Djokovic and biggest rallies at US Open - a better love story than Twilight
Nadal 2013 final 54 shots Murray 2012 final 54 shots Zverev 2021 semi 53 shots Next year Djokovic is gonna play the first 200 shot rally against dustin brown in the final. Ten tweeners and fifty drop shots.
What isn't, really?
Zverev took his legs- and Medvedev took his soul!
Impressive one !
Wow that's poetic.
Team effort!
That means it takes 2 men to beat 1 Novak Djokovic
Djokovic beat Zverev and if you bothered to watch the match you'd notice zverevs legs and soul were taken.
This game was really the US open final. So exciting so well matched & each with a fairly even draw. Best game of the tournament!!
match* we say match, but yeah you could have a point. This match was the final.
@@justdev8965 🙄🙄🙄
How was it the final when Djokovic lost in straight sets to Medvedev? I can see when people say that about like the 2022 Roland Garros quarterfinal between Rafa and Djokovic, because that match was way more interesting and Rafa destroyed Ruud in the finals, but Djokovic got steamrolled in the final by Daniil so.
One of, if not *the* rally of the tournament!
Rallies of all time I would say!
53 shots. That's longer than some "amazing" gun battles in the movies. Brava!
me watching this my brain : thinking about Novak's point against Nadal in 2013
56shots,t hen

little aussie yup
Amazing Sascha and Novak! Great job guys!
Masters both!!!
No wonder he was out of gas when he played Medvedev.
Yeah, well his big fat ego got the better of him too, I thought he was an Alien, who never got tired?
@@pauljohnson6019 It’s called confidence! Dude’s destroying and dominating the tennis world for the last 10 years like nobody ever before and probably never will!
@@Christo01 Maybe, but he sure got a big dent last two weeks, we'll see how he'll do, in 2022.
He played a lot of 4 set matches in the tournament too
@UCmjpOQf0C7PF3TxOVJ7oL8g How big is your ego, how many grand slams have you l won!!
extraordinary performance
The point of the tournament!!!! I watch it live and I remember I roared and scared my 4 years old daughter. That entire service game whas brutal!!!! Sadly Zverev couldn't get it!
Didn't need to, he fatigued Novak for the final, so Medvedev had an easier time, so really, both of them won the U.S. Open, in a way.
I waited and waited and finally got to see this. Awesome.
EPIC point Sascha!🧔🏻😇🎾🥇💫❣
I say it’s the rally of the decade !
Well done ❤❤
I was at the stadium watching this rally and as the rally got longer and longer, you could sense the crowd getting anxious! Absolutely incredible point played by both players!!!
the best
Amazing rallies
What a shot under pressure
This immediately came to my mind after the 55 shot rally between Ruud and Khachanov today
Insane !!!!
Spectacular
this is the biggest match unbeliveable by novak djokovic like a final every shot that was perfect excited and the truely the greatest ! The UNBEATABLE🌟👑♥️
The "unbeatable" who got easily beaten in the final lol
Just talk about this match Different idea. . . .
Shoud be The point of the year
Zverev should win the next Grand Slam level match against Djokovic now
I was just saying this. Next time they play I'm putting big money on Zverev and cashing out lol
@@AbeNVHD in ao djokovic is still the best, but on every other gs its 50_50.tsitsi,zverev and medvedev are incredible players
@@bojanmilenkovic2043 except Novak has better h2h against all the players you mentioned.
@@oshinh4975 Novak is gonna keep getting older while those players enter their prime.
@@sharvaansharex I don't understand your point. Novak is aging like fine wine and about to finish the year end as number 1 for a record breaking 7th time.
Awesome
Best point ever
ZVEREV both of u look great hope 2024 novak can come
fantastic wow cooool😇😗😗
huge
epic
Mad
1:00 i can't believe, of all things, that a lazy forehand slice from zverev was what would generate the weak ball from djokovic that would give zverev control of the rally XD
Y Maja agya
Novak was way more aggressive in 2011 than he is now. In 2011, he was on top of the baseline a lot and really was on the offensive. Wonder if it's an age thing.
susumu Djokovic
2015 was his most defensive but also his more accomplished year. 2011 was peak Djokovic. This Djokovic was actually fairly aggressive in terms of moving forward and taking the net. But yeah, he's never going to hit as hard and as flat as he did in 2011.
1 year later... said what??? 😏😏😏😏🤭
Navak almost 2x age of zverev n its the lambu tall guy on his knees.
The king is dead.long live the new king
Show this to those who say Zverev's a choker.
I guess you missed the part where he lost.
@@TheNabOwnzz There is difference between losing and choking. Even Novak lost in finals, no one called his choker.
@@viratbaivab2990 But he lost because he choked. Zverev was slightly better in the rallies and served better in general, but he lost because he chokes with double faults and weird forehand misses on important moments. It's not because of any fatigue that he lost 6-2 in the fifth. He completely choked mentally. It's always like this with Zverev against Djoko. Zverev usually rallies better, but he almost always chokes in the end.
@@TheNabOwnzz Watch their Olympics match.
@@viratbaivab2990 Djokovic was obviously fatigued there. That hardly counts.
And jimmy arias laughs?
❤
I think unlike Medvedev, Zverev lacks that winner mentality to earn the big tournaments. In Gran Slams he has never defeated a top ten player which is pretty impressive.
true
Don’t disagree a lot but Zverev of past 4-5 years is different from the past 3-4 months
@@roninihanini I've always felt Zverev was most similar to Murray and quite similar in that regard too - Murray leads the bo3 h2h against federer despite playing him lots as a youngster but it was very one sided at a grand slam level. Similarly Zverev has the big game to do well but is still learning the mental side of putting it together to succeed at slams
Zverev will be a big player in the future, even djokovic struggled in his early days against fedal and same was said about him, such difficulties and hurdles in the early stages of a career set the path for a bright future
Zverev needs to work on teh mentality to close out games, many of his recent top 10 matches have gone to 5 sets, he just is unable to close them
😮👍
Someone get in touch with Webster and let them know the new definition of insanity.
This 54 rally point and this match, is what did not allow novak to lift the trophy. zverev unlucky, I believe novak would had beaten daniil in the semi, and would had lost to zverev in final, at novak s age, even if he is a superathlete, he needs to reach final in top form... And for the final he was tired.
yeah lol.
Meddy earned that #2 seeding fair and square. Zverev always had a 50/50 shot of being in Djokovic's half.
Funny. For many djokovic fans age is NOT a factor when talking about Federer. lol
@@fiogray I am a federer fan,, but obviously I can still recognize what an amazing athlete novak is, no tennis player over 30 has won so many grand slams... But said that he is 35, sooner or later age had to catch up with him.
They just trying to see who gonna get tire first!!!!!
Novak is like a machine ;-)
before the Australian open 2021 the GOAT RANKING 1-Federer ... 2. Nadal .. 3. Djokovic. and now the GOAT RANKING 1-Djokovic....2 Federer...3-Nadal
According to who?
@@fiogray why do you ask, or do you has a new execuse
@@travisbickle5279 why don't you just respond the question?
@@fiogray on the court is the true and not by a special fan group...,,dJOKOVIC is right now the no1...do you have a problem with that
@@travisbickle5279 so it's according to you. OK.
Playing from baseline all the time really bores me .
I dont wanna hang out with tennis fans... psssssssssst
So this is what tennis is gonna be like now post Fedal. Endless boring, athletically-intense but artless baseline rallies. No tactics, precise shot placement (Djoko can usually manage that at least), no drop shots, net attack, cross shots aimed at moving opponent out of position, passing shots, poor court coverage. Most shots centered, they barely move. Compare that to rallies when Nadal is on the court, how he makes you run all around the court, recovers from impossible positions.
Alcaraz next gen goat has variety and himself said he based him game on Roger. So be happy
ALEXA...who is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME IN TENNIS= IT IS NOVAK DJOKOVIC
US open whenever novak is in a long rally he ultimately always loses the point.
looks like rally in practice - boring
Honestly a very boring Rally. Very impressive, no doubt but boring. No drop shots. No passing shots. no net game. Booooring!!
Agreed, impressive and all, but oddly boring, I was not carried away.
True, look like they were practicing. Most shots was weak. Ok to have one of these long rallies in match, but if tennis be like this mostly it would be very boring to look.
it was not whether the rally was boring..i watched this point live..the goosebumps i had after zverev hit his forehand winner wasnt comparable with the best shots of the match..
Your comment is boring. This rally was fantastic.
This was boring just knocking it back and forth to each other.
that's what tennis is haha. dunno what you want. there's a lot of nuance to what they are doing, but if that's not what you are interested in, then yeah, tennis is knocking the ball back and forth until one person fails to get the ball back in play XD
@@bonzwah1 It is far more than that. It’s about moving your opponent out of position, forcing weak returns and creating the opportunity to play a winning shot.
@@MrBarrynicholas oh? If you understand that then I fail to understand how you find this rally boring.
@@bonzwah1 Because most shots were safe and down the middle or on the diagonal to each other. They both had chances to play winners down the line, but took the safe option......Hence boring. The ladies final had far better rallies.
Your comment is so boring and mistaken.
NADAL IS GOATEST
The most boring longest rally.
If the point gets long it's largely Djokovic's fault. It doesn't matter if the court is fast enough, Djokovic will always be involved in this kind of boring rally anyway.
Your comment is boring. This rally is impressive.
If it's boring then why are you watching it
