    • How was it the final when Djokovic lost in straight sets to Medvedev? I can see when people say that about like the 2022 Roland Garros quarterfinal between Rafa and Djokovic, because that match was way more interesting and Rafa destroyed Ruud in the finals, but Djokovic got steamrolled in the final by Daniil so.

Zverev was slightly better in the rallies and served better in general, but he lost because he chokes with double faults and weird forehand misses on important moments. It's not because of any fatigue that he lost 6-2 in the fifth. He completely choked mentally. It's always like this with Zverev against Djoko. Zverev usually rallies better, but he almost always chokes in the end.

  • So this is what tennis is gonna be like now post Fedal. Endless boring, athletically-intense but artless baseline rallies. No tactics, precise shot placement (Djoko can usually manage that at least), no drop shots, net attack, cross shots aimed at moving opponent out of position, passing shots, poor court coverage. Most shots centered, they barely move. Compare that to rallies when Nadal is on the court, how he makes you run all around the court, recovers from impossible positions.
