The Gritty Truth Behind El Salvador's Plan To Get Insanely Rich

2023 ж. 16 Мау.
268 444 Рет қаралды

With a pledge to tackle crime, improve living standards, and generate employment opportunities, President Bukele garnered worldwide attention. His ambitious vision to eradicate gang violence and transform El Salvador into a tax-free tech hub rivalling global powerhouses like Singapore and Dubai captured the imagination.
For a nation plagued by dangerous gang activities, where 10% of the population was involved in gangs, this transformation seemed unlikely. Just three years ago, El Salvador was paralyzed by gang wars, tearing families apart, hindering travel, and crippling the government. The scale of violence was so severe that the true numbers were obscured, with disappearances not even included in homicide statistics.
Discover the captivating story of how President Nayib Bukele defied the odds and changed the course of El Salvador's history. But as we unravel the tale of this country's journey towards prosperity, we also explore the concerns surrounding President Bukele's aggressive approach towards autocracy, including his clashes with the press and civil society.
Join us as we delve into the complex narrative of El Salvador, exploring the question: Will President Bukele's plan to bring this impoverished country onto the global stage succeed?

Look at europe or any rich nation except for japan look what is becoming under all that wealth i called a victim of your own success and we wanto avoid that.... I was there during the worst in 2017 and i had blast your using typical toxic shock value to create likes and interest.... You are typical toxic greengo running your mouth beyong logical reasoning....

The beaches are lovely and can snap up huge air b and b apartments for cheap . Lots of construction going on in San Salvador (huge library being built by the Chinese) and the coast, really think in years to come the beaches will be rivalling Costa Rica and Mexico .

    • I lived in El Salvador for four years in the 1980s, five years until 2019. I visited Costa Rica, and found a shit hole colony that was like a suburb of the US. fine if that's what you like. A president who incarcerates 2% of his population in one of the biggest prisons in the world, whose whole family is corrupt and needs to bring the armed forces into the Assembly to force a vote he wanted - if something like 23% of the population voted 90% approval - yep maybe they are getting the government they deserve. Great for the gringo surf rats, but not for the campesinos whose water table is being destroyed by a man who has never cultivated anything more than troll farms and disastrous bitcoin speculation.

  • There was very little hope left for El Salvador, people had almost accepted their fate that they would be murdered by gangs. To experience the amount of change in three or four years, is something that many people in El Salvador will not be able to explain because the moment you ask them, there are tears down their faces. Tears of happiness they have never experience regarding the future of the country.

Second, 10 % of 6 million people is 600 000. The government has apprehended a little more than 60 000 since the crackdown began. A few have been let go and some probably will be let go after being thoroughly investigated finding that they were not involved with gangs. • " Something that the Democratic mayors of big cities could learn from. " In the 1990s the US also enjoyed low crime rates. California had a" 3 strikes you're out" law and NYC enjoyed a low crime rate during the time when Rudy Giuliani was mayor of New York. They know. It was done on purpose with a long term goal to bring down society, overthrow the American constitution and replace it with the communist manifesto. The mayors are cogs in this machine and are executing orders in lock-step. America and the west are going through a cultural revolution of sorts, something very similar like what the FMLN tried to fight for in the El Salvador of the 1980s.
