The actual accuracy of the speed gun aside, bowling 148km/h at sea level is quite something. That’s in the 150’s at altitude. Factor in the ridiculous amount of movement he was getting and that’s not something you want to face too many times in your cricket career. For a shortish fast bowler, he generated incredible pace. thats the epitome of fast bowling.the aura of a proper fast bowler..those eyes..shivering...the sprint and that late outswing over 140 kmph..goodness me..is there any better sight in fast bowling....
Nobody, I repeat, Nobody can match the energy levels of Dale Steyn in his prime time. So many lethal spells.
Show me a spell of this quality by any bowler in the last few years. This is TEST cricket such intensity. True greatness on every surface on every continent. Just unmatched.
Woh, Woh Woh, Steyn's firing bullets. His raw aggression made the competition even more fierce. A true legend. There will never be one like him again.
No other fast bowler can come up at the batsman and keep coming even in the toughest conditions Reverse swinging at 145KPH+ He’s the world’s best fast bowler, yes the stats will say something else compared to other bowlers, but He Remains Unique, one of a Kind ♥️
Well even statistically, he's a monster..439 test wickets, avg 22.95 at a strike rate of 42.3 and imporantly his stats hold up in all conditions including Asia..Yes he won't be playing until his 60s like Jimmy Anderson but while he was playing, he was comfortably the best fast bowler...Anderson has ridiculous longevity but is not in the highest tier of bowlers..That includes like likes of Mcgrath,Akram,Malcolm Marshall,Ambrose and Steyn
@@SARYM911 true But also with that energy Aggression and threat to The opponent No any other bowler will match
I think alongside Steyn Mohammad Amir and shane bond are also bowlers who swing the ball at speed of 140+ these three are best bowlers for me especially shane bond is very underatted
You can be born and raised on fast, bouncy pitches. But a legend like Dale Steyn at his best will trouble anyone.
This makes the current proteas team look like they are having a hello kitty party out on the field
Yes you think any cricket team is going to be hardened in the nets with this guy in the squad. No room for soft batting.
Michael Clarke🇦🇺 Smashed a 150 in this innings, later absolutely thrashing the hell out of Dale Steyn. Those that didn't watch live, check out Michael Clarke's 100 at Cape Town 2011.
Eish give Dale his moment ass.
Who cares
All thing said Clarke still made 84... He was on the height of his powers
he actually made 151 in the end
Abe aside hota hai said nhi gawar
What a run-up what a action no match dude seriously legend
He was lethal of that ERA.... Steyn Gun,🔥
What a bowler ! He was the last pace bowler who could literally get batsmen out at will . Haven’t seen anyone as good as him when it comes to accuracy besides James Anderson.
Glenn McGrath?
@@M.a.kim.a also
Dale Steyn is the best fast bowler of his era 🔥🔥
Imagine prime Steyn vs prime Virat, no matter who wins ,, but how much fun it was to witness the battel.
more of steyn please
Super action, pace, swing, accuracy, attitude n aggression though on a friendly bouncy pitch.. DS is such a treat to watch!
That's how cricket was used to played by South Africa back then . What a team it was . Monsters they are 😱
100% Competiter ! The only way I could think of improving him would be if he was born in Australia and teaming with Mitch Johnson etc. ! Huge respect from this Aussie !😎👍
Beautiful Aggressive action with an unmatchable outswing and quick deliveries.
Ponting with his batting style alone was the best batsman in the world. What a beast he was.
No, Kohli is best
@@akshat20021996 Kohli wasn't playing when Ponting was at his peak mate. Read what they said.
@@akshat20021996 kohli hasn't faced bowlers like wasim waqar curtly ambrose cpurtney walash allan donald and countless fast bowlers of that era comparing him to ponting don't do justice compare sachin and ponting
@nikhilhembrom8952 So what he didn't face but he had potential more than pointing if he batted in sachin era even shoeib akhtar said that virat kohli would be better than today's virat if virat batted in sachin era
IPL kids after pandemic see this video before starting trolling one of the best bowler of this generation and probably the best all format bowler in his time!!.
Styen is the greatest bowler because having average of 22.95 and 439 wickets in test and 25.95 and 196 wickets in one day that too when cricket become one sided batsman friendly with rules favoring batsman. This is great achievement for any bowler in this era.
Absolute Legend.....No doubt about that....... Carry No. 1 ranking for 6 years not a joke. He is still number one bowler for many Cricketer especially in test cricket. Aggression, dedication and Team spirit everything he has. We loved Dale after ABD.
Steyn, Morkel, Philander gun bollwer..🔥🔥🔥
It amazes me how the sth Africans have not won a major trophy, they were number 1 ranked for periods of time in test match cricket
His short ball is as lethal as the ball in front ! Wow
SA has produced some of the greatest fast bowlers that cricket has ever seen. In the lights of Donald, Shultz, De Villers, Morkel to name a few. And in my books Steyn is on the the top 3 from any list of top fast bowlers.
Dale Steyn greatest pace bowler ever 🎉🎉🎉that's the truth❤❤
Dale Steyn on of the best fast bowling in South Africa 😙
For me he is the best fast bowler of this era
I am seriously missing this man bowling..
That aggression 🔥 Steyn 🔥
Dale Steyn was world class in his day.
Blessed with them fast twitch muscle fibres!
Agreed, you are very smart.
One of the series that made me fall in love with cricket
He was so good at varying his pace, knowing the perfect time to drop it back and allow the ball to swing then cranking it up when he needed to.
with that lethal pace, ball is deviating after pitching, its a Nightmare for batsman.... DALE STEYN.... rock solid
Amazing videos it got me feeling like i was watching live
Clarke was simply incredible in this series though.
Beautiful smooth action. I my self was effective against batters with this action. Close to the stumps makes you more threatening because he was able to ball those out swingers to rhb with very little space for batters and with enough pace to back his swing and line he bowled he became an extraordinary bowler.
What a class act and likable guy he is 👍
Dale steyn looks like an Hollywood hero 🎉❤😢😮😅
I really liked watching Steyn bowling.
Its a treat to watch steyn bowling
Love this idea of fast bowler dominating batsman making his life hell on the pitch I agree there should be even contest between bat and ball but more factors play role in that
His era😍💪
Upload South Africa vs Sri Lanka test series 2011
Such a beauty with action swing and pace
Best SA side EVER!! you've got Smith as Captain (look at his record) You've got Kallis And Dale bowling absolute fire! R.I.P SA Cricket
Gem....... One of the best bowler of all time. End of an era
Absolutely brilliant bowling
Look at dis aggression line length swing speed control reading d pitch wow g.o.a.t
Steyn sledzing clarke But keep silent clarke great 🍥
South africa always produces great fast bowlers and they will keep doing this
so underrated - great bowler
Who say u styen is underrated
Underrated? 😂😂😂
Brilliant videos you have, subscribed your channel bro
This is Clark appreciation comment
Wow.. That's Steyn gun of afrika... Loved it
Steyn did bowl with fire and agression.. but kuddos to Clarke he was in for some chin music but he counter attached and was not out till the end of the video
Styen gun 🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫 what a bowler, what a dedication, what a energy Ruthless when he used to in the mood no chance for batter
Though this video is about Steyn look at Clark's score and strike rate. He had shut Steyn'e loudmouth for sure.
But Michael Clarke with a masterclass after that.
I hate comparing eras but these guys feel like giants of the game. Ponting,AB,Kallis,Hussey,Smith ,Clarke,Steyn ..gosh these were quality cricketers. Steyn's new ball spell of speed, hostility and swing is reminiscent of the greatest ever quicks ala Marshall,Hadlee,Trueman,Imran,Wasim, Lillee, Lindwall. Superb.
That ball to S.Marsh was missing. Missing off, missing leg and going on to destroy middle. Steyn would fit in perfectly with the bowling attack of Holding, Roberts, Marshall and Garner. Fast and nasty. Perfect test bowling
5:21 Perfection with the old ball to the world #1 at the time on 80. Bowled beautifully in this innings. Clarke weathered the storm so well. Great knock. That first ball that got Watson was a peach. Only a number 11 could middle that one. Fantastic test cricket.
Speed + swing + aggression 🔥🔥
What a combo bowling plus aggression

Dale...you are beautiful running action player after Pollock
beautiful run up and bowling action........
I used to bowl like with the same action in college life,i really like his line and length of outswinger, treat to watch
it takes lots of strength from shoulder..!!
love is competitive attitude and celebration.
Prime Steyn was peerless. Damn near unplayable. My favourite bowler since Donald.
Is this the game where Clarke scored 150 odd.. One of the best knocks at a good SR if I remember correctly
90s , 2000s and early 2010s were Test cricket at its peak
Absolute class!
Lejjend bowler mis you dale steyn🥰
I like this typ of aggression vs aus 🎉🎉😂 Goat for a reason 🥵🥵
3:02 if an Australian did that Mike Haysman would whinge about it for the rest of the test. Also, Michael Clarke was clearly the best test batsman in the world from mid 2011 to mid 2013. Carried an Australian side that was battling to be honest.
M asif and dale styen they both are very cleaver bowler in the history
My experience rohit sharma unable to touch his ball for three overs relentless bowling
Because he can't play swing
