Never let the truth get into the way of claiming racism and injury. Meghan is full of daggers. She is right that she needs counseling but I do not think they can cure narcissism. She seems to lack empathy. How does she know when Kate cried anyway? Did she follow her around to the bathroom for a month? So sad and really tragic for Harry that she would take family issues to the press. But I dont think Meghan has any idea what a family is about. She grew up like a spoiled only child. Its also unfair because Oprah knows nothing about the Royal Family and Protocal. She never would have had the courage to do this with any British journalist, much less Piers Morgan. Now thats the interview I would like to see!! She sure can dish it out...and back door people. I'm mixed and this is also a thought I had. That may have something to do with internalized racism and the fear of bringing kids into a world that will be cruel to them... But idk. Yeah this definitely sounds bad, but I also thought about it and talked about it with my mom. "If my kids look completely white wouldn't that be weird for their cultural heritage? How much will they feel like they belong in my community? Will I be the only person of color in the household? Should I marry someone of a specific ethnicity depending on how my kids will look like?". It may be messed up but it's a bit of concern, an uncertainty.

She and Meghan are friends. Friends tell each other things, so is it conceivable that Meghan and Oprah hadn't discussed what questions she was going to be asked? None of those answers came as a surprise to Oprah in my opinion. They are both actresses, so they made it look good for the show. Did you not notice that the that Harry corrected Meghan regarding the skin colour. It was a comment made to him on one solitary occasion before they were married. Security was discussed at the same time...... it would be the same as for all great grandchildren (other than those in direct line). I think the rules regarding titles for great grandchildren would also have been in Harry's pep talk. I'm guessing she was aware of all these things well before they married but, a multi-million, star studded ( eye to the future? ) and family-free (on her side) wedding later, here we are. 🙄

Archie wasn't made a Prince because he's not a first generation grandchild of a reigning Monarch. It has nothing to do with race on that score. This rule has been around since 1917. The only exceptions that have EVER been made to this rule are children of a direct heir, meaning someone who will be King or Queen one day. That's why William's children are all Prince/Princess and no other great-grandchildren are. When Charles is King, THEN Archie will be entitled to be styled as Prince if his parents wish. As far as security goes, Harry has a multi-million dollar inheritance and can more than afford to pay for his family's own security.
I understood her to mean that they were told Archie would not get a title even when his grandfather became King.

It isn't a courtesy title that is granted solely at the discretion of the Monarch. The thing that I don't appreciate with Harry and meghan is that they expect to receive money from the royal family although they don't want to be part of the system/ institution. I mean if you leave the royal family you leave the money too. You can't have the cake and eat it, you have to choose one or the other. I'm not saying they are wrong to have left, frankly I would have done the same but at least start your new life from scratch and earn your own money yourself instead of relying on your family wealth that you have decided to leave anyway. If you leave the royal family but still get money from it, then that means you haven't left it.

Lady C who has royal friends said one of them asked her (as she is part Jamaican) what the chances were that the baby's skin show some colour. When Lady C explained that as the baby will be 1/8 black only, it was very unlikely there would be any sign of blackness. Charles has for decades wanted to slim down the monarchy, possibly to just direct heirs. The public doesn't want to fund the lifestyle of too many royals and the British Royal family is quite large. I hope he has the guts to do it, this is a branch of the family tree that needs trimming. Slimming down the monarchy to just direct heirs is something that both the Swedish and Danish monarchy has already done.

Even when your partner is not a Prince people usually do basic research and try to gather important informations like past relationships... And then she says she had no idea they had to curtsy in front of the QUEEN. How can you ignore that ? Was she trying to appear naive, clueless or dumb ? And before her wedding she kept saying nice things about Diana during interviews like she was well informed, yet now she is saying she had absolutely no knowledge about the Crown and she never heard of Diana's famous interview ? She didn’t know she had to curtsy to the queen in private, with just the family present. Not that she was never supposed to curtsy. The royal family has these archaic traditions and protocols even when it’s just them in private which to me is super weird. Maybe Meghan wasn’t asking the right questions but for a lot of Americans learning you have to curtsy to the Queen in private is a huge shock. Americans don't think about the royal family. I'm sure they're lovely, but a big part of American identity is that we don't have a monarchy. We certainly follow English culture and politics, but the only time the royal family gets coverage here is when there's a life cycle event (Americans do love to watch royal weddings), or the President meets with the royal family. Every time a woman is pregnant people around her figure out about how the baby will look like. I remember people wondered about my baby's sex, hair color, eye color, who he will resemble the most... Am I the only British immigrant to France who, when confronted with the fact that the Royal family as a whole and as an institution 'may' be racist went "Well, duh!"?
You're probably neither the only British AT ALL, nor the only person, immigrant or not, living in France. Or basically anywhere else in the world I guess.

They were also sexist up until the last few years, when Charlotte was born. They have thought it was ok for Ann to be overlooked to be Queen if something had happened to Charles in there younger days.

IF the reigning Monarch Decides to gift the titles to the grandchildren; they can choose to not gift those titles.
It appears Charles is considering weather to extend the tile of Prince to Archie when Charles becomes King.

@@twincherry4958 I agree. It would not be a good move for Charles in the instance due to the political implications. Charles only has two sons. To extend the titles to Harry's two children will not upset the apple cart neatly as much as not doing So.
@@mimo4000 I think Harry is not the most intelligent fellow in the world. His teachers have said they had to cheat to pass him through school. He thought it was cool to dress as a Nazi. Nobody wants to say anything negative about Diana, but she wasn't the sharpest either. She was kind and generous with a good heart, but brilliant she was not. I think Meghan expected Harry to know how to handle things better. But his accent and manners covered his lack of intelligence.

They are no longer internationally protected persons. The Obama children no longer have security either. They were better protected living in the very private grounds at Windsor than in California. Also it’s public record (Charles’ finances are public) that Harry received £4 million from his dad last year. Brats.
I think the security issue is more like when they go to school and stuff like that. You have to assume at some point they won't be with their parents.
He is not entitled to security. The line of the heir only. Charlotte and Louis may not get it paid for either.
I agree with you ; given how nuts british tabloïds are, how racist/nationalist some people are, I really don't blame her for being very sensitive about security, even if she is perceiving it as a bigger issue than it might actually be. She obviously did not feel welcome by some in the royal family, and many in the press, so that makes you be extra paranoid about the outside world. I would add that when your child is "métis", you get extra aware of what you feel like is a difference of treatment because of skin color. Give her a pass on that one Paul! Absolutely, it was probably more of an enquiry, but everything has to be blown out of all proportion
It was allegedly said when harry was dating Meghan, not when she was pregnant. Massively different context. The royal family are a white family & have been as far as we can go back. Harry marrying a woman who was bi-racial was unusual & for me therefore it was very normal for someone in the RF to mention the issue of how their kids might look, in casual conversation. I have a feeling that it was just 2 close family members believing they were having a private conversation (that should have been kept quiet) & then when Harry stupidly recounted the conversation to Meghan it triggered her & she roped Harry into seeing it differently. Candace Owens rightly said that Meghan has wrongly transferred the American obsession with race onto Britain. Meghan didn't have the intelligence to understand race in Britain isn't as divisive thing as it is in the U.S. She was looking at the incident through the lens of her experience in America. Very wrong to do. Any healed person wouldn't have read deeply into it. Sadly many who are subjected to discrimination often see it everywhere when it isn't there. The thing is - Meghan looks white & she knows it. She has likely never directly been at the receiving end of racism - only witnessing it towards her mother. I honestly think she's inventing most of what she says to manipulate the public.
