"About as narrow, committing, and epic as it ever gets" | El Rio Claro

Outside of Molina, Chile, lies one of the most incredible places to experience. The rio Claro is a river that you can only truly appreciate its glory, and many sections are only possible to access, by kayaking it. It is about as narrow, and committing as kayaking gets. It is one of my favorite runs in the world, and by far one of the most beautiful. The chrystal clear water, the towering overhanging walls of the gorge, and the endless drops. It is a place like one other, and I am always counting down the days till I can drop back in.

  • I used to kayak with my dad when he was alive. I haven't been since he passed. I was supposed to take his ashes to Antietam and put them in the water when I go kayaking but just haven't found the strength or anyone to go with. I miss kayaking with my dad. It was what he loved. So much that he worked for river and trails doing kayaking trips. This video made me think of my dad.

    • I bet your dad would want you to have fun and go kayaking again :) when you think of him don't be sad and remember the good times I hope you find a buddy to do it with again, and I think it would do you good to fulfill your dad's wish and get rid of that mental burden you will feel freer in your mind afterward :) wishing you all the best

It’s like a deep turquoise/blue and seems warm perhaps because it does look like a hot tub haha. And the white waves kind of look like bubbles in a bath. @Iz0pen@Iz0pen11 ай бұрын
    • @@Iz0penMost cyclists don't endanger theirs or other's lives I'm not sure what you are trying to say here.

      @cloaker416@cloaker41611 ай бұрын
    • @@cloaker416 Cyclists are usually ok. Cyclists 'getting together with their mates' changes that. A group of cyclists together is annoying. It's impossible for them not to be. It's not like they even ride single file or anything like they should. Their casual chat as they ride along is important and your deadline be damned. This is why I don't ever cycle in a group. Cycling is lone transportation. And by myself I manage to appease my rights, whilst not putting myself in danger or inconveniencing others. 30 cyclists in a group is a mob and none of them are obeying the law, or being courteous Road users.

      @bobhawke7373@bobhawke73733 ай бұрын
    • @@bobhawke7373 cycling abreast is legal.

      @cloaker416@cloaker4163 ай бұрын
    • Yeah I said "like they should be". See my point. Riding in a mob is obviously annoying and dangerous behaviour, but cyclists will do it without a law to stop them. They don't care how dangerous they make the road. Thanks for emphasising exactly what I am saying. This is why mob cycling is hated. It's obviously a silly behaviour but cyclists stick to their guns that they have a right. I'm just one that looks inwardly and sees that I should ride in a safer and more courteous manner. I am the slowest and weakest thing on the road and act accordingly. I even stop for traffic lights and stop signs and don't defer to a pedestrian path all of a sudden to avoid a red light like a lot of cyclists do. If two cars have just overtaken me on a skinny road, I also may pull up behind them at the next red light, instead of coasting past them whilst they are stopped, only for me to be in their way again. A lot of cyclists, have a lot of ego about their cycling. That's a fact. What I meant by them not obeying the law on a group of 30, is the fact that they don't obey the law in those big groups. They don't stick to a single lane, and they don't indicate. A group of cyclists swelling and shrinking inside and outside of lanes is not, riding abreast. Riding abreast is two people riding next to each other obeying the road rules in the nominated cycle lane. If you are riding abreast in a lane also dedicated to traffic, you deserve to be run over. You think every driver is paying attention? Safety is your own responsibility.
