Lyrics:
Find yourself a girl and settle down
Live a simple life in a quiet town
Steady as she goes (Steady as she goes)
Steady as she goes (Steady as she goes)
So steady as she goes
Your friends have shown a kink in the single life
You've had too much to think, now you need a wife
Steady as she goes (Steady as she goes)
So steady as she goes (Steady as she goes)
Well here we go again
You've found yourself a friend that knows you well
But no matter what you do
You'll always feel as though you tripped and fell
So steady as she goes
When you have completed what you thought you had to do
And your blood's depleted to the point of stable glue
Then you'll get along
Then you'll get along
Steady as she goes (Steady as she goes)
So steady as she goes (Steady as she goes)
Well here we go again
You've found yourself a friend that knows you well
But no matter what you do
You'll always feel as though you tripped and fell
So steady as she goes
Steady as she goes
Settle for a world, neither up or down
Sell it to the crowd that has gathered 'round
Settle for a girl, neither up or down
Sell it to the crowd that has gathered 'round
On virgin airlines, when you were flying a long haul flight, they used to give you a little packet of earphones that you could plug into your seat. And on the arm rest there was a little control pad. You could either watch the latest films, or watch tv shows or listen to music. And in 2006, this album was a new release and it was one of the albums available to listen to on the flight. So I listened to it on repeat for like 8 hours from the UK to the Caribbean. And bought the album when I got home from holiday. I remember that more clearly than I remember the whole vacation.

I've listened to this song since I was nine and I never knew it was Jack White Dishonor on my cow
dishonor on your whole family
I've been listening since it was released and the names of the group got old or something. Because I was unaware that Jack White could even play the guitar. Not until I realized they were gonna showcase him in this band. This song was in dedication to an old friend of his but he said goodbye to him a long time ago. And I ain't naming him. Because it's not worth dropping. But anyways, it was a lovely tune, and I want more guitar like this. I'd even dig his vinyl crate, but I wouldn't give the white stripes a listen. Too much drug use and chivalry about his name. I like the way he sing the blues, though.
Dagan Olson 😂😂💀💀
Dagan Olson I'm saying the same thing right now.
seriously? dudeeeeeeeeeeeee
Song still slaps in 2023. Jack White never fails to hit the spot.
Slapz what??? Ur aZzbELLa azz and calls ya Mace or FDS? I'd hand ya the planned Parenthood # and call it a day. Great song, Jack White and the Racatuers... perhaps a sic misspelling bee'er but are there many racoons in a Racatuer? Or a nine ball rack? Cut throat or throke...🤷the way the brain's sanapses synapse and as the flat earthers enjoy the orange stuff 🤢🤮🤢🤮🥵🤮🤢🤮 Moreover, maybe if I didn't hide the vile Kyle and was more for what it's worthwhile...who knows... can't if only it to def.

this song would always play on the alt rock radio station played on my middle school bus rides. my bus route friend and I would lose our minds every time cause we loved this one. probably 2012 or 2013. It’s funny you say this as I was thinking just the other day how different songs sound to you as you get older. I love that music can change with how and when you listen to it and also what mindset you are in. A funny thing is how you can perceive it too. Many songs can have you think they are about things and then one day you re listen and actually make you realise what it was actually about.
