  • This was the test Chimaev needed, this has humbled him and also prepared him for what is next. I felt coming into this fight he sadly underestimated Burns, this is what kept him from the finish IMPO. Initially he was crisp, focused and precise, but after the 1st round he became impatient and frustrated which clouded his judgement causing him to get rocked. His chin is solid, his heart is there, but his inexperience with stand up is clear against a striker like Burns. I would fear Chimaev from here on out, he now knows the level of competition he will be facing and will step up his game and increase his training regimen. I feel sorry for his next opponent!

  • From my eye as a humble martial artist khamzat was "taking pictures" or being around too long after he landed. Every massive punch from gilbert that landed was a late hook after a miss from Khamzat. Easy for him to fix, and great showing from gilbert. Fight of the year so far for me. GREAT FIGHT 👊 ! All sincerity, Khamzat is only 27. Give it a year or so from him tightening up and continuing the bromance with Till and his camp is solid, he'll be the champion in my irrelevant and humble opinion lol 🦉 💎

I honestly feel he got a bit carried away with all the hype and social media distractions.. if he wants to be champion he needs to be way more focused and work really hard for it..

  • He really has everything to be the GOAT of MMA: Work ethic, hunger/necessity, love of violence/fighting, personality, fan favourite, tough/warrior-like, entertainment factor, great coaching, humility, talent, no real flaws to his game (can strike & grapple + whatever you want), size/physique/athletic ability, fight IQ, fearless and supreme confidence, a chin, conditioning (as long as he stick to game plan and doesn't brawl), you name it he has it all. All he needs now is some more experience against elite comp. I've never seen anyone like this in any fighting sport.
