I gotta hand it to the author(s) of the series: a hulk out being triggered by David getting thrown in front of a parade wagon by a guy in a gorilla suit, kicking him in the face repeatedly is something I would not have thought of.

Liam Weyne Maybe they were experimenting with the ripped pants look. More common in season 4 and 5.
