Coming back after watching this years ago hits hard. The amount of emotions and the way it made me feel was amazing.. Movies/shows never touch me, but this one did. I cannot even express how deeply disturbed/moved it made me. Truly a masterpiece.

When this song happened at the end of season 2 and Clay broke down while being held by Tony and the others, I broke down as well. Especially the first time. I was like I was being punched in the heart. But it is one of my absolute favorite scenes of 13 Reasons Why.

I can so relate to Clay. I was about to be engaged to a girl in 2019 from another state. We got on really well. We had even planned what kindergarden her toddler daughter was going to go to. She had had a really hard life and I just wanted to be her husband and provide her (and her daughter) with love and security. Just before we were about to be engaged, she told me never to talk to her again, and she cut me out of her life, totally. It was like she had actually died, knowing that I was dead to her, and that I would never see her again. I guess she was so used to being mistreated that a 'nice guy' (me) turned her off. It took me a long time to get over my grief, but I hope that everything works out for her and her daughter. I still think of her sometimes. I guess we were just too different.

I watched it when i was in high school while having some of the darkest times in my life. Now it s been about 4 years. Everytime i hear this music and especially this music and with this video, it brings back so many memories. The sadness of this tv show hits me like crazy. I feel like i am clay and i lost hannah and it s like i really lost her in real life. The idea of the tv show was litterally crazy and awesome. Thank you SELENA GOMEZ for this PIECE OF ART. I swear i am feeling sadness in my heart right now as i write this comment. girl I had to comment under this . I was in high-school too when S1 aired . One of the first TV shows I watched and def one of my favourites. Developed an obsession for hot chocolate as well because of Hannah & Jessica at Monets. Lolol. I had a great time back there while watching the show with my high school friends. It's been almost 6 years and we are not friends anymore . Life is so different now . Happened to watch S1 last week after a long ass time and yesh , high-school memories came flooding back. i felt this song so much when watching the full season and show. its a feeling of a moment that backs you up to think before moving forward between drugs, relationships. its a sad emotion of love, how time went by very quickly. i suggest everyone watch this movie because it compared the movie time frame to real life situations. such as people with mental illness struggling in real life at this time of year. this basically suggests that there should be more mental health resources, not just hospitals but more access to mental health care needs and in the local neighborhoods of all of the five boroughs of new york.

Only if you have watched all four seasons can you fully understand the importance of this song. It’s an amazing story and really isn’t like any other “teen drama” series. And fuck me, when Justin died I was completely unprepared and cried. It just makes you connect with the characters more than any other show i’ve ever watched. So amazing.
I watched this show when I was 11 yo now I'm almost 18 and can say it saved me somehow, made me realize some things. Their story truly marked me, making me cry each time I think of it. It's now my favorite show and song, even though It's way more than just a song or a serie. Hope it will save someone else's life too.

I noticed that and then I went through the song again and realized the first line represents everyone who wronged hannah hasn’t dealt with what they did to her. And then the line “I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you” definitely represents clay losing hannah. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do haunted by the ghost of you” is directly about season two and in season two clay literally didn’t know what to do about her ghost. I was like woah it was almost like this song was meant for the show. I’m glad it was their slow dance song it’s absolutely beautiful.

So true! I know for sure that I am and have been a Clay Jensen in so many people's lives. But sadly this always comes at a price... I lost my older cousin to suicide when I was 12, and two nights before he died he came home and spent the evening with us. He basically came to say goodbye and we didn't realize it, we taught he was finally doing better. I will never forget what he told me because it forever changed my life for the better. I didn't have dreams or goals, no kid does at this age do but he believed me to be special enough to accomplish anything I wanted. Ever since I knew that this is what I wanted to do: save people, make a difference in their lives. And that's what I did ever since he died. Life has been so eventful and still is. It's exhausting but so worth it to know that you made someone feel safe again or that they have someone in their life to lessen their burden enough to get back up slay their demons.

I may have only watched season one fully and the second season a few episodes until it got difficult to watch. But this show got me through my lowest point in life. Literally one of the main reasons I'm still alive today, no matter how bad it got going forward, it'll always have a special place in my heart. I rewatch the first season every year, and it makes me happy to be alive and thriving with every rewatch.

This song should’ve been played at the end of Season 4 of 13 Reasons Why. Everyone who has watched the show has been drawn to this song because of the relationship of Clay and Hannah, and how Clay moved on with his life after her death. I genuinely don't understand how people don't like this show. It's so powerful and (at least the first season) so realistic. It portrays mental illness in a real and powerful way. The actors, the writers; everyone who worked on this show did a phenomenal job on it. I loved this show so much when I first watched it.
