Hi, my name is Professor Alex Silver!
Every Sunday, I release a new episode focusing on a unique character from the Pokemon anime. Each class focuses on the character's narrative arc, including all of their battles, storylines & character development. No trainer or Pokemon is off the table, so if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!
I don't think the original reserve crew of Muk, Kingler, Snorlax, and the Taurous here will ever fade away. The sight gags they have whenever Ash visits Oak's lab have become ingrained in the series. We might only see Tarous and Snorlax get pulled into battles, but Muk will always have a place in the series.
I'm ready for Muk's creepy backrubs with Birch to return to the series
I always theorized that Oak gave Muk a bath & cleaned out the PokeBall, fixing its stench issue. Maybe that's why Muk bonded so heavily with Oak.

I adore Muk I really hope Ash uses a lot more of his old Pokemon in Journey's which would make sense for the world tournament I'm also happy Muk clearly still loves Ash and it's 100% of one his most loveable Pokemon
The only bad thing about Ash using his reserves is that I must redo all my videos lol.
@@ProfessorAlexSilver a sacrifice worth taking I'm also a big fan that someone is talking about Ash his older lesser used Pokemon I know you'll also talk about more popular once because for example Snorlax hasn't been used in a long time, while he's great and would be a great Pokemon to talk about next But most people would have just started out with Charizard and Greninja or something like that So I really appreciate it that you talk about all his Pokemon Popular or not
Thank you Intell! Good to know I'm not the only one who likes the obscure Pokemon. Snorlax would be great -- it's definitely a Top 6 Pokemon for Ash. Eventually, I want to cover the Manga series too. I'd highly suggest checking out Pokemon Adventures. It's been going on for 20+ years and is in many ways a lot better than the anime.

Unfortunately he doesn't. But he became world champ anyway with the Pokemon he caught during Journeys.

I think Ash's Muk made me appreciate the Pokemon more. I also love the Alolan form. I love how affectionate Ash's Muk was lol I'm glad it still shows up in the anime every now and then. (:

Muk is definitely a Pokemon of Ash's that could have benefited from getting to battle more often. For being considered to be one of his more powerful Pokemon in Johto, it didn't really get much screen time when it wasn't being used for comic relief.

Ash's Muk made my young self never judge a book by its cover. Who knew the scary dangerous sewer pokemon would really be a hug obsessed happy-go-lucky gentle giant? I am kinda glad he never joined Ash's regular team though. His Chikorita was similar in character, and during the episodes when she was freshly evolved i felt so bad for her. She couldn't show affection without being yelled at because of she wasn't a small Pokémon anymore and would tackle Ash when trying to land on his hug T_T

A fun always liked Muk. Fun personality and didn't realize he had been used so little over the years. Happy Muk was able to become part of the team by not only bonding with Oak, but Ash as well.

Just a correction of Journeys, Muk did cameo in episode 76 as he affectionately greeted Ash with a hug after Ash was launched by his Tauros. Ash had returned with Goh to Professor Oak’s lab

If you didn't know in the current Arc we did see Muk save Ash by catching him as his Tauros send Ash fly. It made me happy when I saw Muk again and show he care for Ash and how strong it is able to catch a human too.

If Ash did have muk return and train, then muk could have a better move set. Learning dark pulse to combat psychic types and an ice type move to handle ground types.

this was a pretty good video :) keep it up with the amazing videos and stay safe. btw i dont if this was pointed out but in the sun and moon series the same one he appeared to be compared to the alolan muk he can be seen hugging ash. i find muk a pretty adorable pokemon and has a pretty good life change since he now is a friendly and always huggable pokemon :D

It's interesting how Muk was at first a "bully" with his army of Grimers and then became a loveable Pokémon who always hugs Professor Oak & Ash when he returns. Though perhaps if Ash did choose to keep Muk on his team there would be the possibility of Muk becoming stronger and having a wider attack arsenal i.e., sludge bomb and body slam.

@@ProfessorAlexSilver I think he changed from his time with Professor Oak. Remember how Oak said that Pokemon become more like the person they spend the most time with? And how Kingler and Muk became really affectionate and loving? That tells us a little something about Oak's character.... 👀

I'd be interested in a Video about Saturn from Team Galactic's Toxicroak, it appears multiple times so it could be enough there for a video. I always thought it looked like its shiny version when you compare how it looks to the game sprites but I don't really see that mentioned anywhere. and if you have already made a video on Toxicroak well then whoops never mind

I loved Muk as a kid, and still do but it always felt like such a weird pokemon for Ash to own to me for some reason.
I like the wild cards. They're such fun, surprising captures

Ya know I’m starting to think Ashes Muk is special. I mean look back at its battle with Bellsprout. It’s body acted more rubber than slime. It showed no signs of being harmed or being in pain. In fact i think he’s Muk is more rubber than sludge.

Ash poison purple team can include toxtri city. There is greater chance ash catch toxtricity instead of kubfu. Muk, Nangadel and toxtricity.
