    • I had that happen to me in Babe Ruth ball in the mid 70’s …I was pitching and my manager had come to the mound to take me out of the game… He was stalling a bit to allow a few more warm up pitches for the kid coming to replace me…so the umpire comes out and says in a smart ass tone to hurry up. I said “what you have a date tonight or something?” He says “fukc you” so I say “fukc you too” He tossed me from the game. I go into the dugout and the commissioner happens to be there and asks me what happened. I tell him. He proceeds to go out and throw the umpire off the field and I get to go back out and play Centerfield. Loved it

    • The on field mics in American Football are heavily edited and censored in real time, the broadcast delay we have by law makes that possible. At the line of scrimage (that's where the offensive and defensive line is) it gets "Uber Amerikana" among the boys there. Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs run fast and talk to each other at the same time. You just aren't allowed to hear the full experience on TV, and since everyone on the field is in helmets with facemasks you can't lip read them.

    • Baseball is the only sport where people get mad at running up the score even though baseball has no clock and their definition of a blow out has been turned around in the 9th multiple times. The only sport where you have to play shittier to spare the other team’s feelings or get a fastball to the head. More sensitive than macho really

    • @@Angels510 I think the whole "dont run up the score thing" comes from a time when games werent so high scoring so it was way less likely a team would come back. Still, that unspoken rule in any sport is silly. If you don't want them to run up the score, play better.

  • As a cubs fan: First Jomboy's lip reads just keep getting better, thatss the most important thing. The Votto bat flip is whatever, who cares. However Ross is right. These ump's were shown to have no level 1 ump amongst them and it showed here where they had no idea what was going on and Ross called them out for it.
