Instructions unclear, ended up mining my house IRL
XD At least you will have a lot of spare pasts now to rebuild IRL.
great tutorial, one suggestion tho, make HUD bigger for these videos so its easier to see items
Hey datadagelishvili702, its something I did right after the tutorial. So it will be better in the future vids. Thank you for the suggestion. Appreciate it. Also apologies for the late reply, irl got a bit busy and took over.
Excellent tutorial bud! Love the progression in it, had a great flow. You're a natural at these tutorials. =)
Glad you like it bud, was just worried it gets boring, but seems to be doing well. Which I am Happy about.
Don’t stress. You’re helping people have fun in their own worlds. Thats pretty cool
Best to add a seat at the back glued to the drill contraption that way u just need to sit in the back and add the torches as it moves which helps free your other hand for drinks or what ever.
Yeah that's another way of doing it. The thing with these contraptions are that they can easily get adapted to suit each players individual needs. For me I never add a seat as I run along harvesting all the other exposed ores anyway. So a quality seat will be wasted on me. 🤣
i’ve made this so many times but always go back to this video so thank you!
Annasmith you are so welcome! I am just glad that people find the video helpful! Should share some of you miner designs. Would be interesting to see.
If you add a drill infront of where you are placing the cobble you can mine a line, place redstone blocks, mime them back up so dont use up any redstone and then you can use powered rails instead of a furnace minecart, if you want the tunnel to still have a bridge you can place a deployer behind as well
Hey jamesdugo3048, we discussed the Redstone addition to the drill before, and have to admit this is the best solution out of the bunch. I can see how I have to make a revised Video once the new Create Update comes out, showing a bunch of new ideas and suggestions by the viewers. Thank you for the feedback and suggestion.
Hey, I don't really get where you put the drill. Do you replace the andesite casing Infront of where the deploy is placing cobblestone with a drill? Would it be automatically powered? Edit: deployer behind what?
Powered rails feels slower overall, to me. Also the movement is less smooth. So personally i prefer the charcoal powered cart.
@@Levi89723 It's been a while since I looked at it but as far as I remember, there are a few different deployers, one in front to put a block down for the track to be placed onto/the contraption to run on, the deployer placing the track, and the suggestion I was making is that you can mine out the block that the track would be placed on, place down a redstone block, put a powered rail onto that block (instead of normal rail) then pick up the redstone block with a drill further back in the contraption. This will however leave a hole if the contraption crosses a ravine so it needs a deployer behind the contraption to replace the block (that had been replaced with redstone). tldr: you can use redstone blocks under powered rails rather than charcoal/coal but it's honestly more effort than just making a tree farm and charcoal cooker
One thing that doesnt add a lot of complexity to this build is adding deployers to build a tunnel around the tunnel bore and also to place blocks in front of the tunnel bore so it will destroy lava and water as it moves forward. With the caves and cliffs update, underground water pools are much more common and it will destroy the rails if you do not destroy source blocks and build your own tunnel. Building a tunnel also makes it possible to function in the nether for netherite scrap mining
Thank you for the comment. Also as of the caves and cliffs update water and lava does not destroy rails anymore. So thats okay. The big enemy to this machine now is Dripstone and kelp 😂… but I am working on a revised version of this with a few new additions.
@@Deosil25 Hello! Great work on the design. Might I ask why dripstone and kelp hurt the machine? Also, is your new version coming out soon? Thanks!
@@Deosil25 Hi just wondering if you have made the revised version of this one yet ?
@@hedyhopes3591 I recently rebuild it in my 1.20 Playthrough and everything still works exactly the same, My only addition was an extra drill at the bottom to ensure it removes Dripstone and other items that might break the machine. I can share some info over on my Discord.
@@Deosil25that makes a lot of sense, thank you for the info
Thank you for making this me and my friends got a lot of stuff we need for future projects
Hey Jonnytb212, I am so happy that this helped you and your friends. We all have our own on the server as well, and its super helpful. You can also run it in the Nether and End, just a bit more Dangerous. Happy Mining!
this was really well explained, thank you!
I am so glad you found it useful and that my explaining was good! I hope the Mining Machine helps with all the resource gathering needs!
It worked perfectly, thank you!
I am so Happy it worked for you Electra! Happy Drilling!
We bout to create the Minecraft industrial age with this one
Thanks for this tutorial. I myself am using the create mod, and this video really helped with my attempt to create a mining machine.
Hey Michaelwawak, I am really glad that the tutorial helped you out. I am hoping to create an updated Video over the next week (If time allows). So if you have any questions, or things not in the Video. Please let me know as I am busy compiling a list of things to improve in the next version.
I think if you're going with the furnace minecart way and not the powered rails' one you can add a deployer (In my contraption I've put it just between the cobble deployer and rail deployer) which feeds coal to the minecart. It appeared to work properly to me as about 10 pieces of coal disappeared from the chest as the contraption started mining Edit: I was wrong, I've put it below the cobble deployer
That is a nice way to automate the coal feeding. Busy working on my rework and might just borrow this idea and add it to my contraption. Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
Thanks, building some railway stuff in creative and this was a good way to carve out a tunnel quickly since I don't know how to use world edit etc lol
Corey I am so glad it helped! I use it for the same purpose as well as mining. Now I just need to make a contraption that can make my tunnels pretty! A friend gave me some basic lessons in World Edit... But I tend to destroy things so I stay away from it! HAHA
I have the create mod. I followed the steps and it actually worked. I am going to use this when I am going to build a tunnel on minecraft.
Hey Euromatrixkung, I am glad the tutorial was at least easy to follow and made sense. Looking forward to hearing how it works for you and what you do with this machine. Appreciate the comment.
Pointed dripstone stopped the contraption (because it couldn't lay down a block on it and the drill didn't hit it because it was below it), but I guess that's not something very common :) Thanks for this explanation
Hey AhDeh, So what I did in my Survival world was extend one drill down so I would pick up the lower block as well, and then just replaced it. But like you mentioned it does not happen that often. Still a pain thou!
Good I built my contraption near an ocean then, dripstone caves don't generate anywhere near it 😄
Thanks a lot for this design!!! Im a beginner in create and this is perfect for my purposes and also very easy to make😊
Hey Migatinhachik, I am so happy you could use this! I also want to welcome you to the Create Community! There are so many awesome Builders out there and if you have time you should watch my Create Lets Play series and come hang out with the community!
Thanks for the tutorial!
Only a pleasure!
Awesome step by step tutorial. Easy to follow. Thanks.
Hey GmanAtheistNell! Really glad it was easy to follow along. One of my first tutorials and I am really happy that it helped you out! Happy mining!
Created similar, but 3*3 variant. I dont think 5*5 make a huge difference due to the mechanics of ore spawning. Im using the mining corridor the bore machine produces mainly to access new caverns. Also the bore machine doesnt disassemble rails, tunnel feels more natural with rails staying (however, the iron cost increases, but im okay with it).
Hey Resursator. Thank you for the comment. That's what I like about the machine, its the possibility to make it any shape you want to meet your requirements. I was thinking now that it would be possible to make the machine place other blocks as well, that way you can create the tunnels in a lot more detail! To almost match the Original MC Tunnels. The iron use could somewhat get offset by using the cobble to get nuggets again, but that's a whole separate machine in the long run.
@@Deosil25 indeed, I created iron generator to feed the bore machine. And yes, you can decorate tunnels, but this would make the machine a lot more massive and it would increase resource demand even more, so I didn't make it. I would like to add torch placing to it, but I couldn't think of the way to make it place the torch not on every block. You probably need a different approach to the bore machine for this, something like a flying piston machine in vanilla. Self building bridges made by Mumbo are similar to what I think the bore machine with auto decorations could be. But it's too complicated to make, so I'm fine with the way it works right now)
Mumbo's self Building bridge video, with the blue ice and lava was such a cool video!
I just built my 3x3 one from scratch today and I also didn't add the plough, rails could be useful if I wanted to e.g. send chest minecarts back home later on
Thank you! this is great!
Only a Pleasure and I am happy it helped!
Thank you so very much!
Hey Luksay. Its only a pleasure. Hope it got you loads of resources.
Hey I absolutely love the idea and the design! I tried to add a little "safe-room" where someone could sit and afk on a chair but I encountered a problem where lava would go through the entire machine since the machine isnt "solid blocks", rather a moving entity once in action. Do you have any ideas on how to combat this to make it fully AFK-able? Cheers.
Hey MrQuackios, This is true... So it will make it all contraption once you activate it... I am wondering if one can maybe make the machine build a roof over your head? That you can either leave, or remove again? This might be something I look into soon!
@@Deosil25 please do! Thanks!
Thank you very much this is so helpful to use it 👍
I am so much this helped Bud!
This thing is awesome using it now to hollow a mountain base
It works so well in Clearing big spaces. You building a Workshop in the mountain? Glad you Like the video and I Appreciate your comment!
this is awesome, thank you, I am new to create, but this has got me thinking - a 3rd deployer pointing sideways with torches in to light them walls up in your tunnels
This is a idea I pondered myself, but the only thing is the fact that you will need A LOT of torches... But that is no to big of a problem once you have a tree farm? Also Welcome to the CreateMod and I am looking forward to seeing some of your Builds. Appreciate the comment.
I was thinking maybe there’s a way to slow down the torch déployer so it just lights up the area? Also if you ever see this, is it important for the main block to be andesite casing and if so why?
@@MagicXRoads534 I did see this! 😊😊 So I have not found a way to slow down the deployers for torch placing. Think their speed is relative to the speed of the minecart contraption - I sound like a scientist. As for the Casing. NO. There is no need for it to be made out of A. Casing at all. I just used it myself in the Tutorial as it looks neat, but you can use other blocks as well. I recently build one that had Girders incorporated. Hope this helps, happy mining!
mechanical drills - amount of your desire? deployer - 2 andesite casing - as many as drills + 16 barrel - 1 stairs - 1 mechanical plough - 1 cart assembler - 1 rails lever - 1 minecart with furnace - 1 coal - as fuel source storage part: chests chutes tools: wrench super glue
Thank you so much. The OLD Pinned comment got unpinned with newer Videos. So I added your list to the description and left a Special thanks! Happy Mining!
Tysm, i loved your video and its so usefull!
I am happy that the Video was of use to you! Enjoy the abundance of resources!
Im building a secret underground railway on my server and this helped alot. I made it automaticly place train tracks
Icequake I am so glad you could use this machine. The ide of just having it build your rail systems is a interesting one indeed... I am also sure you can change it up so it decorates the tunnel as well... Might look into that myself.
Thank you for your help
Its a pleasure!
What a lekker oke, exactly what I was looking for
Lekker! Glad you liked the tutorial bud. Hope it makes farming go smooth!
this is nuts
Hey Classlessrook, This machine is insane with the amount of resources it can gather. Now if we can only automate it 100%
Hey mate, nice concept! Is there a way to automate the resources flow out of machine, or it can only work when you are nearby? Ty!
Hey Lesnoy, Sadly this machine requires you to be there, which does not do much for the whole full automation. Hopefully with the new update something comes out!
Thank you for the tutorial, I plan to give this a whirl tomorrow. I was just wondering what happens if it encounters water or lava...? Any issues? Also the biggest problem I had in the past was silverfish blocks and the silverfish pushing the contraption off the rails.
Hey Sonjamclellan, I am so happy you like the Tutorial and you should totally send me a picture of your miner over on Twitter or Discord. Would like to see it. As for the Lava and water. I use this one in the nether and it has gone through water caves and it just keeps going. So that's good news, As for the Silver Fish. That's something I would have to look into. Will report back ASAP!
very VERY good tutorial Mua!
Really happy it helped you out!
Deosil25 awesome tutorial. I made a similar build, but shorter. I am not able to get my deployers to lay down stone and or rails. Everything is glude and one I get my cart furnance some coal, it starts to move. Drills work just not the deployers.
Hey Underloard102, Glad you liked the Tutorial. Something that could be the problem. Did you put filters on the deployer. Make sure you put a rail in the one filter and the block you will be placing in the other (Usually Cobble).
I had the same problem and it was due too using my contraption in claimed chunks on multiplayer maps.
Great video!
Hey Lunamaoonagaming, Glad you liked the Tutorial. I hope it helps other people in easing the hard work behind strip mining in Create.
Thx man
Just a pleasure.
i want to make something like this in a world i have, but a conundrum im having is that i also want the machine to either stop eventually or move backwards once its inventory is full, though im unsure if thats possible
Hey notaclass, So the first thing that will need to happen is the Plough removing the rails would need to be removed, because you would want to send the machine back. That is a easy fix (However going to need a lot more rails because you are not recycling them anymore). As for the "Return" system. Not sure if there is a way to use the Inventory count block to detect when the chest is full and return the cart. Would have to somehow get it to turn 180degrees and head back. I might look into this myself as well. hope my thought here at least sent you somewhat in the right direction.
I made this design in 1.18.2 and for some reason it works fine for the first few layers of blocks but then it doesnt mine the blocks, leaves walls that the minecart cant pass and starts skipping every other rail placement. It seems the contraption is almost moving too fast for the deployers to keep up. (edit - I just tried the drill design in a different modpack and it works, it seems that the drill mines too fast in all of fabric 5 does anyone know how to slow them down)
Hey Hypnosisottis, SO you were using the machine in a ATM Modpack. interesting that they made the drills faster. I am not sure if there is a way to slow them down as they might have changed settings in the MOD Config files. What if you extend the back part (The Tail) of the machine. Instead of having the deployer so close to the front maybe push it back a bit (But still in front of the minecart) and maybe add a second deployer to place rails on the skipped blocks? Almost like a backup system? That could work I think Sorry for the late reply. IRL sometimes gets the best of a person. Please let me know if that works.
This has been my issue as well. My design places a wall of deepslate in front that (in theory) is then instantly mined, in order to clear out lava/water. Additionally it places a ceiling to prevent falling liquids, and drills out a 1 block trench on the edges to catch any liquids from the side. However it only gets about 3 blocks into a wall and then "bounces back" almost. I've tried adjusting the drill heads more forward of the minecart and checked it for extra glue, no luck. Really frustrating.
How did you move the entire contraption all at once? Does right clicking a minecart attached to it pick the whole thing up?
Hey NotLordAsshat, Yes when its all glued together and the contraption is powered, then you can pick up and move the contraption using the wrench - 08:25
Cool!
Now this is something I'll have to consider for an attack on a friend's base around 10,000 blocks away. Just need the X or Y coordinate now...
Building a full scale battle Machine! Looking forward to hearing how your adventure went.
What if you add a deployer with torches or any other light source blocks so you don't have to run along for light.
I do believe Tango built a machine that could place torches, I will have to go see how he did it, because that is a option as well!
thank god for this video
Well I am just happy this video still helps people! Happy mining!
My harvester won't pick up the tracks for some reason, it goes with the contraption but refuses to do the cleanup. Edit: Realized I used a harvester instead of a plow
I was ready to jump on and trouble shoot, just happy you managed to find the problem.
How does this machine get power? Also how do the rails and cobble go to the deployers with no direct input line? I’m just trying to better understand the create mod and how it works. I am going to try and make this thing tonight. thanks!
Hey Beakboy, Hope you got the machine build and and that it works for you. So to answer your questions. Because you make use of a Mine cart Contraption all inventories are linked. So even when its in another barrel it should make its way there. As for power. Once you put coal into the furnace mine cart. Thats what powers it. Let me know if you have more question.
Im currently on ATM 9 and all the steps ive done are correct but the final step of putting coal into the furnace in a minecart wont add the coal into it?
Hey Inhumanefool, want to do a ATM9 playthrough myself soon, hope it’s going well! That’s weird. Because Furnace Minecart usually activate on right click. Wonder if ATM9 changes some Furnace Minecart mechanics? Will have to look into it.
do minecart contraptions break in lava now? i know they used to be immune but it seems like they removed that. how would you make one thats immune?
Hey Polarvortecks, So in my current 1.20 game they seem to still be immune to Lava flowing. I did a test just a week ago while I was gathering Ancient Debris. So I would say you are good to go, unless they patched it out.
Quick question? Why not use a little clock and a deployer to place torches?
I did not think of that. This might be something I look into. Thank you. As for how I am currently doing it. So the one on the Create SMP is pretty big. But it still misses ores in the floor and roof. So I mine those manually and while I do that I just place torches. 😂 But agree. Not the best use of my time.
Great design! Any idea on how to flip the orientation of the contraption? I made my drill facing East but when I pick up the contraption and try to set it another direction (west), It always gets placed facing East instead.
Hey Tbar, SO this is something that never seemed to be a problem for me, but on my latest Create series I got the same problem going. Have to maybe sit down and read up a bit and get back to you on this one. As it is currently a mystery for me too.
@@Deosil25 No worries! I've just been using a mechanical bearing with a hand crank to rotate it for now!
try to flip the cart assembly before powering it
i'm trying to set it up with a sequence gearshift to delay torch placements at the very back but i can't see to really get it. what do you think?
I have not tried this method yet. That could be something that works. Cause I still just run around like a mad man placing them manually myself XD I will see if I can look into that, as that should be able to work.
@@Deosil25 I'll come back to you if I find out! Much love brother
Hey, I have a question. How did you do that with the glue? Every time I do that, it does like a speck of glue. Great tutorial though!
mkCool I think its got to do with the Version of Create you are playing on. I started playing in 1.18 (Same as the tutorial version) and its just always been that way... What version are you on? Maybe that is the reason for single Stick.
@@Deosil25 I am on 1.18.1 I think.
I've seen a few designs with redstone blocks but honestly if I want to mine for shorter sessions this technique with the Furnace Minecart might be the move
The Redstone blocks are nice and all, but I tend to run along side the contraption and mine the extra exposed ores. So for me this has been the one that works for my situation - Plus Redstone is better used in other components. I like these contraptions as they are really versatile enough for players to adapt them to their specific needs. Glad this could help you and happy mining!
@@Deosil25 Yeah that makes sense, a lot more control over how you want to mine and take the resources
@@Deosil25 sorry for stealing the comment a little but have you ever stumbled upon you being unable to ope the furnace?
@@deejudanne460 So as far as I understand, if the Contraption is in "Contraption Mod" by powering the Cart Assembler. Then you cannot open the inventory. you can right click it with the fuel source thou.
@@Deosil25 realized shortly after that blaze rods wouldnt work as fuel ^^' sorry for disturbing I'm just trying to learn how the mod works etc
how did you glued these "gantry" like glue to the contraption ? is that an early state of the mod ?
The Gantry? This machine uses Contraptions and not Gantries. Also this Video was made in the final release of the 1.18.2 Version of Create.
if i fill the cart with coal BLOCKS when the cart runs out will it pull the coal it mined or will it stop? I'd like to have something i can build, deploy, and come back to later. Does it work outside of chunk load?
@Unsavouryflint sadly all coal goes into the storage chest and not into the furnace itself. I am not sure if we can rig one of the chest to somehow refuel the Cart, coal blocks however do burn long and it will be able to go for a while. As for working in unloaded chunks, sadly no. You can make it AFK-able, but will have to modify the contraption a bit. You would just have to add a seating area for yourself and a way to keep lava and water out of your face. That way it can at least run while you are AFK. Hope this at least answers some questions.
this mod is amazing
Yeah the CreateMOD is one of my favorite mods so far. Can make so many interesting contraptions.
Hi Deo, i have an issue where the super glue does not let me use the UI where you drag a green box around my contraption. it places like slime balls place! Any advice? I'm on 1.18.2 thanks for the great tutorial!
Hello Sen6114, So I only started using Create MOD in 1.19, but if I remember correctly you have to glue al the parts together, one at a time. Thus glue, place block, glue, place block (Hope that makes sense). If I am not mistaken the new UI was introduced with the 1.19 Update. I found this Video that explains it a bit better and I am going to attempt to tag you in it.
ur prob using an older version of create pls update
Same problem, though not a clue what to do about it- is almost like its simply an unfinished aspect of the mod since (in my case, 1.18.2 as well) the UI is there, but it comes up with message 'not enough glue in inventory' whenever I go to place it.
Would be nice if covers lava and water in the way, but it's already pretty nice
Hello Im_Violet. So this miner can run through Lava and water without stopping. Thinking it would be easy to fit it to cover lava patches, but that will only work if run the machine one level above Lava lakes. Something interesting to look into.
Im stuck at the glue part, how did you select more than one block and glue them all together?
IDKWTD in what version of Create are you. This Video was recorded in Version 1.18 (and up) and thats the way Glue worked for me on default. Also note the glue needs to be in your main hand and not off-hand.
The same version as you, the glue was in my main hand but it didnt do like yours did
Do you have to use andesite casing as the building block? :)
Not at all... You can use another block as well. Happy Building!
What y-level do you recommend for mining diamonds with this machine?
We play with a Biome mod, O the Biomes, and I am not sure if generation works the same. But if its just vanilla generation I would mine just above lava lake level.
Thanks
You are welcome.
How do you put the rails as the filter for the deployer? Im playing on 1.20
Hey Artuuroo, I will have to boot up 1.20 and see what's changed, we are currently still playing on a older version. Will make a not and get back to you hopefully over the weekend.
@@Deosil25 wich version of create? mine was Create 0.5.1 running on 1.19.2 with Fabric Modloader(doesnt make any differences between forge/fabric here but i love details)
Do all the blocks have to be andesite casing? Or only the ones in the front?
You can use any blocks you want. I would just recommend a block thats different from the blocks you are planning on mining.
If you encounter any water caves immediately pick up the mine-cart contraption
Hey Hex, I just need to do some more testing, but I think the contraption should work in water caves, since the updates that allow for rails to be placed under water, but me running out of air is still the problem. So I am working on a machine that builds a tunnel while I mine, so should keep the water away. I hope.
I got it to work first try, placed it down in my mines and now it doesnt work. The thing powers on, but even with direction lock it goes sideways/diagonal, and the minecart just doesnt move even when powered. Its so extremely frustrating as I just spend the past few hours gathering resources (Andesite was super rare for whatever reason) just for it to not work
Hey wpsp2010, When you place it down in the mine. Maybe try power and unpower it just to see if that works? Just remember to lock rotation again when doing this. The one I have in my survival world did this once to me as well, but think it was because I placed it on a chunk border and that's how I fixed it in the end. Please let me know if it works.
@@Deosil25 I figured it out, my mine starts right at the chunk border, the exact spot I was trying to start it at. I got it to work and was even able to upgrade the drill space with the new materials. Thanks for your help.
is it required to make the structure out of andesite casing? its very expensive in the modpack I'm in
Not at all Jess. The last update I played it I was able to change some of those blocks out for other blocks.
@@Deosil25 ahh okay!! I'll expert with it
I love the tutorial! Everything was quick and easy to follow! But i'm having some issues, whenever i start my contraption it always places a block when it doesnt need to and this also happens when i'm just afk on the contraption any solutions?
Hey Mr_Mango, So just to make sure I understand. Does it place a block instead of a rail? or where does it place this block? I would just also recommend you make sure all the filters on the deployers are set correct. One in front will be blocks and the second one from the front rails. Then also make sure the deployers are at the correct height. The front one should be one block lower than the second one. Please let me know if this solves the problem.
why are the deployers not placing the rails? i put it on lock rotation and im sure that i placed them correctly and i even added 10 rails into the barrel, but it never places the rails
nvm, found out it was because of ftb chunks
Glad you found the problem, do you at least have a solution to fix the problem?
@@Deosil25 i dont know unfortunately, im not the owner of the team but they said that they changed an option in the ftb team that bugs out create deployers
So, it doesn't feed the rails it picks back up, back into the barrel that it takes it from? So if you wanted it to go a set number of blocks than stop, it would do so when the barrel runs out of rails? 🤔
Hey VisSovereign. So it will kust find the rails in any of the barrels and used them from there.
@@Deosil25 But not the chests?... Also, just call me Vis. I hate the way KZhead has changed the way they display names. -_-
@@SovereignVis I do believe all storage Vis. Even if it’s a Vault. I will have to do some testing myself. But as far as I know thats the mechanic.
if I add a ender chest and chunk loader, it can be mining forever, right?
Hey BrianLauHK, This is something I might just look into. Because that would be an amazing project and machine to build.
@@Deosil25 I have install enderchest mod. But I think create mod is not support with enderchest when the mining machine is activate. Since I have just try it once. And the ore just drop on the ground instead put it into the ender chest. I have also try to put a chest and a hopper to connect the chest and ender chest. But it is not work too.
I realy like this turorial... just I am using 1.19.2 version of create and if my drill goes it will stop after minit cus it dont have coal anymore, can I automaticly refuel it somehow? Thanks!
I will have to look into this as well. Because mine does the same. A other option could be to use normal carts, with powered rails and just some redstone blocks with it.

I have a question, what happened if there's lava in front of your machine? If I wrote something wrong sorry, im from Spain and honestly, im not good on English
Hey Derto! No your question is 100% correct. No need to be sorry. So in the release of 1.18 things changed a bit and thus the minecart will just continue moving through Lava and water without getting destroyed. You however will still burn in the lava or drown, so I would not recommend AFKing while using this machine. Hope that answers the question.
How are the drills getting powered?
In Create Mod. If they are attached to a contraption they are automatically powered.
Hey, love the tutorial. Although, I got a question, is there a way to make it run and not slow down without using coal and/or pushing it?
The easiest way will be to use a normal Minecart and then Use powered rails along with a second deployer placing a Power block. For a power block I would recommend rather redstone blocks and not torches as the torches will get washed away. The you could just add a "Pick-up" system like the plough, but because your using Redstone blocks, then you will use a Drill. Hope that makes sense, and I hope it helps.
@@Deosil25 Thank you so much, I needed that.
@@Capyblix Only a pleasure!
great tutorial. I built similar but a single line of drills 1 wide and 3 tall for shaft mining. built a different one to mine out main shaft 3 tall and 4 wide, manual dig out 50 or so blocks in 2 directions (say, front and back, so 100 blocks from 1 end of main tunnel to other end. works good. but now built my 2nd mining contraption, to mine channels (side tunnels 1 wide and 3 tall). the build I did based off of your design, works with 1 minor drawback, I cant get infront of drill or beside it to place cart assembler infront of minecart to stop it, (was testing above ground, had to wait until it cleared the tunnel where open space on either side, then was able to catch up with it and stop it..
trying to see if there is a way to stop it after say 50 or 100 blocks of drilling. also considering just building a bigger one (3x3 or 3tallx5wide or bigger wide, say 7) and just kinda mine the whole area this way, a 100x100 grid. mining for diamonds at lower levels.
Hey DaddyElfMan, So not sure if this might help and if you know this, but if you want to stop the machine. The easiest way I found is just to right click it with your Create Wrench. This way you pick it up (Inventory and all) and you can just take it home or move it. Thus eliminating the need to stop it with a Cart Assembler. Also I love the Mining machine, as the tunnel possibilities are endless. My biggest one was three chunks wide and 12 blocks high and it destroyed the world!
How did u get the pos1 and 2 in ur super glue
What version of Create are you using? I am using V1.18.2 - Fabric. So all I do is right click pos1 and then right click pos2.
what is a stay of sort like an unmoveable?
Hey BrayBray, Are you referring to a specific thing I said in the video? If so could you link the time for me then I can better answer you. Thanks
This is how the Mega Miner on the Create SMP Started out. So now you can build one on your own CreateMOD World. Also do Like and Subscribe, as it really helps me out a lot.
THANK YOUUUUUUU
Ladyreign606, I take it from your comment that this video helped a lot!! If you have any questions let me know and I help where I can.
@@Deosil25 this was incredibly helpful, id spent hours trying to make this shit work before i found your video. I will def be returning as I explore the mod more, lol
@@Ladyreign606 Well I am glad it helped. Working on the next tutorial now. Leave a comment if you need anything and I will assist where possible.
@@Deosil25 you know what, I've been messing around in my hard-core world and i do have a question. How could I make this drill work in the nether without dying to lava? I thought about putting the deployers around on every side, but that felt lazy and inefficient. Any thoughts?
Hey bro! I have small problem. I made this machine, and it works PERFECTLY, but I used it in the nether. And some random gravel fall inside my machine and it broke cart with furnance and whole machine flies without it and I cannot interact with it in any way. Is there a way to actually turn this machine into normal state again? Such a weird case...
Never mind, this machines works without textures 💀. Idk how is this possible, bruh
Morning Harikuu, So if I read this correctly, then the machine is still working, the Minecart just basically lost its texture? On a side note. If you want to stop the contraption and turn it back into its original Block state. Then just put a Cart Assembler on the track in front of the Minecart. Hope this helps.
What happens if the contraption get to a pocket lava an lava starts running to the front or pouring inside the tunnel? The same about water, what would happen?
Hey pandorus, so it will just continue moving forward. Well thats what it did in 1.18.2 in which this contraption was build. In 1.18.2 they made it possible for minecarts to run under water, and thus water did nothing. I also used this machine to mine in the nether and it went through pockets. I will however have to test it in 1.20.1 Version of the mod.
@@Deosil25 thanks man, I'm playing the mod right now, will give it a try through lava here on 1.20 to see what happens. Also, do you use some optimization mod like OptiFine? I'm using It but it lags so much with the flywheel render from create...
@@thepandorus I am not sure what mods I all used for the 1.18.2 version when I played that, but for the 1.20.1 Version I use a pack by Beardstone. Might be worth while checking and seeing which mods he is using. (Link is in one of my new Create Videos)
Amazing build, I wish there was a way that it can be done without the ENTIRE RIG moving but that's just me......
Hey Dragonicstarblade! Really glad you like the Video/Build. It works pretty nice, but there are some flaw to the machine. Like the placement of torches and not being able to automate it 100%. I really want to revisit this build in the near future. See if I can figure something out.
How do you do the multi grab thing with the super glue?
Danny I think its got to do with the Version of Create you are playing on. I started playing in 1.18 (Same as the tutorial version) and its just always been that way... What version are you on? Maybe that is the reason for single Stick.
Awe man, love finding other south africans online!
Hey Jason! The South African viewers have been popping up more and more over the past few months and I enjoy seeing our local community in the comments! Lekker to be part of something like this. Hope you enjoyed the Create Drill Tutorial and should check out the Create Lets Play I am doing. Learning a lot there myself. Appreciate you being here.
Small question how do you get the items to go into the chests
Hey Wubba, so when you build the machine and you Glue it all together, it is seen as a Contraption. Thus any materials it will mine will automatically make its way into the chest. So there will be no need for building a Transporting part on the machine. Hope that makes sense. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask so I can help where I can.
@@Deosil25 oh right i figured it out in the end. I was just slightly confused because my plow wasnt putting stuff back into the chest and such at the start but i figured it out in the end. Thanks for the cool machine
@@wubba3019 glad you figured it out. Hope the machine helps with getting a lot of resources! Happy Mining!
I'm so dumb, I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to power the drills! I didn’t realize they would start digging on their own through motion
Xyro, I am so sorry. I should have just said that in the video. I hope the machine made up for that wasted 1hour and that you gained a TON of resources! I appreciate your comment.
for some reason when i stop it with the assembler it turns around even if i select lock rotation. Any fix?
Hey @alexsosa6588 I have only encountered this problem once before. It seems it reverts back to the direction it was built in. So lets say if you made it with the Drills facing North and you dig in Southern Direction, then it will face back North when stopped. Same with the East/West directions. Thus I do not think its a bug, but rather the way things were coded. I have however made a note of this and will see if I can figure something out tonight.
does it mine diamonds? cuz i went in a straight line on -y21 for like 30 mins and found 0 diamonds
It does mine Diamonds, I sometimes mine for 100 Blocks and get a few, other times I get a lot more. My current contraption is 48Blocks Wide and 8 High and that brings in a good amount, but also I let it run pretty far.
i did a very similar machine but i added deployers with stone so it clears lava and water in front of it , but when i try to make it go and mine it allways keeps rotating left for some reason
Hey Justrad, clearing the lava water helps if you want to AFK on the machine. If not, then it will still work and go through lava and water if you are on version 1.18 and up. So keeps rotating. Did you make sure that you locked rotation on your cart assembler? Thats been the big thing I constantly forget to do. Let me know if that helps. Also will be doing a updated build real soon.
@@Deosil25 yes i did , i tried rotating and also another time locking to movement direction or smt like that , both didnt work, still turns left for no reason
@@justrad7637 that is very strange. Going to see if I can find something on this problem. What version of Create are you running? And also Fabric or Forge?
@@Deosil25 forge , create 0.5.0.i mc 1.18.2 ofc , forge ver 40.2.10
ok uhh i cant figure out how to put the filters on the deployers, the filter is on the side of it and i click it with the item but nothing happens edit: turns out i had to spam click it like 20 or 30 times, i do not know why but eh edit 2: 6:02 when i hold the wrench it says to hold and click to edit but all that happens is the cart assembler getting destroyed
Hey Nooben, From what I can make out. You are currently playing in the latest Create update (Minecraft 1.20+) which means a few things have changed. So these are a few things I noticed myself since I started playing in 1.20 that might relate to your frustration. 1. The filter needs to be applied before turning it into a contraption. I am not sure if this is intended or still a bug (Hopefully its a bug). 2. Try Doing the Clicking thing without a wrench. It should open up a new slider menu. Another neat feature from 1.20 (But a feature I still struggle to get use to myself). I want to make a new updated video soon that will talk about the changes and how to make it work. So just keep an eye out for that.
yeah i figured it out after like 10min, also i did try and do the filter before it was a contraption, thanks for the reply though! great video! i subscribed and liked the video.@@Deosil25
I'm having troubles getting my auto miner to work.. It starts but then it goes to the left or smth and it doesn't mine
Hey Trentyboi, did you make sure to LOCK rotation on the cart assembler before turning it i to a contraption? Just make sure of that part. I do show how to do this in the video.
how did you mass select blocks with the super glue?
Superglue in the last two big versions you could just right click on the first and then on the last block. And it bulk glues.
It will break if a stream of water or lava wash away the rails. There are improved versions of this mechanism, with protection against this
Hey MrNovenkij, So this server and Build is for Minecraft 1.18.2 and this machine has been Lava and Water tested and it works 100% and does not flush away. So no worries in regards to that happening at all.
@@Deosil25 water can no longer destroy away rails in new versions of minecraft?
@@MrNovenkij Rails are save from water and lava I think from version 1.18. SO this machine should be future-proof. Granted it could be improved if Create brings out some new additions in the newer updates.
@@Deosil25 but I have an interesting case. It breaks if it cannot place a rail, for example, on a seaweed. In my (mods) case, the seaweed was in lava and even the lava-proof version broke. To protect against this, need to add a drill to the level below, where the stone and rails will then be placed.
@@MrNovenkij Yes that would break it. Even if there is Lichen on the block, but that will majority of the time only happen if you start it out in the ocean. My drill from the SMP has harvested so much ore and the one time it did break was due to me not putting in the right block to build bridges with. I guess there is always the odd chance, makes it fun and might even visit the idea of building a Second version in the New Create Update.
I'm new to the create mod, does anyone know how to modify the machine after you've already made it, glued it together and etc?
You can just put a Cart Assembler on the track its standing on and it will be converted back to Blocks. Now you can edit and change it, then after you are done power the assembler again and it should be a contraption with the new additions you added. NOTE: Remember to set the Cart Assembler again to DO NOT ROTATE/LOCK ROTATION. As it loses this setting once unpowered.
I've built the design and in previous versions it worked, now for whatever reason the deployer filters don't work, it keeps filling up with items from mining and doesn't place anything. The weirder thing is when I turn the machine off, the filters work all of a sudden. They only don't work when it's on.
Hey FlyingSquid, so someone ells had the exact same problem in version (1.20) and they just turned it on and off a few times and the problem resolved itself. Not sure what it is (Some form of bug) but in my 1.20 world it worked perfectly again. So its pretty random. Will see if I can find something on the matter.
Can I Use Any block Instead of The Casing?
You sure can... Just as long as its all glued together.
Maybe there is a way to make it place some lights too .
Hey Noscopemonkey, so Tango I believe did figure something out in regards to torch placing. So I will see if I can go check it out. Because placing the torches are a downside. Well I do not mind as I mine the ores it misses. But it would be better. Thank you for the comment.
@@Deosil25 thanks! Maybe I will mine the ores that it misses too Finding away to make it a little bit faster might be a thing I want to look into
Nice video ! How can I delete glue if I put too much, please ?
Hey Thomasguibs, so I think its just the opposite click. So left click while holding glue.
