Today I was waiting for my flight at the Airport of Rome so I decided to play on the beautiful piano.
But I didn't expect that a young Cellist in a wheelchair would join me and create this.
Valentina Irlando is a 17 year old girl with a rare muscle disease. But it didn't stop her from becoming a very talented cellist and pianist!
Let this be the Inspiration for anyone who is struggling in life and hesitating to play an instrument ❤️🎹

I have so much respect for all 3 of you, for different reasons. Valentina, for overcoming all of her obstacles in life and not letting them define her. The cello teacher for giving Valentina the power to express herself in a way that she otherwise wouldn't be able to. And you, for keeping an open, non-judgmental mind and accepting Valentina's offer to play with you, and giving her the memory of a lifetime. This video is extremely wholesome and uplifting. Keep in mind how truly special you are to others when you sing. I truly hate the term disabled. The prefix dis means not. So, if you are disabled it means not able. What a contradiction! In my opinion disabled is an old term. I have read many times the words learning able. I may have no skills at all in math, but learning abled means I still can learn with desire and determination.
No one cares that you have a condition. Why did you have to point that out?

I’m a mom of three adult disabled children with Muscular Dystrophy and this girl looks to suffer from a form called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Muscular Dystrophy. It is amazing how well she is able to play, considering her breathing limitations and her muscle weakness! Amazing! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

She is fantastic. I got very happy to hear her playng the cello. As I said to my music schoolmates there's no barriers for those who want to learn something and specially music, which delas with our mind and feelings. Brava, Valentina!❤❤❤❤ I've always loved music and wanted to play an instrument but never did. Now that I am 63 and my children are grown I am giving myself the opportunity to learn music and instruments! I am very happy. 😅😂❤

She has what my dad had and brings it all back to me how much he suffered . Then lancaster infirmary took his life and abused him . All the neglect he suffered in there is unbelievable then they give him an injection that changed everything which caused my dads death. We have a disc of them at a meeting we had with them and the lies that came out of there mouths was unbelievable to say the least. Then saying they was not there on that day when there is evidance to say they was. But you can just see the pain in the little girls face and how she was keeping it together. Just takes me back of seeing my dad just like this. 😢😢😢
