  • Agree with the expanded video review. However, after Armia's recent penalty I concluded that the officials had misinterpreted the rule as it is written. That brings me to the main point of my comment-- the rule is poorly articulated (I looked it up after the Armia penalty). It needs to be redone. Everyone focuses on "players must be in control of their stick" and overlook the meaning of the word "carry" within the context of the rule. One must take care to interpret the rule and infer its intent from the entirety of the text, not just one phrase. Re-writing the rule might not result in a text that is immediately comprehensible upon first glance, but that shouldn't be the goal. The goal should be a text that is complete and unambiguous after a careful reading.

  • Why don't shootout goals count in the player stats? They do for 3 on 3, which is a bit easier to score than 5 on 5. It's sad that a scoring play does not count for a player. Does goals scored on a goalie not count in shootouts....

  • Hard to believe there was no penalty for a goalie dislodging a net?

  • I'm not a fan of overtime or shootouts. Instead, I believe a penalized player should serve their full penalty duration, irrespective of how many goals are scored against their team while they're short-handed.
