  • Since we have been watching your shows for at least 5 years we decided to take a trip to Thailand. We were there for 6 weeks and I cooked in our little hotel room. The market was just downstairs from the hotel and I was making soups and stir frys, The sellers quickly realised what I was trying to do and made up packages of spices and vegetables for me. When we got home to AUstralia I couldnt stop thinking about our trip and the beautiful people. My husband had learnt to count in Thai and I learnt a few words. I started looking online for rentals in Chiang Mai. Then I came up with the idea to move to Thailand. It took over a year to organise it. We have lived here now for 6 months and everyday I feel blessed and am so happy. I love the markets , the people , I am learning the language and even my Lazada driver teaches me words. Thank You Marion so much you changed our lives. I cook everything from your channel. I am very happy for you and your family that you are so successful. You deserve it all. We love you and mama Noi. bless you. Ka

  • I’m so excited for you! What I absolutely love about your whole creative process is that you have brought family into it. The kids, your sweet Mom and husband. I would also bet that the teams you have around you are also treated like family. You deserve every success you have coming your way. Years of hard dedicated work and now you can call the shots how you want. Thank you for being a very nice role model for women. You keep family at your side and include them. As you get bigger and more famous world wide, you haven’t become a private part. Well done Marion! You have kept what works for you by staying true to you. You give your parents a big high five for not raising a dough head.

  • yes, to longer videos! your channel, along with Pailin's Kitchen and Maangchi, are my favorite 'Asian Culinary Translation' channels. not only do you explain how to make a dish, you also take time to teach people who are new to those ingredients, or combinations of flavors, or even just how to serve and eat the finished dish. my family is originally from the Caribbean, so i remain in awe of how many of the same ingredients are used in our two cuisines, but in such drastically different ways. your mom reminds me of both my grandmothers, with the 'nothing wasted' approach to cooking.

    • I also watch Maangchi and Pailin regularly, along with Marion. And an Indian guy dont get his name now, starts with R..... wait: Ranveer. They all have the same approach to cooking and eating that i so much appreciate and love. It's all about culture, traditions, happiness, sensorial experience, family, social, respect, no rush, enjoyment.

  • I’m really happy to hear that. Don’t be suckered into all these social media algorithm. I find myself giving lesser and lesser appreciation for those reels and shorts. But in reality, those take just as much effort. And I don’t think that gives justice to the people who are involved in putting out content. To your point of sharing more of your life and experience, the idea of “from farm to table” is really what I want to see. Not polished videos. Not pretty staging or perfect kitchen. How meals are planned. How to take advantage of seasonal produce. Ingredients substitution - one recipe, several twists “same same but different”. I can’t wait to see that pivot! Thank you, Marion!!

  • This lady is truly amazing. I have so much love for Marion and her cooking skills, but homegirl is literally a flippin' unit. She is doing A LOT more than cooking, she is a businesswoman and holy moly such an amazing one. She stays true to her herself and longer content is fantastic. You can chill and watch it, put it in the background or put it on when you sleep. Much love to everyone on her teams too. This can only be achieved by the right people on your side.

  • Can I just say that the thing that drew me to your channel on my first viewing was your open, friendly, down-to-earth manner and how much I felt at home watching your show. I immediately subscribed. I adore your cooking and OMG, that smile!!! Even though you are a busy, successful business woman, creator, wife and mom, you made an old woman from the mountains of Western North Carolina feel like she's just popped in for a coffee and chat. And you do this every.single.time. Well, done you. Role model for us all. Much love to you, your family and your whole team. 💕

  • I started cooking asian food from scratch during COVID lockdown because of your videos, Marion! I watched so many of your videos to pass the time that I finally got brave enough to mask up and head to the local asian grocery store with my list I dutifully wrote down ("things Marian says I need but I don't have...palm sugar, dark soy, lemongrass, Shiaoxing wine, galangal, etc...") I also started growing Thai basil in my herb garden and using cilantro root since I grow it for Mexican cooking! It started off tame but before I knew it I was putting hot peppers in my stir fry's! And it WAS your longer-form videos that helped me understand the techniques necessary to successfully make asian dishes I also don't love the short ones, though they do get attention. Now I rely on your recipes above all others. THANK YOU for everything you do. I miss your meal kits, though, since we can no longer get them in the U.S. They were a serious "go to" for me. I actually loved bringing them on vacations where I would be cooking because they made "travel dinners" easy. Maybe there is a way to partner with independent grocery stores in the U.S.? I am not sure how all of that works, but I know we still have small, independent grocery stores that sell specialty products over here. I would think there would be a way to tap into that distribution chain. I hope so! Again, THANK YOU.

As a long time viewer of yours, what draws me in to your content is your humour and personality that shines through when you are teaching us how to make your recipes. I did notice last year your slight pivot to more quick cut, short form content that made your videos feel like every other TikTok food creator out there. • I found you just before COVID and during what felt like interminable lockdowns and crises you kept me interested and motivated. Now that the pandemic is over, here in Chiang Mai we are beset by months on end of pollution that no one is doing anything to clear, so we have to stay indoors with air purifiers and medication. Which means we are in another kind of lockdown, but your smile, your joy and the deliciousness that you bring means so much. Whatever you do I will be watching. Thank you so very much.

Your videos were so helpful to me during the pandemic, and a tough period of my life and really got me back into enjoying cooking. I've been enjoying learning new dishes, many of which are now regulars at my table (I cook your 15 minute pork and sesame udon almost every week - it's a godsend on a busy week lol). I've been a fan of Asian food for years. This channel has really opened my eyes to new, exciting stuff. So, yes to long form content! I'm nosey, I want to see what's happening behind the scenes and I want to learn MORE about the ingredients, the process and the history of what we're going to cook. I loved your fried chicken test kitchen - take us on the journey with you! I love your quick recipes (and make it Wednesday!) from a practical perspective, but do what inspires you. • totally excited with you! I'm amazed, but not surprised, at the idealism that accompanies your food creation and how it has to expand in different directions for you. It's a joy to watch you, your sincerity and good nature along with your amazing talent. You have opened the door wide for Asian fusion recipes for me personally. Actually so fascinating :) Thank you!

  • So excited to see you back with longer content. I really love your approach to food in that recipes can be adapted to local produce. I also enjoy when things "go wrong" and how to fix it! Others try to always be perfect so we don't see what went wrong. There is no such thing as perfection, but to me you, your family and team come close! Thank you so much you being you!

  • Thank you for sharing your personal journey and I’m excited to come along for the ride! I wish we could take advantage of your food products in CA but alas, I think we’ll have to travel to Queensland to bring home such goodies. I wish you the very best in all your endeavors - you deserve all the success, recognition and love from your followers and viewers. I enjoy the shorts and love the longer content. Food is a wonderful way to truly learn about other cultures so I thank you very much for teaching me how to become a better cook. Love to you and your precious family. ❤

  • I always adored your content and I was one of the lucky few in the beginning to be part of your small community. Got to interact with you heaps in the comments and others via how much we enjoyed cooking. Always loved that you explored so many SEA cuisines (and Asian cuisine in general) with such respect to the source, but also twisting it for the everyday home cook. As a humble fan, I'm so proud to be part of your journey with others here. Here's to more creating! Cheers! - Alvin

  • I cannot wait for long form content! I'm also very partial to short videos for quick inspiration, but that's not how I learnt to cook. I learnt from creators like you who do longer, in-depth videos where they don't just show what they're doing, but explain why. That's how you actually grow an understanding and a love for food! It makes me want to be creative with cooking because I understand the reasoning behind different techniques, why flavour combinations work, and how to make food from the ground up with respect for the ingredients and the cultures you borrow from. Love your work and your food Marion! And big love to the team for the incredible stuff you're producing for all of us! It doesn't go unnoticed x
