I'm all for safe and free of injuries as well, but I don't think a brace is the key though, we need better understanding of how to train ankles, the tendons, and other small muscles of the foot. The foot still has a lot to be discovered still in regard to balance, posture, etc.

    • The thing is though robots will never be on the same level as humans are in todays society. The reason being is that humans and living things have the unique ability of perception of non exsisten and exsitent objects. Take for example picking up a bowl. How much information goes on inside the extensive pores of the human brain? How many line of code do you thonk it would take for a robot to even realize on which plane of exsitence the bowl is on? Billions? Trillions? Much more than that. A computer CANT think. Sure we have artificial intelligence and learning AI. But humans still have to code and trouble shoot and update those inferior computer parts. Computers just dont have the raw instinct or intellect to ever take over.

    • this has already happened in chess. Although not a traditional sport like basketball/football chess is also a highly competitive sport with a wide variety of playing styles and approximately a decade ago machines caught up to humans. Today the average chess app on your phone can outplay Magnus Carlsen the best chess player in the world. People thought it'll make the game boring and obsolete but as it turns out watching engines play each other has a different kind of feeling and is quite enjoyable in its own ways. AI and neural networks have definitely influenced the game to a very large extent in chess but I highly doubt that will be the case for basketball. Most likely there will be separate tournaments/leagues for humans and machines and the game we now enjoy will continue to exist without much change "For every door the computers have closed, they have opened a new one" - former world chess champion Vishwanathan Anand

Not only does its play style look boring, but it takes away from all of the emotion in the game. If this thing is shooting from anywhere with 100% accuracy then it takes away from the crazy moments of will it go in, or will it not. With that thing you already know the outcome, and thats that it absolutely will go in even if its shooting from 50 feet out. It takes away from the great emotion and great human players who will give anything for a chance of winning it all.
