Who Dares Wins - Full (Final) Episode - Series 4, Episode 6 First Broadcast Wednesday 25th May 1988

"Time Please!" - The final ever episode of 'Who Dares Wins' and everything must go. The episode starts with my unofficial self tape for The Crown - amazed I never heard anything back. I have to wait for an unexpected round on the Major Ferguson reference, I can't even remember what he did now! There's an homage to 'Allo 'Allo but with a heavy dose of realism and a glimpse at the swiftly decommissioned 'Begorrah I've Blown My Leg Off'. I eat a very realistic live frog - such a great prop. I say the word 'balls' before the foul language threshold which opens a whole can of worms and I've only just spotted this but I think the child who plays Zoe in the Parent Power sketch is the same girl who was in the Politician Denying Multiple Affairs sketch in episode 7 of this series. She was great! I give advice on how to be a female popstar with an emphasis on the navel (apologies to Annie Lennox here) and get a chance to plug my new cover version of the Julie Andrews classic 'My Favourite Things', with some very 'personalised' lyrics. I get a chance to showcase my hang gliding and skiing skills in Stella - A Woman of Today - pity poor Davy. And finally we bow out with a paen Britain and the British where I get to channel my inner Dame Vera Lynn and celebrate all that is Great about the Britain we live in (it's a short song). Amazing how little has changed in 36 years!
We toured the country in a live show twice after this, which was an amazing experience and the closest I think I'll ever get to feeling like a rock star. The reaction from sold out venues was amazing and the love and affection for all the old favourites as well as Terry and Wang Wang was delightful. Thanks for watching all these videos. I'm now going to post some outstanding classic sketches and the unrepeatable WDW episodes that I have on tape followed by the first episode ever. I hope you enjoy them.
