Sound therapy is one of the most important tools to utilize during the tinnitus habituation process. Silk is a powerful sound therapy for tinnitus relief. This masking sound is a collaboration with @dalesnale , and is perfect to listen to throughout the day, or to help you fall asleep at night.
Upon further review, specific comments in the intro to the video are incorrect, and we would like to offer the subsequent information to dispel any confusion:
1) The typical tinnitus frequency ranges from 6-8kHz and may sometimes exceed it.
2) Although Silk has fluctuations in the 12-14kHz range, many individuals with tinnitus have hearing loss above 8kHz and will not hear them.

You have to find the frequency of your tinnitus (there are several websites for this) and then find a sound or video on youtube with that same frequency (mine is 16.000 hz). It is helpfull all day, but it is REALLY HELPFULL when you have to sleep.

      @sebastianandres9385@sebastianandres9385 Жыл бұрын
    • Yes, the semi-nightly crashes. I used to think of those days as good times. Sleep. Can't remember what that's like anymore. The hardest part of tinnitus is the lack of motivation, a combination of exhaustion and questioning existence answered with 'why bother?" Found myself ground down to a stub of what I once was physically. The funny thing is, spirituality had just found me, and silence was my mantra, my anchor. Left with only one thought now that I see floating by occasionally, how I have no fear. More precisely, I do not care. Time is all that matters, how much time I have left in this prison, this torturous experience, since asking 'why me' is not only futile but spirituality brittle only capable of spiraling me into depressive gluttony. This here, what you're reading, is my good times, now. And this terrifies me. god speed

  • So far this is the BEST Tinnitus flush sound I've heard. AND LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING for anyone who is afraid of severe Tinnitus!......... I am one of those who has is SEVERE SEVERE SEVERE.... I have to LIVE every day walking around with blu tooth and white noise playing!!!! I have definitely thought of leaving earth several times. I am NOT going to do that!!! I don't WANT TO. It scares me and I just have to do EVERYTHING I can to get through this. But I am. I'm annoyed as heck but just have to make sure when ANYWHERE silent especially my bedroom or car when it's shut off..... to QUICKLY get the headphones on and in my ears and the noise flush.. So hear me out (no pun)..... this is NOT easy and NOT comparable with other issues with our bodies.... this is a hell in itself. But just get outside more and even sleep outside if you can... and ALWAYS keep your headset with you and even a second one and phone battery back up charger. (For worse cases like me) Also.... yes there are Tinnitis support groups and if not then create one in your area!!! People will show up trust me!!! And they HELP!

  • It's crucial to get the mixing point just right. You don't want to mask entirely your tinnitus. If you do so, there's a rebound effect the moment you stop the sound therapy, and the tinnitus can get louder afterward. That's not the aim. Listen to the sound louder enough to still hear your tinnitus above. Then, the tinnitus gets less and less bothersome (it starts to happen to me about 30-45 min after, results may vary for you). You can still hear it (same pitch, same volume), but it doesn't feel that intrusive. I hope this can help.

  • I used to use this sound every night, still do but only occasionally. I’ve had my tinnitus for almost a year now in both ears. I felt like my life was over… but I promise you it does get better and you do stop hearing it unless you think about it. I’m now so habituated to it I don’t ever need to play sounds when I sleep. Yes trying to always have a background noise does help but the thing is if you’re always thinking about fixing yourself up some background noise then you’re always going to be thinking about your tinnitus. The main thing that kicked off my habituation was one night I forced myself to sleep with it. After that it just got easier.

Do these two things 100% with no cheating along with sound therapy. I promise your tinnitus will reduce over time. Give it 90 days and you will have your life back. Appsollutly no sugar, alcohol, nicotine, fake sugars, anything processed and wheat. Drink lots of purified water and get as much exercise as possible. Listen to sound generators and stay mentally positive. Watch funny movies and laugh a lot. Get your blood checked for inflammation. If its high you can reduce your tinnitus by following these steps you have control of. Best of luck and keep trying!! Never give up!!❤

The others that were comforting sounded to me like impact sprinklers or crickets. I've been toying with ashwagandha, serrapeptase and nattokinase for other reasons, and some of those may be minimizing the level of my tinnitus. On most days I don't seem to notice it at all. It happened when i was in a burn-out, so i had a lot of rest. now i try to sleep ten hours a day and keep my stress managable. I also figured out that alcohol, nicotine, weed/hash and caffeine make it louder. weed can make it permenantly louder. so i quit all of those and that helped a lot in the beginning. I think i'm lucky to have it fade this much, but maybe you are too! Have hope and be strong!

  • Thank you Dr. Ben. I was able to sleep last night. The night before last one I could not sleep at all and had work in the morning. Stayed up the entire night cried out of helplessness because my tinnitus was so loud that it beat the sound of water flowing that I play in the background too. I felt like my brain was on fire and I cried alot. Last night however I did some painting before sleeping to put my mind into something else and basically meditate to some ASMR rain sound. Then when going to bed, I was looking for videos for sleep sound therapy on your channel and I came across this video and just played this close to my left ear as that’s the one that’s very severe these days because I have an active throat infection going on too coupled with cold and flu.. anyway I don’t even know when I passed out but I woke up with no tinnitus. I’ve concluded that my tinnitus is like my anxiety..it only comes back badly when I think about it when I’m not thinking about it, I don’t seem to notice it or get bothered by it.

  • I like it, but I think the pattern being constant doesn't not trick the ear to focus is deep tuning and the autonomic ear response, I do have 30 lose in left ear, so perhaps this a factor. Your crickets change pitch and so the ear focus is triggered to tune into it as apposed to tune out the steady stream to background noise. Cricket sounds while playing a video game gave me first notice to the relief I never even knew about. This is amazing research.

Obviously I don't expect such to work in every case nor for full sufferers of it but it certainly works in my slight but regular case of it :) best wishes.

  • Holy Hannah. I’ve tried everything sensible and maybe a few things not so sensible. I’m 53, had tinnitus all my life. It’s loud, always on, always up. This noise - this is the first relief I’ve ever felt from it. All the tricks - nothing touches it. But this actually stinking works. Not sure what to do. Thanks for dropping 10 hours.
