The NEW Embraer E2 Will DESTROY The Entire Aviation Industry! Here's Why
For decades, Boeing and, more recently, Airbus have dominated the commercial aviation industry. However, there's a rising contender from Brazil, Embraer, poised to challenge their dominance. Embraer's E2 series of jetliners is gaining attention, potentially reshaping conversations about major players in the industry. But what sets the E2 series apart?

So proud of the Brazilian engineering! We invented the plane and we mastered it.
Sorry, but the Wright brothers invented airplanes, Santos Dumont was the first to follow a scheduled flight plan, that is why he is credited for making commercial flights possible, but Brazil did not invent the airplane.
@@efudoishido7480The Wright brothers used a catapult, while Santos Dumont's plane, a Brazilian, took off by its own means.
We didn't invent the plane. We'd like to believe that but still, the Americans did it a few years before. Stop the self denial. The wright brothers plane had a certain engine and their design is the one that was used as a foundation to continue developing the next planes to what it is today
@@ent.8979 I just commented on the fact that the Wright brothers' plane used a catapult or something. Dumont's plane took off under its own power. I don't think there was an inventor. The technology was under development in several places around the world at that time. Now, whether or not this fact is enough to determine who invented the airplane is another question.

@@EyeSpySanDiego The CRJ is a great plane, albeit not the comfiest. But its short flights anyways.
Let's get down to business. Embraer is a small company compared to the giants Boeing and Airbus, supported by their governments. Despite the competition, it continues to manufacture state-of-the-art, technological and economical aircraft. We know that large companies offer much more than their products , they offer financing since many have governments that support operations, political influence and much more to make them buy their products, (even if they are not the best or most reliable), which is a small company cannot offer. But Embraer continues its path, selling its great products, climbing one step at a time.
I won't deny that Embraer receives some support from government, but Boeing and Airbus take that to another level. They bankroll on their respective governments.
Embraer is even more government supported to be fair.
@@benchoflemons398 Lie, they've received a small fraction of what Boeing has received over the years. They are just partially government owned and are expected to make money on their own, not dependent on government contracts.
Yes so much Government support ... To the point we have a new Boeing scandal every week, yet the US Gov. makes sure every country buys this Russian Roulette in form of plane 😂
@@benchoflemons39840% of Boeings revenue last year came from US government contracts lol
It's a very beautiful design! Aggregating many top notch technologies! I hope to fly in one of these some day!
Porter Airlines is using these for longer haul flights. Flew in an E-195 and really enjoyed it on a Vancouver to Toronto flight. Those Pratt Whitney engines are smooth as silk on take off.
Now Embraer need to design 200 passenger jets
Which won't fall apart in the skies like the competition. No Embraer has ever crashed from a failure in the plane.
It depends. EMBRAER have jets that have roomy interiors, and by that it means that they don't want to fight "mano a mano" against the big ones (Boeing and Airbus), because it's another type of "fight". But... BUT... Boeing is facing big troubles with the Max Series, and... Airbus doesn't have enough room to increase the production of its own jets to face the demand that isn't being feed by Max Series. When one of the "big ones" starts to show a weakness, and the other big one can't face the increase of demand, this creates a room for a third company... And now EMBRAER have to think if it's time to grow and face the challenge, or... else.
It'll take at least a decade of development. As it should.
@@_Bruno_Cesar_ Embraer didn't take that long to develop the E-Jets and they were an entirely new design. They are able to design a clean sheet design in 5 years or so and even there get it right.
Embraer would run a huge risk of not selling if it produces larger planes, as Boeing and Airbus dominate this airline. This could lead the company to bankruptcy.
Embraer is AMAZING.
efficiency gains are not just about the engines. The plane do have an entire new wing.
I'm happy you noticed that too :)
Exactly.
I'm very proud. I live a few minutes from Embraer here in Brazil, for me seeing that so many of my friends and family work there and knowing that the company is getting better and better is amazing. 🎉
When the Boeing - Embraer merger was blocked, I thought that would hurt in the long term Embraer. In hindsight... boy, was I wrong... Hard to imagine how hard Boeing has fallen.

Be proud Embraer, Brazil... Bombardier has a love/hate relationship in Canada. (I own stocks... Bought with my heart instead of brain)
As a Brazilian living in Canada, be proud! Bombardier is also cool af (even tho their TTC trains are kinda wack sometimes compared to the Hyundai ones found in Brasil)
Bombardier fell under hard times but their accomplishments are still well recognized globally even in Canada. They helped increase Canada's foothold in aviation, carrying on what De Havilland Canada (which is now back apparently) and Canadair among others were doing. Oh, and without Bombardier the Airbus A220 wouldn't exist, which is a new favorite in the industry for passengers and pilots and fully Bombardier-designed.
As an brazillian engineer and professor, I can say that Embraer is one of few things that can make the brazillian engineering proud of, they are incredible. In Brazil, the commercial flights are made by mostly Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and Embraer 195, the Embraer is by far the most comfortable to fly.
I'm Canadian and get bored of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. Good planes but so common that its just boring now. One of our airlines, Porter, invested in the E2 and already has 30 planes flying between larger cities, complementing Porter's Canadian-built De Havilland Canada (or Bombardier) Q400 fleet, which is an incredible workhorse as well. While the Q400 handles many flights from Toronto Island airport (incredible view on takeoff of the city), E195-E2 handles more and more Toronto Pearson flights to and from other Canadian cities, among others.
In Europe it really is as they say. Railways are very well connected and are getting faster, making many short-haul flights unnecessary. Flights, for example, from Berlin to Warsaw or Frankfurt make little sense. The train goes just as fast on this route and is much more comfortable and allows you to work, sleep or stretch your legs in peace. The price is also the same.
Wait The same price for a flight or a train? Seems somebody is getting a god profit here
@@r.guerreiro140 high speed trains are not that cheap to build and mantain bro
@@r.guerreiro140 I would say the train is a bit pricy. It depends on when you buy the tickets. The regular price on my trip was around 100euro by Train and 130euro by plain. But buing the same Ticket bevor Hand lets say between 1-2 weeks bevor the trip the Train cost was still 100 euros and i could finde plains that goes with only 80 euros. In this case flaying was even cheaper then trains. You can get the trains with special price too, but you have to book those tickets much earlier, around 4 weeks bevor, and that is not necessarily easy. Like i said the time was fairly even (with only 10-15 minutes diverence) and that is not worth the quality.
@@user-gc9ru8ro8f May I ask you How far is the journey?
Yeah, and it really depends on geography of the country or area. Europe is full of small countries, while a place like Canada or the US is big enough to almost fill Europe and is larger than the continent of Australia/Oceania. In Canada, a train from Halifax to Montreal takes almost a day with all the stops and nonlinear rail network, while a flight between the two cities takes maybe an hour and half. That distance would cover several European countries.
Embraer has a 2045 plan for this line, it's been years now. It's changing the aviation game and there's no way back

Embraer is a very good company and the E2 variants of the EJet line are very good aircraft. The 175 was cancelled because it is too heavy for the US regional market not for “undisclosed reasons”. I sincerely hope so.
One will see. Embraer through it has an excellent and well respected product, has been struggling. Other than suggested, and it is allways a gamble weither airlines prefer small jetliners or not. But in any case, it will definitly not "destroy the aviation industry", the biggest market is in the bigger bracket and moving to even bigger aircraft. And the E2 is not at all in the "middle of the market", it is firmly in the "smaller than (most) 737 and 320" bracket. Middle of the market would be bigger than 737 or A320 and longer range, such as certain versions of the A321 or the 757. And while train travel is replacing some air travel here in Europe, that is only a small percentage. That is all just wishful thinking. The European low cost carriers are on the opposite moving from smaller to bigger aircraft, from A319 and A320 to A320 and A321 and so on.
Que orgulho da EMBRAER 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️❤️❤️
most*1 US carriers have NOT ordered E2 variants due to FAA regulations*2 *1 - US Regional Carriers affected by such regulations, such as Delta Connection or American Eagle *2 - the FAA regulations in question basically entail a plane over 'weight x' (not sure what it is off the top of my head) is not legally able to be operated by a regional carrier, and the E2 variants exceed such weight restrictions

Tail strike testing
The Colombian Air Force One will be an Embrear next to say Colombia has a president that will ban Boeing.
what's up with the tail strikes?
2:16 Development of the new generation of the E175 was halted because of the scope clause in the US regional market. The new engines of the E2 pushed its weight over the limits of that clause. Therefore Embraer decided waiting for the reviewing of those rules enabling the E175-E2 to compete for sales in its best selling market.
This is an amazing aircraft, what a crazy heading to put. Like all the other aircraft it has its place. 🇿🇦
Based on Boeings latest criminal behavior Embraer might move into second place.
4:20 just a small addendum to that. Brasil Is both the largest biofuel producer and Importer, by law here everycar needs to be capable of running on biofuel and also by law you can't buy pure gas, only diesel, biofuel or a gas-biofuel mixture. So It Is only natural we would be In the forefront of susteinable aviation fuel.
Let's talk some business. The problem with low Embraer sales is not about the plane itself, it's about the pilot, cabin crews, technicians etc. Not to mention to put all inventory in career's MRO site which already owerflow with Airbus and Boeing parts. Those are huge costs for airliners and no one wants to take the toll especially after pandemic. Airliners still trying to catch their numbers in 2018. The only benefit I see that this plane fits huge countries like USA, Mexico, Brazil, China and Russia that some routes have demand but it's very expensive to built infrastructure like train or highways. Europe trying to ban regionals so the main customer is and will be the regional airliners in USA. But I don't understand why they don't develop a mainstream narrow body to compete B737 or A320 series since Boeing has a huge thing coming itself and Airbus cannot catch the orders.
