Fishing my first kayak tournament of the year, the hobie bass open on the Harris Chain of lakes down in central Florida! I LOVE the harris chain, had a great practice, and got on a killer, all day top water bite today!

  • Kristine, as a Hobie owner thanks for taking the time to show your new setup. I have to say it’s very impressive with lots of gadgets all over the yak. I know you’re very busy with the kick off of the new season so I understand you don’t have a lot’s of time. However, I’m wondering when you do find the time maybe later this year and with warmer water temps you can show / demonstrate how one would get back into a yak easily with all the gadgets attached ? Maybe you can convince Hobie to conduct some safety classes on what would be the best paths back into a PA? Thanks

  • Great video as always. You always amaze me on how well you move around in a yak. Seeing you miss the seat and falling back had me chuckling thou. I’m glad you added it makes me feel better about my yak experiences.

  • Kristine, How do you not fall out of or flip that Kayak with all that moving around? I know Hobie is stable because I have a PA12. I would be in the water in a heartbeat. I appreciate your discipline in not staying on the Big Bass on beds when they weren’t biting. Great lesson for all of us.

  • Enjoy seeing tournament time again, feel like I'm out there fishing myself! Haven't been in awhile because, I'm still fighting cancer. Man I miss it,hopefully, my healing prays will be answered soon,being away from nature,really sucks! Keep on catching & having fun. Hope Pa &rest of family are fine!

    • Absolutely love it. I did get a tiny hole at the susky, but one of the patches you can get did the trick easy. And it was a very slow leak since it’s multiple chambers
