@HelenPerry1023 I know this might be a little shocking, but I never really looked into a lot of her album songs, and went back and forth with her personality. I have heard some songs from her 2nd,3rd,4th album, "The Bad Blood mv!" And "Wildest Dreams", is so beautiful- the classical version in Bridgerton is amazing. Vitamin String Quartet, is the band. "Long story short", I love my folk, country, alternative sisters, to chill out or sing to.or cry my eyes out, (Exile, Tears Ricochet, Coney Island, Tolerate it), but I will join you on that hill! Reputation, has the Bangers, the bops, the tears, and the love. The sensual/sexy trifecta was so classily done, and "CIWYW", especially the live in Paris version, and the tour version- chefs kiss perfect. Except one single song! The lead, single off the album, "LWYMMD". The silver lining I guess, was the ending- with her "taking the piss", (fellow Brits will get it, and it's one of her fave British phrases), or poking fun at herself, with all the other Taylors was hellish funny! But I personally think, my 3 top album picks has to be Folklore, Evermore and Reputation. It's almost criminally underrated! 🤗

I am 56 yrs old and had never listened to Taylor, but my daughter just went to her concert (her first Swift concert) last year and my granddaughter likes her so I went down the rabbit hole. My daughter has been to thousands of concerts, so it really surprised me when she said that Taylor's was the best she had ever seen. She is not a Swiftie and didn't have a long standing fandom, therefore I knew it had to be fantastic. I have watched and read everything I can find about Taylor because I make it my business as a mother and grandmother to be knowledgeable and able to connect with them on their interests. I have been blown away! Taylor Swift has impressed me as an artist and a person. I've said all this just to tell you that I LOVE your reaction! ❤ You not only appreciated the music and performance, but you knew the backstory. I've watched a lot of reactions that have been positive, but they didn't have a clue about the story behind it. Your reaction shows the respect it deserves and I respect you for that! You have earned yourself a new subscriber. I also want to say that it is not only because of your reaction and knowledge, you have a charming personality and are really fun to listen to. I love watching reactions as a long time swiftie, but most people just get super “hyped” but don’t actually pay attention or care too much about what’s going on. When you stopped in verse 2 and almost word for word repeated the entire first verse, I was shocked. Folklore and evermore are must listens, All Too Well her short film and then her performing it live on SNL are amazing! Death By 1000 cuts live in Paris is also a must watch! I really feel like a good amount of the people who though the Reputation album was mid or her worst project would change their minds after watching the Netflix special of the tour. I honestly think it actually sounds better in a live setting which is very rare because there’s no auto tune or pitch correctors and endless chances to make the best take in a live show so the vocals are usually underwhelming. Taylor, in my opinion, actually thrives on stage on her arena tours and her live vocals are incredible. Some people just thrive under pressure like that instead of letting it intimidate or overtake them.

The playboy is a dig at Calvin Harris. Her change from her songwriting credits for this is what you came for when he claimed they never wrote a song together even though you can hear her voice in the friggin song.
While no one will ever top Eminem I do give Taylor serious props for going all out when she goes toe to toe & let’s just call her songs what they are - diss tracks - with double & triple entendres just like Em does. Spray 4-5 people with one single bar. She writes this not someone else & it flows fast & effortlessly from her. She just sings it in the pop princess way instead of rapping it like Em. She can definitely hold her own, no ifs ands or buts about it. I know Em would consider what I’ve said an insult but it’s not. Matter of fact I think she’s actually learned a lot from watching & listening to him. This song is the 1 song that was a mistake to remove from the eras tour. The show is still great but you can hear the major thud hitting the ground when she switches albums without performing this during the reputation set. Love your reviews man! They’re always entertaining & I love that you review all different genres & types of artists. Keep it up✌️
