well I managed to watch a little over halfway and had to turn off, not only was it bad acting, the story is not true to real facts, only that a girl did die, the real legend is far worse
The actual story/legend is so much scarier than this attempt at it.....

There is a real story?
There is an island of dolls but it's not a scary story. It's actually really sad. It's an island in the Phillipines I think and a fisherman found the body of a little girl there. To stop her spirit from being lonely he hung a doll on a tree. It's claimed after a week he could hear her spirit cry so he'd hang another doll. This continued for several decades and other islanders also donated dolls. He's now passed away and the island is a tourist attraction but is also believed to be haunted. Not any nasty spirits though just mischievous

it is a true story,, however when people make movies based on true events , what can I say something is lost in translation movies want to make money so they're over exaggerated which make the real story seem unbelievable
Whoever the costume designer was, should be blacklisted from all future films for that "1956" outfit at the beginning of the movie.
I hate it when no name actors are featured under the title, like it makes it more inviting? If they're good then good thats enough ill remember their faces.

The story of "Isla de las Muñecas" deserves to be made by a real production company, set on the island itself. It would also need to focus on Julián Barrera himself, and not some random group of losers. This 'effort' was a waste and not worth watching.

Per the legend, she was found drowned in a channel. What this movie did was show her ghost running. Google "Isla de las Muñecas" for the real story.

Omg why did Netflix stop password sharing? I found this on Tuvi and I was just want to know how to get the last 1hr 18mins back. Where did the tents and table come from? No one came with camping gear. Omg, how brite is the moon on the island. The movie should called island of the low budget.
