OSHO: There Is No Goal

"My whole life I have been telling you there is no goal! Life is its own goal. There is nothing outside life that you have to achieve. All achievement is the projection of the ego. The very idea of achievement is ambition. What you achieve does not matter -- money, power, knowledge; these are not in any way going to give you life. In fact, in achieving power, in achieving money, in achieving prestige, in achieving any other ambition, you are losing your life, you are sacrificing your life." Osho

    • The video has an idea that is worthy of being always there for us. People mix up how they use time to how they should use their time, and start painting goals. Stop, and take a moment and focus on what ever you wish... I think there are better words for this, but this video works as a base that should be taught as the very first thing to people. In some sense it also says that you can't fail, but then it misses the message what one gets when they aim to just live, which is caring for themselves, and caring for their own heart.

    • That's not the attitude either, you have to be very alert, because your mind misinterpret everything according to your unconscious. When Osho says there is nowhere to go he means that life should be lived as a celebration, but if you just sit and do nothing your energy is going to get stucked, show some creativity man! Even Osho used to design things and write poems and stuff..!

Actually don't bother to understand life, even this is not life, life is not just happening. Its better not to make efforts in trying to understand life, it is something which is out of our understanding. All other things are temporary, perishable & uncertain. However 99.99...% humans work restlessly in the rat race to achieve goal after goal, materials after materials thinking it will give them happiness & joy. But ultimately at old ages or at the death bed we will realize that any goal, any materialist possessions have given us nothing, but only living in the present moment totally will give us happiness & joy; which we have missed miserably throughout our lives!!!! All our lives we have been just running here & there, but forgot to live and enjoy the moments of the journey slowly & peacefully.

All achievement is the projection of the ego. The very idea of achievement is ambition. What you achieve does not matter -- money, power, knowledge; these are not in any way going to give you life. • I know a guy who spent countless years on a startup. He sacrificed everything to bring it to fruition. He had multiple opportunities to settle down with a wife in rural India and be a happy villager. Anyways, by the time he was 37 he finally got funding and the startup took off. He became very wealthy by 43. But at 43 he felt very empty because 23 years of fun have already past by. 20 of the best years have already past. As humans, we make life so difficult. We need to strive to be equal to animals. If you give 100000000 rupees to a monkey or a chimpanzee they would probably tear it up, and throw it in the bush somewhere. This is a sign that money means nothing. It's just paper.
