I totally get your view on this because you’re right, it is disgusting. However, Mitch’s channel revolves around car detailing, including interior cleaning. It’s part of his content. My husband and I always felt like a terrible parents for how "dirty" our car can get, but after finding this channel I feel like a super clean mom!
my godfather drove a Escalade, with at least 4 kids daily growing up. As long as you don’t let them eat in the car often or at all. You don’t have to worry to much, we were barley allowed to drink water in that van. So he only had to worry about, dusting and vacuuming regularly.
Same here. I felt bad when I had a bunch of blankets, clothes, toys etc but now that I discovered this guy I have to say my car is spotless. Why can't people just throw away trash when they are pumping gas?

i detail cars for a living too, some people get their cars cleaned once every ten years (little exageration here) but the car has to look brand new when you are done,
My mom had six kids including me and we cleaned the passenger van we had every two weeks and we were not allowed to leave any trash in it. So I don’t understand how someone can let their vehicle get so nasty.
My sister and I alone completely trashed my mom’s minivan. And I know she let it get that bad because we were absolute terrors. Yeah she’d clean out the fast food bags and shit, but for the most part she didn’t bother because she knew were just trash it again.
Parents don't know how to make the kids clean up.

Just a side note, It’s ok to discuss how to clean the car to spotless condition. Explaining your expertise on removing grime, gunk, etc. But telling your viewers about how filthy the car is which only reflect on the owner’s behalf. No wonder not all of them are willing to videotaped in the end after restoration. Keep in mind this is why you got the car detail business.

Not just their rooms but the house overall. This isn’t just kids being messy. This is adults being disgusting. Busy or not there is no excuse to leave moldy bananas and half eaten food under the seats. Or dried vomit and urine. Not saying it has to be spotless but plenty of busy and working parents with kids are able to keep a vehicle that doesn’t look like the county dump was there.
@@TXnine7nine you obviously don't have kids 🤣🤣🤣 the half eaten food on the floor comes from kids throwing it there and the parents not knowing thinking they ate it. The only people I've seen that keep cars and house clean 24/7 are people with 1 kid try that with 2 or more kids. I've learned I don't let my kids eat in the car anymore now it's just toys and cups that litter the floor. I don't usually deal with pee anymore since my kids have gotten better about that hahaha wait till you got kids bud before my cars and house stayed spotless 24/7 it's impossible anymore with kids. Btw don't call parents lazy while your kid less and probably get 8 plus hours of sleep most parents get about 5 hours of sleep.

Normally he says the reaction is one you won't want to miss and they just sound like me when I'm trying to sound excited for some random bit of info my kid told me (today it was "Don't smile at monkeys, they view it as a threat. That isn't a joke.") I absolutely can't fathom why none of the customers sound more excited... I mean, I guess they've seen his work and know what to expect but... holy crap! When I started watching this I expected to be real disappointed by her reaction but it was great.
You cannot know what someone is going through by a few seconds of video. Like many here, I go back and forth with "shaming" owners of nasty cars, and then , every once in a while, it is clear to me, I just don't know all of the facts. IF in fact, someone is having a hard time, or going through a difficult situation (and again, I DON'T know), I do NOT want to add to it, or "pile on"......

Kids or no kids your vehicle shouldn’t be this way. I was 3 & I at least vacuum mine out & remove trash daily. 😒
@@xMsRudeness Yeah! One great trick is never letting it get this way in the first place. There are a multitude of options. 1. Always take the fresh trash out of the car each time you stop where there is a trash bin. 2. Vacuum the car the same time you vacuum the house, because you have the vacuum out anyway. You don't need an industrial vacuum cleaner for the car if it's regularly cleaned. 3. If the kids can't handle messy food. Don't let them eat in the car. I don't buy the "Long drive. Need to feed kids"-argument that many use. There is always places to stop and eat. I was a kid too, and our car never looked anything remotely like this. Mom always brought a trash bag to throw candy wrappers and chewing gum and stuff like that. If we spilled anything, we took care of it at the next gas station.
I said this same thing, but I found out certain people have mental illnesses that literally cause this kind of behavior. Psychotic Depression, major depressive disorder (MDD,) obsessive compulsive hoarding (OCH,) and some forms of PTSD and schizophrenia. A lot of times people with chemical depression get called lazy but their brains cause them to have poor hygiene practices when they don’t have the proper medications to fix the chemical imbalances in their bodies. I wonder if the owner of this van could have new behaviors if they had help from the right medications.

This is so satisfying. I love cleaning out cars! I wish I could start doing this as a service on my own. But there’s no way I could ever afford to get start. I have a shop vac and a bunch of chemicals and cleaning liquids but that’s about it.

Man, listen. I know everyone has different struggles but my sister has FIVE kids. Her car has never looked anywhere remotely like this. I don't understand how some people let their cars get this bad, but like I said; everyone has struggles. Glad she loved the result! Kickass Mitch.
I loved seeing the lady's reaction. She was so excited to have her van looking and smelling good. I bet she will be a repeat customer for sure.
One simple step to prevent this is every time you go and fill up with gas while waiting for your tank to fill, throw out all of the trash that is in your car. Make it a habit to do it every-time and you’ll notice a immediate difference!
That's what I do! My little prius isn't super clean but at least it's normally trash free.
I remove trash every time I get out the car. I keep a roll of bags in the console. Bag it up and throw it away in my big trashcan in the garage and wheel it out on trash day. I never have trash in there beyond the day it was created. I can't deal with it.

I keep a trash bag in my car in the front, and even though I have no (living) children, nor do I have any passengers 99% of the time, I still toss any trash immediately! I hate a dirty car interior, and even one piece of paper on the floor is more than I want there (I'm a bit OCC when it comes to my personal environment I know).

Hard to say. My car is a dumpster on wheels sometimes, but my home is very clean and is the focus of my energy and effort after work. I keep my desk and work areas clean at the job as well. I just have a bad habit of treating my car as a picnic area and an antique furniture/garden goods/grocery hauler and ignore maintenance. I know a few other people who are the same and I know more people whose home looks like an episode of Hoarders, but their vehicle is always immaculate. Don't be too hard on this lady though. She admitted that there is a problem and she spoke about keeping on top of cleaning now that it's been detailed. She also thanked him several times. Some of the people featured on here just grab their keys, blame it all on their kids and walk away. Everybody can strive to do a bit better in life.
Lets imagine you have a dirty car (I have, too sometimes.. the "normal dirty" though). Lets imagine wanting to get it cleaned by a professional (not everyone for example has a pressure washer, the time, space & knowledge to clean every spot on a car). Wouldn't you toss out at least the bigger chunks of trash before giving it to a professional? Or is my thinking wrong? :D

Let’s imagine this, this van guessing is the $30,000- $40,000 dollar van she transports her kids in that was covered in filth and urine soaked. Now just imagine what the $1000,00-$2000,00 dollar floors in the home or the few hundred dollar beds, the sheets, blankets and car seats. Enough to make your skin crawl and puke🤮 Such a sick filthy person raising children.
