Both of you are very kind and easy to talk to and I tell everyone about how amazing it was to meet you. Glad you had a good trip and happy to see you back in Seoul I miss it already!

  • man that solar eclipse footage made me cry like a baby- there's just something so special and human about people gathering to see things like that 💞 Also I am such a big supporter of appreciating your local trees. The magnolia blooms in Boston were some of my favorite parts of living there, and now I pause under every blossoming tree I see here in Scotland. The world has so many wonderful things when we have the time to see them!!

  • Yup. I love living in America. People here are extremely friendly. ie. My husband and I stand in line, when we have light conversations, people around us do eavesdrop, for all you know, they join in the conversation too and I like that. It’s very wholesome. I moved here to Michigan from Singapore 6 years ago. And the Midwest has certainly rubbed in on me. It’s call the Midwest nice!

  • I really appreciate all the Louie content in this vlog. We said goodbye to our dog of over 16 years on Friday. Today was my first day having lunch alone in our home. I’m missing the sound of his feet on the floor as he paced around the dining table and the way he always decided he simply must go outside the moment my food was ready. It’s a big transition to being without his company, but getting to spend my lunch with Louie (and an equally adorable Finn) made it a bit easier. My family and I also saw totality for the first time and it was so amazing. We left early to drive a couple of hours down to a winery and spent a few hours hanging out drinking sangria , playing uno and eating our picnic before the eclipse began. It was an all together a perfect day.

  • I always think it’s funny or I should say interesting how some cultures hate small talk or talking to strangers. There are definitely places like that in the US as well. Having lived a few places now I’ve noticed how like a whole city can have that vibe where people are definitely closed off to community and then others you literally have to make extra time during your errands because you expect to talk to everyone you encounter. I didn’t come from a community minded area, so experiencing that at first was daunting. I realised it was a me issue I had to work through. lol now I adore it and would rather live in an area where everyone smiles and talks to everyone. I agree that it’s recharging. And there are definitely interesting and incredible humans everywhere. I’m with you, keep talking! You never know who you might meet. One of my first encounters was at a cafe, a man whom I thought was homeless I chatted up for several minutes. He was so insightful and kind. I found out from a local he was a famous author and poet. You never know!

  • I agree with you about the cherry blossoms (pears as well!) in Pennsylvania! I was near Lancaster the same time you were in USA and the blossoms were everywhere, huge and amazing! I had never seen so many in bloom at once. Just glorious! ❤👋👍
