Emily is remarkably calm when a lizard has a death grip on her. I'd be swearing up a storm from the pain.
Oh I’m sure when he clamped down she was swearing. Lol
@@theRock-hh1gl lol I would to
It’s the fun of reptiles, you get used to being bit. So many times my bull snake would latch on my hand and I’d be like “aww, I’m not food you silly thing” and then later “wow, my hand kinda hurts, lol”
@@MEKCreations I guess it's like getting scratched by my cats, then. I shrug it off most of the time.
@@tuvelat7302 pretty much. Although I would wager an Ackie bite is way less fun than a bull snake.
Emily's casual, "Oh hi!" when Brayden walked in on her being eaten by a lizard was funnier than it should have been. Meanwhile him trying to catch cricket escapees while Ed continued to pry the lizard off with scissors, and a third person filmed it all was a pretty good summary of what it's probably like to run a zoo lol.

Emily cheerily informing us about the "naughty animal of the day" board whilst getting bit by an ackie monitor will never not be funny 😂
She should've dunked it in the turtle tank
Yes
Calling the monitor a jerk was the most "colorful" I've ever seen Emily's language towards one of their own animals. While he was doing his best interpretation of the jaws of life. Adorable.
I know, right?!
I'm pretty sure they call them much more inventive things off camera. They do have a snake named Foreskin after all 🤣

I can't believe they demonetized this video over an ackie monitor bite! If anything, you deserve more money for handling it so well!!!
What? Really? That's ridiculous.
How can you tell it has been demonetized?
KZhead's demonetizing everything lately.
*AGREED.* Still! Imagine getting bit by an ackie monitor and filming it!

@@Artbyissyhanna search for Snake Discovery, types of snake bites or smth like that
That was the most squirm-inducing thing I've seen in a long time.
I'm just a random drop in here, but I love that the snakes and the lizards, which aren't super fast and the turtle that's downright slow are so determined to have little adventures and find new hiding places. Love to hear some commentary about what inspires their wanderlust, how they feel in their time away, and why they pick the places they do to settle down again.
The way she always manages to make weird situations with animals positive and interesting is amazing. Emily: "You never know what could happen here!" Also Emily: Proudly saying that the Monitor would be on the naughty animal of the day board for chomping on her arm.
That tricolor hognose trying to mate with himself was like a living art piece. 😂
I agree, it was also kinda funny/cute to watch.
If it doesn’t have a name Oroborus would probably fit😂 also he needs a lady friend!hope he gets one this year
I've seen it before with my doofus tricolor...His motion dug himself into a hole. 🤣
Like a snake chasing its tail. xD I second the Oroborus comment.
Gotta rename him Narcissus
I remember Rex's black pool was eventually going to go to Chloe. Sounds like moving into a bigger house might be just what she needs!
I agree. It seems like she's in a pretty small enclosure with not much enrichment. I'm sure they have plans of upgrading her eventually though.
7:32 The “no.. NOOOO-“ was deeply felt.
cloie was like dang it she got me again why is Emily so good at hide'n'seek
I love the chaos of the ackie monitor video! The lizard refusing to let go, the spilled crickets, it was hilarious. Hope your arm is all healed!
That’s gonna get you an OSHA visit 😂
Hijacking this comment since it's the most liked right now: but wouldn't submerging the monitors head under water make it want to let go? Like, they wouldn't let themselves drown, would they?
@@mikerich32 I just commented the same. Yes this is the trick I’ve used with lizards at the store I work at.
@@mikerich32 Probably would work, but I get the feeling Emily wouldn't want to risk hurting the ackie by getting water in its lungs.
@@Soph-xr4br Ah, good to hear that it's a useful tactic. I don't have lizards, only snakes, so I don't have any experience with lizards latching on hahah. However, one time one of my snakes latched onto herself while I was feeding her and she refused to let go. But once I put one drop of vinegar in her mouth she let go instantly, and still ate her meal a few minutes later!
I'm sure you could fill this whole series with "Clips of Snakes Chomping Down On Things That Are Not Food" 😂
That needs to be a 'shorts' series. Add name, species, and a counter for how many times that one's been caught. 🤣
I’d click on that video so fast😂

That bite was crazy bro
The snake snuggled into the belt holster is the cutest thing ever, he’s so cozy!

Hi
1:32 I see this a lot in rabbits as well, an intact male will go in tightly closed circles around himself thinking that his tail is a female. Sometimes they get a good bite on their back and it trips them up. The look of confusion when the female they have been chasing suddenly disappears is adorable.
Rabbit: noms booty x confusion as to no womans x
Glad they're continuing the series because I love these shenanigans
Chole the adventurer. She really gets around for someone so slow.
Yes more!!! You need a sign that says “X days since escape” on the naughty board. Maybe you should make a video showing how secure the venomous snake enclosures are so that people aren’t worried about them escaping. I’m sure it’s perfect and inescapable but I could see how future zoo patrons may want to see that they have an extra secure enclosure. Just a thought.
I second the "how many days since escape" !!! 😄
I agree
They did show off how they’re even more secure in the Justin timber snake video :3 they screwed on the light screen, triple foamed anything that looked even a little loose, has a 5inch glass overlap to prevent people from sticking fingers in, as well as double locks that only Ed and Emily have access too :3. Chloe just loves escaping and is super sweet (she doesn’t snap really according to some of Emily’s past videos). Notice how Emily’s hand placement on her. If Chloe snapped easily, Emily would not be holding her there but as far from Chloe’s head as possible. This video was just so much fun to watch!
I have on odd feeling Chloe is going to be a frequent character in these episodes... just a hunch. also having a naughty reptile of the day board is the best idea ever!
I kind of want them to post on socials who the naughty reptile is each day!
I find it funny it's naughty reptile of the DAY and not WEEK, so we can see how often shenanigans happen
Yes best idea evarrrr
Just rewatched this and I'm loving the "eff the government" energy of all these reptiles. Especially the snake at 10:39 trying to eat the snake hook, absolute rebel 🤘

Yes!@!! They are the reall lovers of reptiles.
That was funny 😂 but your right about Chloe’s new hiding place
I hope Emily is okay after the lizard bite! Ironically enough that’s how I started watching this channel back in 2019, it was the video where Emily shows how to get snakes to stop biting you. That’s the video that got me hooked. Yes I want to see more videos like this

This is an excellent series, love to see the behind the scenes shenanigans.
OOF that bite! Love the shenanigans! I do hope Chloe gets an upgraded set-up soon. She's such an escape artist, and it's funny to watch - but I am hoping it doesn't become a never ending occurrence. For her safety and everyone's sanity, lol.
Funny you say that. I used to have a sign on our bathroom door when my daughter was a toddler that said to please keep the door closed at all times for “her safety and mom’s sanity” lol.
Dang!! Emily is a champ for chatting calmly to the camera while an ackie tried to eat her forearm. Also, can't wait to see more of the caiman lizard!

Coleo is so cute and ed is so funny on these vids I love shinanigians they are so funny and Chloe is so cute when she dives
Hope there will be more of these, I think this could be my new favorite show 💚
I think my heart stopped when you explained that if you put the ackie down on a flat surface, he would have started tearing your flesh off. Lizards are adorable but scary! Would really love to see more of this series, the staff all seem like so much fun and I'd love to get to know them better through clips like these :D
Watched this with my dad a while ago and he agreed that the monitor bite was worse than a snake bite then added "but in my experience the crocodilia family is the worse to get bit by." Its the in my experience line that gets me. This is a man who when I was 8 years old ran into the middle of the road to grab a 4 foot rat snake to show me and my little cousins. A valid conversation we have is if we should adopt a snake but we have deemed our house was too busy for them. But anyway I asked him how he knew what was worse and he said he had been bitten by a snake, a monitor, and a small alligator.
You and your dad seem cool
Can you tell me the story of the alligator? How big was it?
are you from Florida?

8:05 I think you need to take that lizard to AAA meetings - ackie alcoholics anonymous
Emily and Ed are so patient with their animals ❤
Thank you, for Finally identifying a behavior that has perplexed me for years. The Milk Snake moving in perfect sync with himself is something Corn Snake has done many times, usually when he comes out of his pseudo-hibernation in the middle of winter. I always thought he was just energetic after a shed or being inactive. I had no idea he was actually trying to breed with himself. I learned something today!
Milkies and Burms, brothers in stupidity
That's not a milk snake, it's a tricolor hognose snake! I would've thought it was obvious, based on the... well.... nose? Lol.
@@_veronica_r Fair, wasn't paying attention to the snake, just releveling in finally having an answer to a question about my own snake's behavior. No need to be nasty.
@@OrcDragon65 Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to come off as rude. Sorry if I did.
Funny, with they snake breeding with themself. At least, trying to
I love this series already. I don't know much on snapping turtles but seems like Chloe may need an escaped proof container, undersides of pallets can be dangerous loose sharp peices(found this out at work a few times)
Here's a weird idea in the meantime while you guys look at the possibility of an upgrade. You clearly don't intend on moving those pallets anytime soon. I know you had (and hopefully still have) some decent quality scrap wood in the greenhouse. Might be time to make some impromptu kick boards and block those pallets off, use screws instead of staples if you want to remove the kickboards and use a pallet jack again later
This is footage from back when they were still moving animals into the zoo. Chloe has her own big enclosure now (or at least that is what I have heard).
@@Ryodraco I thought she did, but I couldn't remember lol
@@Ryodraco Oh really? I don't live near where they are. So I didn't know Chole got a new enclosure
Chloe wants a new enclosure like Rex she feels left out.

The”everyone thinks their sexy” quote is my favorite part
They’re not their
Who knew I wasn't the only one using my snakes as free weights. Awesome.
Not many people are talking about the girl using the snake as a weight and thank god I found one I just didnt want to be alone with it
I do the same thing with my 10 month old. If I didn't, he'd quickly outpace how much I can pick up and sling around. He's already 20 lbs. Add in carseat, diaper bag, and my own purse, and... 😭
It's actually a good idea...especially for someone considering getting an exotic pet but never had one ,besides care and such ..it shows others issues someone might come across alot of KZheadrs don't discuss ..please keep making these ♥️♥️
More!! Watched 1 and 2, can't get enough 😄
Please keep posting these videos! This is so fun y
I enjoyed how Ed had no capacity to tak while trying to free Emily- like he wanted to laugh at the lost crickets; but knew how bad Emily was hurting and just wanted to get her free. True gentleman
I think Chloe needs a bigger enclosure with a lockable lid, could that be the reason she is always escaping? This episode was awesome.
I agree
Oh yeah she 100% needs a bigger enclosure. I wish they had a nicer set up for her. I'm sure she'd be much happier and less prone to escaping.
That and maybe a cave and basking spot. I'm only mentioning the cave because the majority of the time they found her Under things.
@[ Toaster Strudel ] Thank you for reminding people of this. Too many people are ready to throw ya under the bus without even knowing the full story. 🧸👑
@[ Toaster Strudel ] It's been like a year now though, no?
9:00 Brayden said a cuss word
I was wondering if anyone else noticed 😂
1:00 hooray Ed’s idea actually worked
This was so funny. I enjoyed learning about lizard’s bite versus snakes even though Emily was the target. I love seeing the shenanigans.
The staff should be added more into the series. They all seem so interesting to experience.. of course if they're comfortable with it but I'd love to see them more for this series... Also, since chloe keeps escaping, wouldn't it be nice to put a net mesh or something over her enclosure?
I thought they were going to upgrade her to Rex's old big pool, but then again, they are probably lacking room for something that big in their backroom area.
@@demonqueen881 I also think Rex's pool is too shallow for her
@@_.-._.-. on Rex’s birthday they got her a big pool to replace the kiddy pool and said Chloe would be using it once Rex was in the zoo. That pool is deeper and bigger than the one Chloe is in now
Where would be the fun in that? She likes to explore & hide. Doesn't hurt her a bit.
@@peanutbutter8744 I think they had to use it for something else I vaguely remember something along those lines in a previous video.
Also, it's crazy how Emily and Edd had so many pet reptiles in their house that they could open a zoo. They have added a few more because they have the space but 80% came from their home.
6:14 “roach roach roach your boat” got me dying
The intro reminds me of when I used to do squats with my 18lb cat 😂

This was a fun video. I enjoyed seeing the lighter side of your day-to-day with the reptiles. I'm still catching up with the videos on your channel, so I haven't seen if this series has indeed continued. I hope so!
I think this is Chloe's way of saying she wants a new place to live lol. Hopefully she gets a more secure enclosure, especially with those mouse traps that were by the pallets. Not sure how tough turtles are but I'm sure a mouse trap still wouldn't feel good lmao.
Yeah that enclosure is shameful honestly. didnt expect that from this channel

Does Chloe maybe need a bigger (possibly covered...) tub? Thanks for the awesome videos! Really enjoyed the Shenanigans!! :)
I thought they mentioned in another video a while back that they were going to give Rex's last tub she had at home to Chloe... maybe it is too big for the office area though?
Was thinking the same, maybe they could just add a dry nook onto her tub where she can hide? She's so brave and adventurous 💕
Or maybe move the board that looks to be a ramp?
Probably haven't had the time. They're crazy busy
Yeah, it was silly at 1st, but obviously Chloe isn't happy in her current enclosure, and it's honestly pretty small for her size; I'd want out, too. I'm really hoping they upgrade her soon, or pay someone to if they're too busy. I absolutely love this channel, but it is kinda sad to see Chloe in such a small enclosure. 😢
