Is an axe even tempered though? I figured for an axe you'd not really need that and untempered might be better. By tempering you'd mainly make the metal more flexible. And while for blades that would be usefull, for an axe I'm not so sure.
Xander Wusky11 ай бұрын
@Xander Wusky tempering just naturalises the grains in the steel after it has been quenched to increase the hardness of the material. You could theoretically do an axe this way if you want to really get a good cutting edge on it. But for wood cutting you’d lose that edge very quickly in any way

ZhuLeeDTT Жыл бұрын
@ZhuLeeDTT you can see the heel/beard of the head is not as flat as the top originally, when it was installed upside-down the top of the axe dramatically sticks up. The biggest issue is that the handle will never be seated right. The eye of the axe is taperd so that it is larger on top allowing for the handle to swell and lock in.

I'm the 1k like
@Ps5 Protogen Gaming do not be mistake, this is equally as bad as "edit: thanks for the likes kekekekehaha so popular"

Finally someone who actually runs a bead instead of tacks on top of eachother
I have so many questions, starting with why
Didn't like having a functional axe?
“How to ruin the temper of an axe”
You can redo it if you really want to…
Diwhy
I came for this comment
Is an axe even tempered though? I figured for an axe you'd not really need that and untempered might be better. By tempering you'd mainly make the metal more flexible. And while for blades that would be usefull, for an axe I'm not so sure.
@Xander Wusky tempering just naturalises the grains in the steel after it has been quenched to increase the hardness of the material. You could theoretically do an axe this way if you want to really get a good cutting edge on it. But for wood cutting you’d lose that edge very quickly in any way
Now! That is one cool axe/maul
You did amazing work!
"Hey Jimmy, have you seen my axe?" "Yeah, here ya go." "What the hell."
Lmao!
😂😂😂

LMBO!-
Your welds are legit bro
never have I seen a less handy tool
By adding the two together he increased the cutting surface area, reducing the effectiveness of the axe.
So I'm not the only who knows about weapon design
@The Terrarian not only as a weapon but as a utility tool. It went from a versatile tool to a "firewood splitter" only tool.
Agreed.
It think that's the point
Perfect for all those 4 way logs
I think I prefer the classic axe, thanks.
Alternative title: "How to ruin two perfectly good axe heads"
At least one was really wasted.
I was watching the whole video thinking did you really have to use 2 axeheads for this.
Ну прелесть одним словом
Lo que más me gustó fue, el tipo de soldadura 👌💪
"F*ck this piece of wood in particular"
“if you say so..” _zip_
@DN_Speedrunner ayo-
@DN_Speedrunner yo that's sus
@DN_Speedrunner ay, Aye! AYE!
@DN_Speedrunner ayo yo yo yo wait up...lemme join in too.
That is a very nice looking axe and a very clean job nice one
I mean those welds are pretty solid
Customer: “Sir, I just said I needed my axe sharpened, it was pretty dull” This guy: “Ooooooh!! I thought you said it looked dull. So I decided to spruce it up for you a tad bit.”
😂😂

ah yes simple diy
Yes. Another name suggestion "mace"
And the award for loosest definition of the term “DIY” goes too…
It literally never meant anything else. Never. You invented this in your head while watching the newest and most recent AND in minority use-case of “DIY” in those shitty “turn your table upside down and it’s a sled” view-farming videos.
Diy means do it yourself, he did that himself. You blind or something?
@Furry fire yeah that's what i thought aswell
This is more like do-it-myself
Wow! It looks very powerful
Молодец! Захотел и сделал! Уважаю таких, лёгких на подьём!
*"DIY"* Yes I totally can do this myself
I mean you probably could. Biggest thing holding you back is money for the power tools and welder.
Its not that *you* could do it with household tools, it’s that he didn’t pay someone else or use an automatic machine (other than saws, sanding, etc).
If I'm being honest you can. All he used was an angle grinder and a welder. Pretty much a staple in any DIYers shop
You totally could.
@Aye Bby so basically your saying you could do it if you could do it
Great I really wasn’t expecting that one .
That’s Badass
"How to make a mace"
Tilted mace but focus stats on sharpness instead of blunt dmg.

Seems to work like a mail for wood splitting except the edge of a mail rarely “sticks” in the wood which might happen with this creation with its sharp edges ?
esse cara e fera
I already know theres an axe expert watching this just bawlling his eyes out
I’m looking for his comment.
I mean, how are you going to get the axe unstuck if it doesn't split the wood in one go... Especially if the log is long and full of knots.
All that nonsense and I'm most upset that he mounted it upside down on the handle.......
Вот именно. Железную часть нужно надевать сверху в низ!
An expert at Making double axe heads? I’m kidding I’m kidding I have multiple hundreds of axes in my collection. It was just a joke
That is so bubba'd. I want one.
Perfect axe
Damn thanks ive been wondering what to do with the two axes, angle grinder and welding rod in my garage. Thanks mate
Right? Everyone has this laying around 🤣☠️.... But on the real tho, I've gotten a passion to learn how to weld 🤣☠️
Best mig welder award
Perfect orange slicer
Alternate title: “How to make a useful tool useless.”
Kinda still useable
@Nelzyr I won't be able to chop people with this
@A Teen Who Likes Videogames bash is another option
@Musab Abdul Malek but chopping fresh humans is more effective than bonking them with a mace which
"how to make a mace out of an axe"
Ah yes, lemme just take a perfectly good axe and make it less than half as good as a normal one
Michael Because the extra blades add more surface area the whole thing will act less sharp. He probably did this many times and only used the best results for footage
@Redneck Chemistry you can see is pree cut
Correction *two* perfectly good axes
😱😱😱😱😱
Excelente idea wow!!
"How useless do you want it to be?" Him: "yes"
If you’ve ever split wood you would know that this would be very helpful in splitting the wood in 4 sections 😀👍🏼
@Hud_Strthr thats not how it works my man
@Hud_Strthr if you have ever split wood before you would know that axe would have too much surface area to split a log
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
@Lord Jeffery he litteraly cuts wood with it in the video
Amazing,nice job👍👍
Awesome😍
Just to optimize the "cool but useless" aspect, i want to see this double sided
The twin war-axe
Uhm no look what a would splitting maul is this is what he made theres way better designs but it still works
@frankies left toe dude trying to read your comment hurts my damn brain
I'll raise that - double sided; both ends; connected by chains
@Metasora i commented while drunk cba to fix it
On a le même boulot ! 👩🏭👍
You somehow managed to make both a blunt weapon and a sharp weapon into one
And now, you're ready for zombie apocalypse
True 😅
@NecroDagger false
And that's about all it's good for. Don't trust a weld for chopping wood.
@михулик it's falsely true that you made this statement which is questionable inaccurate
Надо попробовать ☺️
You're not gonna heat treat that blade after grinding it and welding it?
"diy" "since when can i do this myself"
😂😂😂
Ik
ayt lemme pull out an axe and a laser machine thingy
@aktwix You mean a welding machine?
@Mathias Hansen yeah that thing
Wow Amazing 👌❤
Eine sehr gute Idee 💡
The title: *DIY* Me: yea I could easily do that myself
Exactly what i was saying i was like ( do i really need all of this stuff?)
@Zenitsu welding is the only way to stick metals together, and you need a welding license for that one (not like getting a drivers license)
@nilsber ik
@nilsber maybe depends where you live. I bought my tig on Amazon shipped right to my house
He did it himself aka diy tho maybe make it dih
would you use this axe for a season or wood chopping?
just change the handle posititon and you got yourself an ok mace
Someone get the dwarven dad on this! "Oh sweet Moradin..." Edit: Spell check
Don't think Dwarves are this Dumb!
Moradin*. I got you!
@Aaron Hobbs Thanks!
I thought the exact same thing, our Dwarven father needs to see this
Oh jeez, dad would be PISSED.
Remember one thing and remember it good there is never to much axe.
Muito bom 👍
Such an easy DIY. The tools are very cheap, everyone has them, and I will definitely remember this in case someone invades my house.
Yea bro also i detect sarcasam
🤣🤣🤣
Nah just get a ccw and and a gun
Homie’s just gonna be like “hold up we need to go to my workshop before you rob me”
Yeah, it might look cool for splitting wood or something like that....right up until the weld fails and you get a metal blade in your face. There's a reason the blade is cast not welded.
Ahh yes diy because most people who are chopping their own wood for some reason regularly have access to welding equipment not to mention the saw they used to cut up the ax
Those “welds” look like stacked tacks…
Yeah just the fact that we can't see the eyes of god while he welds is just an editing trick. Just run a fucking bead, why tack stack? You have the machine and metal just donate a bit of your time. You can do op.
Ace head is on upside down as well
Axe***
One of the welding channels did a vid on this technique not long ago. More of an editing technique..
Literally no penetration, axe head is gonna fly away someday
Parfait pour le bambou aussi
Now this is a great axe! But... how do you sharpen it?
Спички только колоть
imagine doing all that work and putting the head on upside down
good eye
Thought I was the only one to notice that
💀
Is there a difference? I don't know anything about this and it would look the same either way right?
@ZhuLeeDTT you can see the heel/beard of the head is not as flat as the top originally, when it was installed upside-down the top of the axe dramatically sticks up. The biggest issue is that the handle will never be seated right. The eye of the axe is taperd so that it is larger on top allowing for the handle to swell and lock in.
Awesome
What kind of welding was that?
If this actually worked well, people would've been doing it this way for hundreds of years.
This totally gives an anime sword vibes 🤣
Love to see it brake on australian iron bark gum
"Thats so cool!" Him: "Yes." "Why'd you make it?" Him: "Yes."
Ur comment : ghaye
The fuck does that even mean?
@꧁GlorifiedGremlin꧂ it means he made it for no reason. literally, however, it means nothing
Lol
Comment is completely unoriginal at this point it all over you tube. 0/10 for creativity
Perfect!
If it was centered with a shorter handle it would make for a nice morningstar or mace
“Diy” just needs welder, grinders and cutting wheel.
And welding skills, to his credibility he never said it would be easy
@William Graham those aren’t welding skills. It is a bunch of spot welds edited to look like a continuing weld which it isn’t
You can pick all that up for like less than $200 bucks if you go cheap, which if you're learning there's no harm in going cheap.
@Ryan Henderson You still need some skill to weld I guess.
Nice soldering dude
what is the name of the solder?
"Damn dude what did you get hit by?" "Oh you know a axe that’s built like a call of duty cross hair"
Bro so brainwashed he couldn’t say “cross”
@BearMeatTaco ?
@BearMeatTaco ?
@BearMeatTaco Try reading again, bro.
@Costantly bruh he meant he couldn't simply say its a cross but he over exaggerated it
Top Job
This video was really about that circulating cutter.
Shopkeeper: So you want one or two Him: Yes
Na odwrud zabiłeś trzonek
@EkSpE same bro
Great know the axe have low quality products :v because it's not usefull, it's have problems with aero dynamic
@balibalibro wut
@balibalibro apà
What kind of welder is that?
This looks cool af
“Diy” Yea lemme grab my welding kit rq💀
i have a welding kit :D
@kacey cool
@kacey nicee bro
You didnt expect to make a twin axe with just duct tape and a pair of scissors right? ... Right?
