This was a really tough job me and my dad did, we woke up extremely sore every morning from the shoveling the heavy dirt. We had a lot of unfortunate things happen,we lost a camera battery, we got a flat tire, and the mowers battery died. After all we got the job done as always we dont like to back out of anything!

The city obviously doesn't have a inspector to make sure lawns are kept to code,or, he or she doesn't take their job seriously. Our city would never have allowed this.☹️
Unclogging a drain, uncovering sidewalks, collection of trash, removal of large overgrown scrub trees and heavy weeds, thirough mowing of entire lot, edging. This community owes you both a tremendous debt of gratitude for performing all these backbreaking tasks that eliminated a security risk a health risk and an unsightly mess that no one else including the city bothered to address. Well done and a big thank you for your hard work, kindness, and attention to detail.
I hope the city compensated them with TAX money.

I sure do. I worked for my uncle for about 8 months before I went into the Navy in 1982. He'd just started his landscaping business and I was his only helper. We had very basic tools and equipment. I don't recall doing a job on this scale. We only did people's yards and such. Every now and then we'd have the break out the shovels, but not on this scale. We only worked for paying customers.

The city has no respect for the taxpayers that live in that neighborhood to begin with because those people are poor and they that lot grow up like that. You would not see that in an upper middle class to affluent neighborhoods.

You and I have driven around middle class and upper middle and affluent neighborhoods and didn’t see any yards or public property that looked like that. Now let’s be real. You have a nice day.
Love for your community is this. Days of hard physical labour to improve mobility for wheelchair users and other pedestrians, making an otherwise empty space look cared for! This town is lucky to have you both. Keep up the great work!
If this happened in a neighborhood that my dad lived in he would have done it by himself. Old school WWII Marine. That generation didn't need anyone to tell them it was the right thing to do, it was innate. Plus he loved his riding mower and probably would have used his 1930's tractor to pull things down and grade. Different mind set than people today. You two have restored my belief in mankind. I knew there were good people out there, just hard to find them somedays. Well done gentlemen 😊

well said. the problem with public workers is that they are paid the same whether they do a job or not. they would do anything to do it as slowly as possible, with less accuracy, and to pull through to the end of the week by staying in one place. unions are a great thing as far as care and safety are concerned, but they have also greatly lowered the level of a sense of duty and professionalism. private initiative is made up of people who really want to work and know how to do it well. greetings from Italy, Alessandro

I watch a lot of lawn transformation videos. This one is by far the best I've seen. Incredible hard work. Done really well. I hope some of the neighbors at least stopped to say Thank You. That was wonderful for the whole community. Maybe encourage others to do the same on their own patch of sidewalk.
