I think it’s because it really came from the left across his body, more to his advantage, both for time and angle. Several camera angles make it seem like it went straight from the keeper to him. Whereas it sort of went by way of the grassy knoll..héhé.. Just an opinion.

Happened to have some sardines in the house. Really enjoyed them just now😆 I never saw the ricochet to the player on Cantona’s left..it often looks like it came right to him from James. You can see The King cycling back to exactly the “lucky” spot. Not luck at all!
