Doors is a randomly generated Roblox based horror game about evil entities lurking behind doorways in an old hotel. In this video we take a look at each of the horrifying and not so horrifying monsters and entities found during our trip through this haunted hotel.

  • The guiding light actually does interact with the physical world, in door 50 the library it pushes over a lamp to distract the figure so the player doesn’t get killed.

  • Additional Notes regarding the A-Entities - All A-Entities are immune to the Crucifix and will still kill or damage you as if you weren’t holding the crucifix out. - A-120 has a chance of rebounding, so to make sure that it is safe to come out, try to listen for A-120’s thumping.

    • A-60 and A-120 are entities from the game "Rooms". A-120 had its name changed from A-200 to A-120. This information was gathered from the "Rooms" fandom page.

  • Rush can actually be quite helpful during certain sequences, during rooms that require memory, like Dupe, if Rush goes through he also triggers all fake doors leaving the actual door open and saving us from potential penalties if we should pick the incorrect door. Edit 4/1/23: This has to be the most likes I've ever gotten on KZhead. Thank you all!

    • im not sure if this is true but, i think rush can somehow “kill” eyes. in the greenhouse rush is very common and can spawn in any room even with another entity. so if eyes spawns in the same room rush spawns in, rush will somehow “kill” eyes and kinda help you out.

  • 10:13 Hide also prevents you from hiding after you get pushed out of a hiding spot by Hide for 10 seconds with the message “Something is stopping you from hiding…”.

  • Tips for new players: 1. You don't have to turn around going against Halt. Just walk backward 2. KEEP UR CANDLE, this helps during the greenhouse levels, there are no lights warning you of rush and he's quieter during these levels. The candle going out means he's coming 3. Seeks red light makes it seem like he's really close to you, but he usually isn't 4. If you know the figure is with a friend in a closet walk freely to speed up the process 5. Having another person with you can be really helpful 6. Figure is quick. You can't outrun them 7. If you're with others, callouts r EVERYTHING

    • Oh, and if there are multiple doors in one room, if you listen carefully, you can hear a rumbling like noise. You'll know the difference between the wrong and right room

    • To add to Tip 5, having another person with you in The Rooms is rather more problematic than helpful.

    • For Tip 2, if the candle goes out and you hear a PSST, you might alert the others to hide for no reason as Screech appears on one person, as candles warn the one player of if they are in danger. So Screech can make a fake Rush signal

    • For tip 1, The creator LSPLASH has changed the hallway. The reason is due to: Halt's speed has been increased so that you have to run the opposite way instead of walking backwards.

  • Guiding light also helps in the room when you first encounter the figure as it pushes over a lamp to attract the figure and you can see this by particals near the general direction of a fallen lamp

  • Just a small tip with Hide (and the door's time-lapse) The further in the hotel/run you are in, the quicker Hide will push you out. If you don't notice, the "get out" signs flash quicker and more faster than when you get them around door 14 per say. This can also mean the game showing how much more difficult it'll get, hence why the entities are most faster. Rush also comes more quicker compared to the start of the game, where it'd take atleast a good 20 seconds for his event go through, but when near door 80, its more of a 8 second event. Another good example of this is during door 50, where the more books you collect, the faster and angrier figure gets, making it harder to beat. You can actually run away from figure before collecting 3 books, where he speeds up past a player's maximum stamina, even with vitamins. It seems that the further the player goes in the hotel, the angrier and faster the entities become, making the difficulty and threats higher.

  • Extra-info: Before the update existed, Glitch’s job was to originally teleport the player back to their friends when too far behind. So Glitch was basically replaced by Void Also, Ambush sounds more like a race car instead of a distorted scream in my opinion

  • Something that I think would be worth mentioning is that the eyes that prelude Seek's appearance cause the lights to flicker, which can be a false alarm for Rush. However, Rush cannot spawn during this.

  • Tip for people doing the no audio challenge: to know if ambush is coming, look closely for slight colour shifts on the walls.

    • i remember when the colour shifted and i heard a noise, but that was the first time i played doors in a longgg time (last time i played was before hotel+) so i thought nothing of it. was in a call with two others, and i was gonna say, “isn’t that ambush?”.. and decided not to say it ended up with us 3 dying on door 80-something bc of ambush 💀

  • A fun fact about glitch; They can also spawn if you leave one player behind (about 6 or so rooms). This *does* cause damage to the player left behind, I think, before teleporting them to the rest of the group. Glitch also has a death message from guiding light (this may be from an earlier build though) saying something along the lines of "I can't figure out what you died to... try not to get separated." Corrections, of course, are welcome.

  • dupe also emits a subtle rumbling/grumbling sound, so if you forget which room you're in and you don't want to risk meeting dupe, carefully approach a door and listen also that's not water, but most likely gasoline/oil because it keeps burning after a spark sets it on fire and another secondary entity is called shadow it's very rare and appears with a loud harsh buzz it doesn't do anything

  • Of note for Ambush: Unlike Rush, he uses a ray tracing form of targeting you for the kill. Rush has to make physical contact with you. Ambush just needs to see you unhidden.

    • Actually, Rush also uses a raytracing methied, althoh because ambush is faster, it just seems like it. The in plain sight bage can be gottten w bolth

    • @@UltraCyborgno it’s just because rush has a hit box that gets bigger the farther you are in the hotel, the reason you can get it is because in some rooms, there are places where the hit box skips over you.

  • Just so some of ya'll know you can always know the difference between dupe and a normal door. walk to the door (safe distance) and if you hear a strange muffled roar that is dupe. Make sure to check both doors (unless there's is 3 door) look for a copied numbered door and go to the one which has a different number than the other 2.

  • Some other tips regarding dupe: Firstly if you sit near a door and hear what sounds like a form of rumbling or scraping or any sounds that aren't normally heard in the ambience then that door will most likely get you duped, the doors that dupe resides in also have a much smaller hitbox in comparison to normal doors.

  • I've been inching to play Doors for a while and the fact that there are more entities makes this game more terrifying. The lore is vague but I think that the more entities that are added to the game, the more lore we could possibly get. For now, I like the story that GH's has created, for those of you who know, you know.

  • Here are some tips for new players ! 1. When your doing Halts room, you can simply walk backwards instead of turning around! it takes less time and its more better. 2. U can actually hear the sound of Dupe breathing, but it will take a little bit of time to hear , so , in that case, i stand to the doors and wait to see if they open or not. 3. Always check the drawers! it can be helpful resources , such as flashlight or lighters . 4. You can either go behind a closet, either stand next to the closet (if the closets next to the wall) and turn ur head to the wall! If rush doesnt see you, it is impossible for him to get you. 5. If u saw the lights flicker but you didn’t heard rush or ambush, wait next to a closet / bed to be prepared if they’re coming. It takes less time and you also dont have trouble meeting hide.

  • Actually, you can survive Dupe if you forget the door number. *-When you approach the door that’s about to be “Duped”, you can hear slight growling (you have to have headphones for this though)* *-You can approach the wall on the side of the door and if the door doesn’t open, then that’s the wrong one*

  • Extra info: The rooms has another entity similar to guiding light called curious light who shines a yellow glow on exit doors in the rooms and gives unhelpful tips during the death screen

  • Y'know, there's something strange (at least, to me personally) about the Figure. After Room 50, they somehow managed to appear again on Room 100. Although the goblin dude does insinuate that the hotel is bigger than the players can explore, and although the Figure is faster than the player, it's still a bit odd how it got there besides that. Seek gets a pass, as they seem to shift through the hotel like some kind of liquid. Furthermore, in Room 100, Figure jumped out a window, only to appear not too long once you're done with the panel minigame, which doesn't take too long. All of this makes me wonder if there's more than 1 Figure in the Hotel. Even though I don't really like most of MatPat's theories, his one on Doors was fairly plausible. (For context, one of the things he basically said was that The Figure was an experiment.) So, who's to say that whoever made the Figure didn't stop at just one of them, and kept on making multiple of them? I dunno, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

  • Additional Notes -On very rare occasions, Jack can jumpscare you upon opening the next door and turning the room red -Timothy has a son named Timothy Jr. but doesn't appear in the game. only a ugc item -Bob is from a game made by the creator of rooms -El Goblino is the person who knocks on walls and pssts fake pssts -There are four secret entities, not just three. The fourth is Curious Light. A less helpful Guiding Light -Glitch used to do what Void did -Rush is slower in multiplayer -There are two entities that only the dev's can spawn. Troll and Baldcraft -Shadow is a secret entity that is super rare. 1/2000 chance -Three fanmade entities show up as paintings. Depth, Greed, and Silence -Rooms entities can show up in normal game after getting the tablet on A-1000 -There are 30 entities if we include Timothy Jr., The fanmade ones, the rooms ones, and the dev only ones. There are 24 if we count rooms and normal doors. 20 if we count normal doors only This is all I can remember. Comment if there is anything I missed.

  • Void’s role was originally owned by glitch because the room gets deleted once players are far enough to make the game’s randomization from going into other previous rooms on accident and also another entity, Jack is rare to appear in the door infront of you causing the next room to have blood everywhere which goes away after a few seconds or when you proceed to the next room

  • 2 entities you have missed: 1: shadow. it is a entity that just appears to scare you. It’s the rarest monster to appear. 2: curious light. It’s basically guiding light but it’s in the rooms. And it wont tell you tips or anything it cant show you anything. (Also guiding light is also the thing that gives you tips when you die). Hope this was a little helpful. 😊

  • He forgot the Curious Light, so here's some info: The Curious Light is the yellow light the guides the player They seem to be learning with the player saying things such as "Maybe try hiding" or "We could call this entity A-90" It's generally Curious as it only suggests things rather then actually tell how to do things It seems to always want company and usually says "see you later/again player" and wants to refer to the player as a friend.

  • Big fan of your content! I think it's also worth mentioning that after getting kicked out by Hide, you'll be unable to enter any closets for a short time. Also, when playing multiplayer, Glitch will appear and attack those that fall too far behind, dealing damage and warping them to the furthest player. At least, that was it's original purpose before it was replaced with Void.

  • Another fact for Jack, he can also appear on the next room/hallway and as a result, the room would be enveloped with red light. I am unsure, however, if he would only show up on dark rooms/hallways because when I encountered him, the room wasn't fully loaded and Screech was also showing up on the room where I encountered Jack.

  • There is actually something myself while playing Doors various times You actually have a lesser chance of being attacked by Timothy if you close the drawers back! I watched through videos of people always opening and never closing the drawers and then being attacked by Timothy multiple times- but when the drawers are closed back you might not even encounter Timothy in your play through- Though, take this with a grain of salt, because I may just be lucky with not encountering Timothy too much- It just seems like Timothy wants you to close back the drawers is all

  • There's also another entity just like Hallway Jack (yes Jack can also spawn in hallways and turn the room blood red for a few seconds before returning to normal), the entity is Shadow, basically jumpscared you without any harm and can cause the lights to flicker when Shadow is present when you enter the next room. According to the devs, Shadow might be having some kind of a hold of some lore for it but it's just it. So Great Video as always Mike!

  • Fun fact: if you get teleported too much by lagging behind in the OG Doors and dying, The Guiding Light cannot figure out who you died to. Edit 1: you forgot about shadow ,which has a 1/2000 chance of spawning idk if this is removed but I hope it has not been removed. Jack also appears in a room (NOT A CLOSET) having a 1/2000 chance as well as turning the room into what we call a "blood room", where the room turns red for a while but the rain stays red. I have met them both on 2 different runs. Edit 2: You too forgot about the room's guiding light counterpart or also known as the Curious light which is an orange light which plays a quiet version of the doors elevator song Pls comment down below whether you have seen Hallway Jack or Shadow in the Doors+Update

  • You've forgotten two entities: Shadow and Curious Light He has no name, but the community calls him "The Shadow Man". He has a very slim chance to jumpscare the player (like jack), but does no physical damage towards the player. He will appear standing ominously in the middle of the room for a split second with a loud static noise accompanying him. By dying in the Rooms, you'll be met by Curious Light. Curious Light will often be curious on how you died and will "try" to give you advice on how to beat the entity you died too. Unlike Guiding Lights helping the player in dark rooms, Curious Light will only be seen in front of exit doors that are scattered in the Rooms.

  • Hey Mike! I'm not sure if you know, but the entity that appears when you die to A-60, A-90 or A-120 (the one like Guiding Light) is called Curious Light. Curious Light is also the light at door A-000 and the spark in the painting that 'does not seem to have a title' in the room with A-000. Both Lights want you to get to the end but Curious Light doesn't really give hints to help like Guiding Light.

  • 5:36 another way of knowing which is the correct door, go to one of the doors, don’t stand in front of it, go to the wall which it is on and go right next to the wall, then listen for a rumbling sound, if you do not, it’s the correct door, if you do, go to the other door, that door is a Dupe Door

  • Also, in Doors, there are technically 6 main bosses in total #1. Seek | #2. Figure | *It is random if Seek or Halt comes first after door 50* #3. Halt #4. Seek || #5. The Greenhouse (Snare) #6. Figure || And “Window’s” official name is actually Sally. It’s also easier to call the Rooms the DLC of the game, since it was added later on as a secret you need to unlock to get into to.

  • I've encountered Jack ab 2 times, once in a closet and once in a room, which is called the blood room. It scared me pretty badly since it was pretty sudden but the room went completely red, and even outside of the window, the sky was red.

  • Fun Fact: Ambush was originally supposed to be from the same AI type as Jack, during the early development of the game, there were originally a group of Entities named "Mobbles". But when Ambush's AI was changed to what can be described as "Rush on steroids". Another Fact: Ambush's jumpscare appears for players that try to exploit the game.

  • Tips for The Rooms (Tips for how to get to 1000) First, know the entities: (They will not start appearing until you have entered that room number, or they might come really early or really late (I got a-120 at door A-167 once) A-60: Basically like rush, but has a red glitchy look and a red aura. When he comes, hide in a nearby locker. (He will make a glitchy sound effect that’s your cue to hide) A-90 An entity that appears on your screen when going near lockers, or just randomly sometimes. When you pops up on your screen you must stay still and not press anything. (So just stop what your doing) walking, crouching, or any other movement during his attack will lead to you loosing so much hp. A-120 - This one might seem hard to beat at first but it’s actually pretty simple. Now, when your in the rooms and yo walking toward the next room, you will here a light drum beat ( I don’t know how to describe A-120’s sound effect) or like stomping. A-120 will be coming through the next door your going to open ( For example you just opened A-129, he will be coming through A-130). You have about 10 seconds to find a hiding place from the previous room. There will always be a hiding place at the previous room if you encounter A-120. I also recommend for this entity to wait until you hear the audio completely stop. This is because he can rebound like Ambush in the hotel. But you won’t have to leave the locker in the the rooms and go back in, because there are no locker entities in the rooms. Now there some actual tips for making it to A-1000: - This does take 2-3 hours to complete, so I recommend having like a bottle of water or like any drink at the side so you don’t get thirsty while playing (a snack would be good to) - Wear headphones. This will really help you with hearing the cues to hide from entities, especially with A-120 because he’s a pretty quiet entity. - Don’t rush. Making it to A-1000 might sound exciting, and it is but you can’t rush it. Sometimes you might have to wait look 2 seconds to look where lockers are the room before the next ( if your past a-120 the room) - Bring a actual flashlight, and don’t use the shake light. The shake light and flashlight will both be useful for dark rooms, Just recommended using the flashlight. There will be plenty of batteries spawning within eat room, so your normal flashlight will stay full. (Also shake lights don’t use the normal flashlight batteries, they are powered by you shaking it. - Tag along a friend (Optional) Also, Candles don’t work and they do not go out when entities are nearby. The crucifix does not work on these entities. As a person who has beat a-1000, I am happy to answer anyones questions!! ❤❤

  • Just an addtional note on how to beat Dupe. You can do a few things, A. Wait to enter the room and check the number, it will not smudge until the player has fully entered. B. Check the door's opening range, I believe real doors have a wider range to open than Dupe's, but factcheck me on this one if you so please, or C. Just listen on a wall to check for growling and scratching noises.

    • Way 5 (the riskiest way) is to have Rush try to attack you. If he does, then all doors are opened. Even Dupe's. But the reason it's risky is that you have to be lucky that there's a closet next to the door you entered, the real exit, and Dupe, otherwise, Rush will MAUL you to death.

Next up glitch used 2 be like void until the hotel+ update, which is what u covered, but from what I seen deals 40 damage consistently and finally there is one more entity with the same chance to appear as Jack's blood room which is called shadow, who looks like a figure that is entirely a shadow. He appears for a second with a loud yet quick sound before disappearing like nothing happened. That's just some stuff I figured I might aswell add that u missed but the glitch thing is obviously no longer in the game as that role got replaced with void

  • the rooms is a reference to a roblox game with the same name, which is probably what inspired doors this game is either not well modeled or a classic game from long ago so thats some nice trivia and stuff for you

  • Fun fact:Before the Hotel+ update, void didnt exist and glitch was there just to do the same thing as him however that job was removed from glitch and void does that now and glitch could also do the thing when rooms dont load but his ability to send you back to teammates was removed and void ushas that ability now

  • Fun fact about figure: the more books you collect in there library, the more angry and fast he gets. When you open the library doors but stay in the library until those doors close, figure will come for you regardless. At this point he runs at Mach 1
