The amount of detail they go into even just for a music video shows the prowess and talent of these writers and animators. Barely found out about JIDs verse on this 4 days ago. This man never fails to surprise me with his word play and flow.
I love how Riot made Jinx so likable through her inner conflicts and guilt. There is no one-faced character in Arcane! Gosh even Silco or Marcus have their good sides.

She remains a kid who thought about doing well. She only saw the immediate danger of Deckard trying to destroy the door. It's her time that gave her space fort remorse and understanding, and most likely also the anger of knowing that she was "hold hostage" by Silco.
Thats how real human beings are normally. They arent black or white but different tonalities of grey. Arcane did a good job blending that concept with the fiction of the serie.

This is perfection. Jinx and Ekko's friendship was the best part of that series, and that series has A LOT of great moments.

It's crazy that this masterpiece was 2 yrs ago.
Just finished the series and it is absolutely terrific. Good blend of comedy and tragedy, the characters are very well written and the dynamics between them don't feel forced or out of place. I also love how they portray each character's viewpoints by using visual queues that match and explain their mentality without using words, from Jinx's manic panic attacks to Jayce's journey from a simple inventor to the man he becomes at end.

I listen to this song very often and just tonight did I realized what the true meaning behind it. Apparently this is Powder reminiscing the memories she had with Vi. Explains why Vander is nowhere to be found in the bar. This is Powder's final moments before she embraces "Jinx". She felt alone and had to fend for herself "Everybody wants to be my enemy", she did what she had to do to survive. All this time I thought it was nothing more than music video.

God, and the lyrics he put in, it seemed like that was less Jinx talking and more Powder trying to get out. I like the duality of the ending of his verse seeming like it got cut out and didn’t exactly fit perfectly with his last word and the choruses’ first word even though he set it up like that. Like how Jinx is constantly shown to switch and the difference between Powder and Jinx being so jarring and sudden
imagine dragons is my favorite band!
I got to know this piece at the point in my life when I was young and foolish, but the circumstances had me rapidly losing my youthful naivety. It spoke to me so much. Thus for me, this piece is about growing up and sacrifice. The kind of bittersweet reality of life: you get, you lose, with time you're stripped off your innocence, your dignity, your sense of invincibility. It feels like watching something die in you, and you're mourning, and you don't want to let go. But it also makes you feel you're experiencing life for the first time. And there is no coming back anyway, so you have to learn to walk again with this awareness weighing on you.
The Arcane intro is the only intro I never skipped because of this beast of a song and the Animation. Gave me goosebumps at the start of every episode.

Just wanted to comment this cuz I saw other ppl in the comments talk about it. Riot really made arcane realistically perfect, they really made the character's personalities realistic and everyone has a both good and a bad side. There's just some things in life that are meant to happen without a reason behind it or anyone that's blameable and riot really portrayed those moments in arcane perfectly. They made Jinx(or powder however u like it) likeable even tho she was completely messed up and same goes for vi and every other character. Damn even silco had his share of scenes in which he wasn't a complete dick. Even the villain of it all had a nice, fatherly side we could have been rooting for. So honestly, watching arcane was probably the best way I could have spent my free time. Thank you riot for the amazing job you've done.

So many people argued whose fault was the whole thing, when both Vi and Jynx had a reason and did their best, I also absolutely loved Silco, cause you know why he is a villain, but you see why he is a human, you can even argue about if he actually is a villain in the first place ! What the caracters of Arcane have which many don't is they aren't white or black, they all are shade of grey, you can see where they are good, and where they are bad

When you decide to watch Arcane, series based on a game, you expect easter eggs,homage and referrence to the game, but instead you get a story with deep layered characters, world building/expanding, political ideals and conflict in moral values. Plus the actions and animation is superb too. Got way more than what you ask for. Well done Netflix

Can we appreciate the art and the super deep meaning in this song. Like jinx’s story is actually realistic if you think about it. A child raised in a crime infested society, with no real parental figure at all. And you can see her slow decay into madness as the song progresses. And how that trauma still affects her. I really think this song is a real work of art while also conveying a deep story.

I remember watching this when it came out, was about 10 or 11 at the time and hadnt known about Arcane, all I thought was "Woah! Those are some cool OC's!! Nice characters and artstyle! OOOH THAT KID FLIPPED THAT GUY OFF!! :O" But now, 2 years later, Im 13 and have seen Arcane about 1 and a half times, which is saying ALOTT since I cant rewatch stuff for the life of me, but I love Arcane so much I was willing to try, loving this song and video even more, watching and listening to it on loop multiple times and singing along during the intro to the show. Keep up the amazing work Imagine Dragons!! Hope to see you again in season 2!!

My 18 year old daughter made me watch Arcane after we ate Thanksgiving dinner. We stayed up until 7am finishing the 1st season. Wow. I mean. Magical. Then I hear...enemy...I know that group? What an amazing collaboration. All the artists on this journey. So beautiful. All of them. I was Jimx my entire life. Now my enemy is Cancer. I need to live to see the 2nd season...please God, I need the 2nd season!!!!!!

After watching the whole series through, I am amazed. I’ve never played league at all, but I still loved Arcane. Powder/Jinx is such a weird, cool, badass character.

I only watched this series because of this music video. I've never played league of legends , nor do I ever want to, but watching this series was the best thing that ever happened. The writing, the animation, the art , the attention to detail, the symbolism, the depth of the characters , it's just beautiful.

@@galihriskipratama3631 I do watch alot of TV. All of game of thrones, dark, breaking bad, loki, peaky blinders, the oa, the Expanse, vikings, etc. Arcane is the best animated show this year, right next to Invincible.
As someone who has never played Lol, i enjoyed watching the series it also made me wanna play the game myself. These are the things a lore can do to games. It just adds flavors and the rivalries in the game itself.
If you don't have friends who actively play league, just play Legends of Runeterra. It has a much stronger connection to the lore than the main game and it'll save you a lot of nerve cells (and money). Although Arcane skins for the main game are dope, yeah.
