Haven't been to Botswana but somehow feel like I know a lot about it from reading "The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series by Scottish writer Alexander McCall Smith set in Gaborone. The main character is the "traditionally built" Mma Precious Ramotswe owner of "The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency", her assistant Mma Grace Makutsi, along with her mechanic husband , Ra JLB Matekoni, owner of "Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors"

  • Absolutely stunning, very moving! I just came back from my 2nd trip to Botswana a few days ago, and am already planning my 3rd trip back in about 6 months from now.
