So, earlier "the border is secure", now, "the border is as secure as it can be". Previously, Mayorkas said that: "the border situation is a challenge, not a crisis", now, "the border is a crisis". Explain yourself, Mayorkas!!! A reasonable & truthful man would say: that the border was not secure under the Biden administration and that caused a crisis brought on by Biden's EOs.

However, it is not a funding issue, it is policy issues. Mayorkas has technology and other assets that could be utilized but are not, and funding that can be used on border security, but is not. Reversing the policies that were working under the previous administration is a huge factor, as well as not following the laws that already exist. If border policies were enforced, everything past that should never even take place, if when people who cross illegally are dealt with as people who have already broken the law. Then the murders, rapes, drunk drivers who kill Americans, etc., would not be the end result of having a border policy that allows anyone who wants to, to come into the country with little to no vetting.

He never was a full on Conservative, but he was certainly more Republicanish than Democrat. Now I’m not so sure what’s going on with him. He always has been pretty consistent on border security. Don’t mistake my comment for liking the guy… I do not. Just giving him credit where credit is due.
