When Cohen was in court as a defendant, he was very well behaved, although when he started out he was trying to be protective of Trump. Once he realized that Trump was throwing him under the bus, of course, that all changed. Even then, he was polite and did not lose his temper in court or become belligerent or combatant. I think that the Cohen story is a very sad story, where an impressive young lawyer was hired by Trump thinking he had just landed the dream job of a lifetime, and bent over backwards to please his boss, doing things that he never dreamt of doing as a law student, but the rich and powerful Trump assured him that "this is the real world, everyone in business does these things ". After doing Trumps dirty dealings long enough it became common place to think like Trump, until Trump's cheating and fraud, got him in trouble, and then, as a twenty year employee, Trump dumped him and threw him under the bus. In many ways Trump did him a favour, because he got his life back and started to see Trump for what he really was. Trump was everything contrary to the person he had been raised to be. Coming from a home where honesty, hard work, ethics in life and business were paramount, then going to work for Donald Trump, destroyed all those values and beliefs, but Michael now saw beyond the glitter and assumed prestige of being the personal lawyer for a billionaire, and now recognized the scum he had wasted a large portion of his life on, for the criminal he was. Michael is smart, and will not throw this opportunity to see justice done thrown away, by a lack of emotional control.

He wants the gag order removed not to provide evidence that would exonerate himself, but so that he can slander, bully and give foolish nicknames to people who he views as a threat. And if he wants to talk, he should take the stand. He won't do that, because he has to be sworn to tell the truth and he's incapable of that.

Is there a NYS law that says you have to clearly state that an NDA has been acquired and you can't list it as a legal expense? Sure, if you don't explicitly state that the NDA has been acquired, it could easily mean that they don't want to put it on record by name, but is that illegal? It doesn't sound unusual for a lawyer to handle getting an NDA.

Daniels, along with former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, is one of two star witnesses in the first-ever criminal trial of a former US president. She told the jury Tuesday about a $130,000 hush money payment she received from Cohen before the 2016 election. Such payments are not illegal. But prosecutors allege Trump falsified business records to hide it and to mislead voters in an early bout of election interference. He’s pleaded not guilty. A transcript of the day’s proceedings revealed an exchange between Judge Juan Merchan and Trump’s attorney that had not been audible in court. The judge complained that the ex-president was “cursing audibly” during Daniels’ testimony and was shaking his head. “It has the potential to intimidate the witness and the jury can see that.” The judge told the lawyer, Todd Blanche, that he spoke to him at the bench to avoid embarrassing the defendant but that the behavior needed to stop. CNN’s Jeremy Herb, who was in court, reported that Trump was more engaged on Tuesday than at any previous moment in the trial. Trump was already on thin ice with the judge a day after Merchan warned he could face jail if he continued violating a gag order intended to protect jurors and witnesses. He did manage to avoid crossing the line while speaking to reporters in a courtroom corridor at the end of the day.
