I think they are doing it in the order of the books. The first book is the duke and I. Then it goes in order of age for the rest.

They are only named alphabetically. However, the seasons (and books) are in the order of who got married first. In the regency era, women were more likely to be married at a younger age than men. Hence Daphne at age 20 is married before Anthony at age 29.

I read all 8 Bridgerton books by Julia Quinn and loved them ALL! I am so glad to see the book series adapted to film, and so beautifully done by Shonda, who added a richness and depth to the TV series. Well done, ladies!
Poor Anthony, always seen as the bad guy. In the book he was portrayed as the guy with responsibility. That's why Simon shot into the air during the duel, Anthony had a family to take care of. Instead of taking a shot for himself. I hope season 2 will be good, just like Simon said at the end, he won't learn about love when finding a wife, just the opposite marriage Anthony's parents had.
I read the whole Julia Quinn series 4 times! Imagine how thrilled I was to discover a movie about they Bridgertons.......I have watched it 20 times! Just might watch again today! My heart is broken that Rage is not continuing! But I guess the show MUST go on! Can't wait for second installment! Been trying to figure out what they will do without the Duke....how will they carry on, especially since he has parts in the other series..( I particularly love the Elise book, when all 4 went to rescue her) For past 40 years, I wondered why someone had not looked at the romance novels...there was a wealth of great story lines, and know, Shonda Rhymes has done it! Hats off to you Shonda!!!

How desparate to act like Rege got a son just to watch your channel
This series is amazing. There’s not anything I didn’t like about it! I loved something about every single character! Of course the chemistry between Simon and Daphne is amazing, as is it between Anthony and Siena! The costumes are amazing, but I loved the dances. Even though the dancing is/ was an acceptable way for couples to be together in those times, I think the dancing is very sensual. All the bowing, and touching and being close together was beautiful and intimate even in a room full of people.
I love the heart of duke of sime and dapne the frist season will comeback to in this time 2 season and 3 of show .
