I am a very scientifically minded person, very skeptical and cynical. Yet I like to watch tarot videos because to me it's just one of the many ways to get in touch with my feelings and do some self reflection and introspection. All very psychological. To me that is the real magic.

I'm the same, but the other day I was doing a quick reading and I accidently peaked at my first card so I thoroughly reshuffled and I put down the exact same card
I was like you. I have a degree in Applied Microbiology and a Degree in Nursing (Mental Health). Both have a lot of emphasis on research. I also have an interest in quantum physics. Quantum physics is interesting especially if you read the research on what the Russians term as the Torsion Field or to take into a fictional context Dust / Rusakov Particles. There are some strange things in Quantum Physics. If you haven't already read the Russian research there's some interesting stuff in there.

I found a wooden box in an abandoned house. It's beautifully painted and says on its front in painted letters "see beyond fear and look at the world with love" I opened it to find an entire deck of taro (the one in this video) a mat, and hand written directions. I took it as a sign to learn, so here I am

Curtis Steele I don’t mind the speed in which she talks. Some people on KZhead talk way too fast and slur their words. It’s hard for someone like me who speaks more than one language.
I get that sometimes the way you’re talking makes more sense when you edit the sentences together to make it more clear I just am confused by all of the (otherwise really good) aesthetic b roll added in at seemingly random disconnected times. Overall insightful message though!

So I just got my first tarot deck the other day and I’m excited for this honestly . I been doing self readings and surprisingly it isn’t as hard as it looks . As a beginner I must applaud myself on how well I can understand the cards but that’s thanks to the guidance book . Long story short if your someone that’s looking into starting tarot I say go for it !! Remember this is for you and no one else !! (Unless you decide to do it on others) but I suggest you practice on yourself first !!

“78 Degrees of Wisdom, a Book of Tarot” by Rachel Pollack is highly recommended to anyone who wishes a detailed study of the history and meanings behind the images in the classic Pamela Coleman Smith/Arthur Edward Waite tarot deck.
As a person growing out of a strict Christian/religious household this kind of stuff is very taboo and looked down upon because they shun of practices but I’ve always felt so drawn to it and love metaphysical studies so much since I discovered it on my own one day on KZhead. This cleared up a lot of basic questions I had and help a lot. Thank you! 🙏🏼

I actually did a ancestry dna test done and found links to our relation. Then came to find out i didn't even need to pay the money for all that because my nana had done crazy amounts of genealogy studies and has pages and pages of family tree data of our sir name (her husband, my grandfathers, last name) she was able to trace as far back as 1356 in england. Mind you she had been searching all this information with in a 40 year span of time.

@@enigma4200 hi! I believe tarot is not 100% accurate, is more based on predictions in a way and just guidance on a topic for example. But you probably won’t get information for example about that person life. You can get spiritual information, for example, if that person is struggling, or is trying to self improve etc, you could also read is the person has a love interest for example. It’s all depend on the intend on the reading, and I believe you should always have the other person present with you, whether that is virtually or physically. Make sure that person wants to get their tarot reading tho. Hope this helps!
The lady who I bought mine off, told me to just look at the imagery on each card to understand what they represent... I learnt them pretty fast :-)
So this is really funny, I was shuffling my cards and as soon as you had mentioned the fool, a card had turned sideways during shuffling and it was the fool.

Love this thank you for taking the time to create and help. I had a deck for years but never touched it. I just wasn't ready I needed to heal first. Now I'm ready. Im tired of looking to others and outside myself for a reflection to help me . so I have come here. As I'm feeling drawn to begin learning And reading my own reflections in the deck. This will help me not be dependent on others which is a huge shift for me!
I have had a deck that I was drawn to because of its art (the Orion tarot deck) it’s gorgeous. And many many months after first seeing them I was in the position to and got some. These cards are my favorite item I own. They have a bit of personality and they can be so blunt and it’s wonderful. I love to learn what more people think and the meanings of the cards for people. I want to get more decks some day. I have so much love for tarot and I’m trying to learn more. I’m still studying them and learning. Sometimes my intuition helps tell me what a cards telling me and I check in with the meaning it gives me and it normally includes what I was thinking about it’s so interesting. I really connect with mine

I met a guy today, and we literally hit it off within 5 seconds. Later on he asked me my zodiac sign, and when I told him I was a Sagittarius he was like "well, that explains it, I'm an Aquarius". It's so crazy, but myself and Aquariuses always have the best time together, and I honestly do believe in that stuff. tarot is so cool... I just got my first deck yesterday and i looked through it, read the little pamphlet with each card and what they meant as I went through, cleansed each card, placed it under some crystals to charge. today I did an interview spread and it basically told me its here to teach me and guide me but it will make me work through some things and maybe sometimes wont give me the best advice. at the end i realized i forgot to knock before I started so i pulled a card. it was the three of swords. it basically told me its fine but dont forget again. thats my little story

I started tarot in high school with the Celtic dragon deck, forget the author. Lost them in Afghanistan in 2012. Last spring I came across the Crow Tarot by MJ Cullinane. I absolutely LOVE this deck. It is so sassy and rudely honest! Spot on readings from day 1, I will never part with it ❤

Another Bobbie!!! We are a rare breed indeed. I have also been drawn to tarot cards most my life. I am an artist and for years been contemplating making my own illustrated set. I only play with personal readings for my own problem solving, guidance and healing. I am not confident enough to read for anyone else. I like that there is an entirely secular and rational interpretation of how these cards can work embedded in here, if you pay attention. These cards are symbols and stories of behaviors, archetypes, and cognitive perspectives. It's much like using images to create your own dream (ambiguous message with symbols) to interpret and consider how it might apply to your life. We do this with everything to movies and fortune cookies, so if it is an access point for meditation and introspection, I think it could be positive. Anyway, my two cents as someone who is on the more skeptical, cognitive-behavioral end of things.

Honestly before having my first deck, I am very intune to my intuition. Like I've been working on my manifestation or intuitions for a long time. By the time I started reading my 10th card displays I can feel the emotions of it. I sometimes asks the deck question I already know just to make sure I can read. And the results are actually accurate by the time I checked on the internet. Tips: people with water moons, or other scorpio, aquarius placements might find reading these cards easier.

Thank you for an excellent introduction to Tarot. I've been collecting decks intermittently over many decades. To be blunt, decks with the most beautiful male characters tend to catch my eye. I do find myself returning to contemplate with The Thoth Deck, however. The cards jealously guard their secrets--or perhaps they shield themselves from the toxic haze of my nihilistic outlook--but I can acknowledge and appreciate the aesthetics of the imagery.
I had a concern about reading cards about other people and their lives - Is it possible to get accurate answers from tarot if you read for a person who you never talked or seen in person like can i read cards for a guy I'm attracted to ?

I am 52 yrs old. When I was in my 20s, I felt drawn to the golden dawn tarot. As of late, I have been looking for my cards but couldn't find them i felt so drawn that I purchased another deck. I dont know what is driving this draw to the cards. But I'm just going to go with it. And I'm not an impulsive woman. But more than that, I feel drawn to you to remind me how the cards speak. I’ve never done tarot before and I’m just trying to learn so this was super informative and I took two whole pages of notes! I only have a deck of playing cards now but I want to get a deck.
