It is one of those interviews that just backfires terribly for the one conducting it. This woman’s brilliance is so underrated, she is quick at catching subtle gestures and phrases. She doesn’t back off easily, she is elegant and has class. She knows how to give it back. She has to be the brand ambassador of women empowerment.

So, what she does not know malnutrition, stunting and wasting exist abysmally in India? This is the same way the govt denounces the hunger index because it takes into account the malnutrition, malnourishment and stunting data, along with under 5 mortality as well as Infant Mortality Rate. This kind of third grade theatrics should be done in her saas bahu serials. I would have still give her the benefit of doubt, had she not become a flying bird to avoid questions on LPG price rise amidst stagnating incomes. Her govt has tampered every metric in terms of data projection, they want to include street hawkers in the employed category. They change metrics of poverty calculation. If she has some iota of respect left in her she should have protested the minute the Manipur girls were stripped and raped and a crowd of 100 imbecile men paraded with them. Why does she not speak about Hathras victim, Kuldeep Sengar, Swami Chinmayanand, the IIT student that got raped, or Brij Bhusan. Not to sound anymore cliche, I mean she was the one that actually backstabbed her friend who helped her and gave her shelter in times of crisis, but she eloped with her friends husband. I mean how awful can that be.
Its the inverse her education is marred with irregularities.

Smriti akka is absolutely sharp with her facts and figures! I expected the unbaked & patchy information Brut interviewer has is on a wide display! I have worked in public health in India with various agencies and now with the ministry, whatever she is saying about nutrition has been true regarding lack of standardization and even understanding the ethnic differences for wasting & stunting. Women & Child health receives over 70% of the annual health budget in most states.. Regarding menstrual leave policy also she has current projection. I give you a real life example which Manoj jha cited; I worked for dept of health in Bihar, they had provision for menstrual leave but when I asked why my female colleague (who was having difficult cycles) didn't use these leaves, she said the exact same thing:" mam I don't want to let people know when I bleed"
