300 000 years ago, a new species of man appears. He is to be our most direct ancestor. He sets out to explore the land and seas. He adpats to every climate, finds ways to survive, tames of surrounding forces, pushing himself to the limit. He invents art, hunting, agriculture, livestock farming, writing even medecine. His imaginantion transports him to the world of invisible.
What is his true story, how exactly did he conquered the planet, how did he lay the foundation of our existence? Homo sapiens is coming, he will change the face of the earth.

  • Sitting here in bed, under the covers, because I have the AC turned down low watching this video on my iphone, while the DVR is paused, wondering if I want chicken fajitas or steak fajitas for supper. Always wishing I had some thing else or more. This video is super powerful and a REAL eye-opener. We take SO much for granted. We have it made, and don’t even realize it. Awesome documentary, and very opening!!! Cheers to all our brothers and sisters out there!

  • There is so many people from all over the world who have watched this and to know where we came from and where we are today makes you wonder where did we go wrong?! My ancestors lived this way of life for many generations, we lived a simple way of life, we only took what we needed to survive. Yes other tribes were my ancestors rivals only to make sure the next generation of people lived to the next season.   • I assume this documentary is about 25 years old now, it would be fantastic to have a remake with the current scientific understandings that H sapiens and neanderthal were merely subspecies of H erectus (along with H denisovin and probably H. Heidelbergensis ) and unions led not just to offspring but fertile offspring. It's also now believed that dogs evolved at least 20 thousand years ago.

  • This was really quite beautiful. Obviously there's a need to draw the dots between large periods of time in our history without anything other than small fragments of evidence. There was also a need to truncate large passages of time for the sake of pacing. But on balance it captured the way in which humanity has come to be in an authentic and plausible way. I felt connected to the humans in this film and to our shared participation in the journey of humanity. Credit to the film makers. Life - what a bloody mystery and a miracle.

  • Do not forget to thank each other, at our population size as well as differences of ones own histories that for the most part we do come together and protect our progress as individuals and cultures. Of course there will always be those individuals that must do a "look at me" dance in times of crisis remember in our nature those who walk loudly are extinguished. For most it is in the sense of survival for all and to defend the future for those not even born, that is truly an amazing story.

    • Чушь конечно, но занятно. Италия прародина? ХаХа Альпы сапиенсы штурмовали. Поржал. Еще топор не придумали, но сделали плот. Побрились и испачкались. Обезьянки конечно у нас редкость. Но посмотрите на них в зоопарке. Они полжизни проводят в чистке шорстки и прихораживании себя. Помню обезьянник в Абхазии. Стадион сотни шимпанзе. Бегают и кричат. Экскурсовод сказал, для них это норм. Если надо кого-то утилизировать. Ему ставили метку. Обычно на спине известкой пачкали. До утра обезьян не дожиивал, Стая получала протеины и микроэлементы. Иногда оставалось от тушки только голова и странно, лапки. Профессор рассказывал, или религия, или они ждут огня. Хрустящие пальчики и жаренная бошка вкуснее.

    • Был там альбинос. Шкура у него обычная, но выглядел шимпанзенок совсем по другому. Поэтому его и отделили. Иначе его бы убили. Вряд ли вы видели вольника борца без трико. Ентот трехлетний обезьян круче мастера спорта. Если бы захотел, то вырвал руку моментально и в бошку не пришло бы. Энтот прием хитрый хотел провести.
