    • Agree. Stevie G is a liverpool legend. The fella has so much credit in the bank for what he has done for club on the pitch, that he will never blamed or held accountable for that slip. Small mistakes lead to big moments in football. IMO we lost the league that year in the games following YNWA

  • He will be remembered as a great player. It could have been a little bit greater had he led Liverpool to the league title. But if that slip eventually manages to drive him on to become a great manager, I'm sure he really won't care maybe a decade or two down the line about that afternoon at Anfield against Chelsea. Also, these podcasts are such a joy to listen to! So much more refreshing than the usual one on one interviews.

  • Steven Gerrard is the greatest Manager in Scottish football history. The enormity of his achievement can't be realised by people south of the border. During his time at Ibrox, due to endless legal battles, Rangers haven't even been able to bring in revenue by selling their own replica kits.

It hurts watching him still in pain over that slip but the real loss that blew it was throwing away a 3-0 lead with 10 mins to go at crystal Palace and draw that was the real slip up.
