  • I loved this video, it brought back my childhood memories when I used to wonder around in my little backyard forest (and I’m 78 years old now) you are truly a gift to all sharing your adventures. . .thank you

    • ❤So true. I always ran barefoot and slept in the woods growing up as a child, (52 years old now). Recently I have been pulled to venture into my backyard which is a thick forest. I just have a little fear...because we have a Mama black bear with two cubs that comes through the yard constantly. You DO NOT want to startle a mama bear...also a lot of coyotes, bobcats, fisher cats...and so much more (A mountain lion was spotted recently) ...😊I think I will venture, but be really noisy about it and also bring my beautiful dog Haley with me...(She is very protective of me. She is 130lbs, Mix breed I rescued). I know she will know if something I shouldn't disturb is nearby.

  • That mug/cup/bowl is a "guksi" we have them in Scandinavia and Russia (Sapmi) Traditionally made from a birch burl. A lot of tradition on how to make, use and clean them (not to damage them) Every man, woman and child has one (often plastic these days and they can be used and cleaned as any plastic) and they have been around for a very long time. Thank you for yet another beautiful video. Greetings from Sapmi

  • If you put moss in a glass jar/bowl, a like bit of water just to keep the humidity right, and seal the top, even with just plastic wrap, it keeps and grows a long time. 😊 I did this at my parents' house Christmas 2022, and when I went to see them again this January, it was still doing great. They live across the country from me, so I don't see them often.

  • Dearest Alwyn, I’d love to thank you so much for being such an inspiration to me. I’ve been stuck in such a rut I haven’t really left my house. I watched this lovely video in its entirety and you’ve inspired me to go exploring again . I live in a suburban neighborhood but just outside was a creek I’ve always wanted to visit. I didn’t know how to get there( the neighborhood is new and the maps are very inaccurate) at one point I sat down and gave up. I don’t know what prompted me to walk around some more but I did and I found it! It was as if by magick because I had no idea where I was going for once I listened to myself and I even found my way home and my phone was dead it was quite incredible. It was like all of a sudden I had a sense of direction which I never do! (I don’t know this area at all I never leave home) I took a stuffed animal with me because I was afraid of exploring alone and I wanted eyes behind me I’m just so proud of myself I can’t wait to go back 🔮

  • This video, truthfully, made me somewhat emotional. Alwyn, i lived in the redwood forests of northern California's coast for a short 3 years while going to school there. I had never in my life felt so happy to live in a location. There was a sacred forest behind a bog that i visited often. I would lay down in the moss with my bare feet in the flowing creek, with a gateway just as your creek has. I felt my most connected to the world in that forest. Now, living 5 hours away from there, my heart aches daily for its comfort. One day i will return to my sacred grove and it will be the same as I left it, always flowing, nature's sentinel.

  • This video was pure magick! Thank you for all your passion and creativity in making it and thank you so much for sharing this! I was thrilled when I saw that branch with the wild honeysuckle? Overhere it is a very old custom to make a 'goastok' (I'm from the netherlands) from it. They used it to go to the neigbours knock on the door with it and tell them about a birth or a death or a wedding. Or any important occasion. They decorated it with flowers or green matching with the occasion! It was also used for a pilgrimage or a quest. I loves to see that it's very rare nowadays! ❤️

  • I just love your channel ..... The way you practice witchcraft and yes being who you are reminds me so much of my own way of being. However, I am about to be an older witch now, but your energy helps me to start my own and remember that the simple life in nature is the most nourishing. Today I am 54 years old, but already in my earliest childhood I was enchanted by nature and the creatures that live in it. My health is not what it should be, but I know the importance of getting out into nature as often as possible... although winter often makes it too cold to stay out there for a long time, I do my best to get out... I live as a witch myself,... most of the time as a solitaire, but also in a coven of witches... In 2009 I founded a coven of witches called moonsisters here in Denmark where I live... We have ever since made small picture films and now yes more than just small films from our collections... and also have a channel... For me it is just so enriching to see others also create as much magic in life as possible. .. So I just want to say that it is a pleasure to watch your movies... sending you Love end light

  • My favorite place to connect with nature is Frog Bay Tribal park which is a First Nation park from where I live in Wisconsin. They have a take nothing policy so most of it is in its natural state allowing to connect with the land as is

  • My favorite place was the one that looked like a 'sea' of rich, green moss; my favorite part was when you 'listened' to the fae about what they wanted you to gift them with - the nest fort - and what they had gifted you with - the mini cone on your coat. I too "hang' with the fae - the gnomes and elves whose home bases are the waterfalls near my remote home deep in a vast forest.

  • How much I love watching your magical fairy life… I love that moss gate you found and your granny willow tree. ❤ Oh and the view of the forest that looks like a fake backdrop. You should take a picture of it and blow it up. Like huge…to make it a wall background in your home. Or create a wall paper and sell it!

  • I've been on a healing journey and sought advisement to seek what I was like prior to the years of abuse and trauma I endured. I remember. It took time of healing and quietness. I remember now being a little girl, roaming the woods, staring at trees for hours. Stare at trees out windows wherever i was too. I loved rocks, gems, crystals, and was drawn to fae and fantasy. Sadly though I was brought up in a strict christian household and was routinely abused and told I was going to hell for loving the "occult". I took on the shame for decades, confusion why family would say things like this to me, so does family do that? I believed wrongly for years that I was evil and bad. I FINALLY know that is not true! I was lied to. I was kept back from my true self. I know now, and I was brought to your channel and this video. I reminded me of my journeys to the woods as a young girl, my spirituality has always been with Nature. 💚

  • Thank you for this video! You care deeply about the forest, and I want to encourage you to keep learning about how to be a good keeper of such a sacred space. In my area, honeysuckle and ivy (the green climbing up the trees) is highly invasive due to their lack of insect predators and spreading/strangulation of native trees and ground plants. I do invasive species removal at my local park. By removing them, you help to create space for the native plant species which your local insects and animals have evolved to rely on. Sometimes invasive species are beautiful and have benefits, but to be a good steward it's important to nurture your local native environment and enjoy it's blessings as well. ❤ not sure if these things are invasive in your area, just thought you'd like to know since you researched honeysuckle!
