@@Dontayeee Actually, Bob countered with his forearm, a much smaller area than Vasilevsky's trap. Although this does not diminish Vasya’s merits.
Canuck fan here saying that until today...Demko's doing the splits save was easily the best save of the playoffs so far, and then this happened....now this is easily the best save in the playoffs so far and probably will be the best at the end of the playoffs too, holy moly!

As a lifelong Sabres fan who grew up during the Hasek era, I can confirm that Bob channeled his inner Dominator to make that save!
As a lifelong Wings fan, I watched Hasek win 2 Cups with Detroit along with his crazy goaltending antics.

This is the most Hasek like save Ive seen since the man retired. Every bit of effort, doesnt matter what you gotta do or how ugly it looks, any part of the body any way you can, keep that puck out of the net. What a save.

I love how the vowel from the audience noise changes at the exact moment of the save. From the shot to the save, it's the vowel of "oh no they scored against us", but then it changes to the vowel of "that was indeed a rather admirable save".

The funny thing is that Dumba would've scored if he had just put it along the ice. It was a backhand shot though so pretty hard to keep from raising it especially with it all happening so fast. What a save though!
