  • Another great video in this series, well done. Question on shore fishing vs kayak. Do you change up the spots you target to cast and/or any changes to your retrieve? I know you favor the gulp on a jig head, with a kinda twitch, twitch reel retrieve most of the time. Seems quite effective.

    @thomasmaggio9599@thomasmaggio959911 ай бұрын
    • Thank you! But yeah, I really fish the same areas most of the time. We have so much of it here. Shallow water creeks, rarely over 15ft deep or so. So the basic retrieve I use all the time works everywhere. Except sometimes strong currents or wind can affect the retrieve. In that case, I just use a slightly heavier weight/jighead to get the bait down. The main goal overall, be in contact with the bottom or very near the bottom.

  • Another great video! It took me forever to figure out where the ‘wall’ was on Day 2 spot 2, but I finally found it on Google Earth. I usually turn left on my boat heading toward S. Creek before going down that channel, but I’ll have to try it during high tide next time. You’re welcome to join me! I have a 16’ 2002 Hewes. It was fun figuring out all the spots. I’ve been to all of them, except the wall,on my boat and during high tide. ( I hate to admit it, but when I was first fishing on my boat, I got stuck at one of the spots during low tide-it was a long day!)

    • Thanks brother! But yeah, google earth is such an amazing tool to find fishing spots. I’ve always seen the wall while on a boat, but finally took the effort to find it on foot. Pretty cool place💯. But you’re not joking about that area at low tide. I’ve fished it so many times, from my own boats/friends boats, and low tide is always sketchy af. Seems like the channels are always changing too😓 Have gotten out and pushed boats countless number of times lol. I even had to get rescued once in my gheenoe😅😂

    @LeeLee-ys4xm@LeeLee-ys4xm7 ай бұрын
    • It's really not about the bait, color, size, etc for flounder. It's guessing where they like to lay depending on the water movement, tide, depth, location, etc. Everywhere is different. If you get any bait near them, they'll eat it. That being said, I like any natural color baits with some sort of wobbly tail. Good luck out there!

    @zaccutshaw2714@zaccutshaw2714 Жыл бұрын
    • Generally, best tides for the creeks in our area are last few hours of outgoing tide and first couple hours of incoming tide. That's especially true if you're targeting redfish & flounder. But there are so many other factors, that's just in-general. So difficult to figure out where the fish are at different tide stages. But as long as the water is moving, they should be feeding.
