  • What I don`t see many people mention is how tough this guy is. He lead the league in throws under pressure multiple seasons. The Falcons had some very poor o-lines for a lot of those years. This guy should be a first ballot HOF.

    • I always think about 2 plays/games when I think of Matt Ryan's toughness. The first was that game against the Lions when he got stepped on and it looked like his ankle snapped in half. He missed 1 play, came back in the game and threw a strike to Harry Douglas on 3rd and 10 for a 1st down. The other is the Panthers game in 2012 when he got sacked 7 times but still kept chunking it deep including the final drive when he hit Roddy to setup the game-winning FG.

  • Watching this brings back some memories. Also, look at how many of these are TD passes that traveled more than 30 yards in the air and yet the haters tried to routinely hate on Ryan's arm. No, he didn't have the stronger arm but he was one of the most accurate deep ball throwers in the NFL during his career. He routinely ranked top 10 and sometimes top 5 in completion percentage on throws that traveled 30 yards in the air.

Probably a result of Atlanta never giving this man a real defense. We went to a superbowl with 5 first year starters on defense. His O line had a couple greats on it, but its always had a hole or two and they got exposed frequently. The majority of Ryans seasons he was one of the most hit QBs in the NFL, but the man always got back up. Vick messed up and we drafted this lanky QB out of BC and he came out gunning.
