    • Alex, just keep watching Robert. Before you know it, you'll be inspired enough to go to Texas and hunt a hog, or whatever state you are in, if there is hog hunting there. When you are successful in your hunt, *refer to this video* to help you. It's the best cleaning tutorial I have seen. Best wishes, and let us know when your hog hunt video is up! If you need help, go to my channel and tell me. My wife and I are stuck at our house in Mexico since February, and all the hunting I've done has been on our ranch here... But by phone, we can help you with where to go, maybe even help you collaborate on a hunt with other KZheadrs I know. Praying for you and your family to be safe through this Covid nightmare. God bless.

I had uncles and cousins who hunted, fished, but never one took the time with me or my brother. I would love to have this knowledge. This is why I watch shows such as yours Robert. I get to enjoy the hunt,actually watch you clean them,and store or cook them. But she did a bang up job. WAY TO GO!!! It took a lot of guts to do this on camera for your first time. And Robert I was really impressed how you taught her without calling her names or making fun of her. So where is Sarah and the kids? I really enjoy your family times as well. God Bless, and thank you for saying grace and giving thanks to God no matter what anyone else's may say.

  • This is amazing! Growing up my father always paid a local business to process our deer. It's not a bad thing to support local business, and we didn't have a large enough family to eat an entire deer. But videos like this show the connections between your kill and your dinner. It shows responsibility (not wasting any of the animal) and gets your closer to your food. Even if i never end up cleaning my future kills with my children, I hope to at least pass on these important lessons to them.

  • I learned how to clean a 350lb Barr at night in weather that was like 45 degrees on the outskirts of Immokalee, FL. I had little to no instructions on how to do it, while my dads buddy sat there telling me to clean it as he supervised. As I watched this video, it is picture perfect to everything that i learned how to do through many deer and hog cleanings. The ball and joint method is preferred as it does not create any jagged edges to perforate a plastic bag that you may put the meat in for storage till you take it home and process it further. There is one thing that this video doesnt explain to the viewer, is that sense of touch and feeling is a major part in cleaning any animal.

    • Actually his last failure to show his approach to gutting, after using a misleading clickbait title, was the last straw for me, so I am done BITCHING about his sloppy work. I don't watch his postings anymore, and my hunt crew shares that sentiment. We are all unsubscribed. There are numerous other channels that show complete harvesting to butchering that KZhead does not have a problem with. So your point in his defense is quite empty, or at least ignorant. So stay safe and enjoy your hunts in the back of your butcher's shop. Also, it's hard to respect a man, or is it a boy, that attacks my view while hiding behind an alias.

    • @@surfin766 : Are you not familiar with the content on Rob's channel? He has plenty of SEPARATE videos that show the entire process. Are you such a twisted type that you must see the evisceration of every single quarry? I have seen Rob process these animals, and I mean to say the ENTIRE process: Deer (multiple vids), Hogs (again, multiple vids), Various Fowl, Squirrel, Various Fish and Crustacean as well... If you unsubscribed, then I feel for your loss.You're really gonna miss out on some good shows. If you talked others into unsubbing, then I hope they soon get over the resentment they will surely develop for you. My wish for you is that you find whatever you are seeking, and that it augments your personal development in a positive manner. Good luck...

  • Hey Rob, not sure if you do this off screen or not, but something I learned as butcher, for hogs, is take a 5 gallon bucket with about 3-4 gallons of water and take the lid from a bottle of bleach and put two cap fulls in the water and scrub the hog thoroughly and rinse before skinning. It helps remove dirt and kills skin parasites.

I've never processed a hog, wild or otherwise. All that's going to change though. There comes time when you have to return to your roots. Texas and Oklahoma are overrun with wild hogs and it's time to get back to doing the outdoors stuff I used to love. Can't wait to take my first hog! I did live in Florida for a spell, near Saint Augustine. I wish I'd known about your guided hunts while I was out there. • Kind of late watching the video but it just popped up on my KZhead, I think she did a fantastic job. She definitely qualifies for an apprenticeship in butchering. Great video I watched all your new ones so I guess that's why this one popped up. God bless, Alabama Jimmy

  • My dad only hunted a few times and it was all before I was born or while I was still like 3 years old. So he never took me or taught me how. Thanks for this video, it helped me prepare for my first hog hunt.

  • I'm a big fan of your KZhead channel. Watching your video helps me alot when it comes to catch and clean properly. Though I've never cut a wild hog nor deer. Though I'm always ready to learn hands on.

    @joshuagarza2328@joshuagarza23284 жыл бұрын
  • Just one hog and you can see her confidence with the knife improve. Making longer strokes and committing to the cut because she now understands how to work the knife against the bone. I haven't gutted a hog. A lot of fish and birds but not a large mammal. I hope I do as good a job on my first go if I ever get the chance.

  • Fantastic job. Only tip is to let the knife do the work. More slicing and less pushing.

  • This missed the MOST important part, how to remove the organs without ruining the meat, from what i know, if you make a mistake, the whole meat is ruined

    • I have stripped and cleaned, seasoned and roasted hogs numerous times out in the wild while hunting with my father, Idk who said that to you but I never heard anything above the meat being ruined due to the organs. If you're afraid of some type of disease or bacteria I can assure you that roasting the meat on fire will kill any bactéria, I never got sick
