To start off the new year, I'm partaking in #project333 in which my wardrobe will consist of only 33 items, including clothing, accessories, shoes and outerwear, for three months. My goals with this challenge are to break my belief systems of "needing options" as I work towards a more sustainable approach to fashion, accept that less can absolutely be more and challenge myself creatively when it comes to sharing outfits with you.

I think it’s fine to customise the 333 to you, with jewellery counting as “1” piece. I tried to do Project 333 last year and it worked for my summer capsule perfectly. But I live in the UK and doing this in colds months felt way too restrictive. Now, I am trying the 10x10 challenge, but I modified it to 10 main clothing pieces (excluding shoes, accessories and outerwear) and I found d I can wear these for way more than 10 days and it lasts me a month. So, I am just doing this on repeat now in 2024 and I think eventually I’ll find my favourite pieces to wear year round this way and cut the rest. Bravo to slow fashion, wearing more, buying less, and saving time in the morning!!

definitely going to give this a shot this year, i already have a fairly minimal wardrobe, but i know i could cut it down more. i recently started working in retail so i really want to instill this more minimal mindset around shopping, bc it is of course tempting when you’re surrounded by cute clothes all day to buy more, and when you’re expected to have a new and exciting outfit every day.
Yes I agree! I worked at Aritzia for a little bit and it was a struggle not shopping all the time. You can do it!!
I totally appreciate that you don’t mention where you got the clothing from/brand names! Sometimes these videos from other creators can feel more like a haul or an ad which is the opposite of what us low buy people need right now :)

I thought I decluttered enough beforehand. But I have restarted the process 4 times, Because Idk what to have. Since, Texas weather is always changing lol😞.. I’m at 33 and that’s just clothes not even accessories or shoes. So imma kinda struggling. 😂 My brain thinks I’m giving away the items. But I’m just putting them into my art room. I’m so glad I decided to do this with you 🎊❤️

Owning less doesn’t always translate to “no style”, in fact it can actually mean that you know what you like and avoid what you don’t 🙌🏽 That’s something I hope to achieve for myself through this challenge!

I don't wear anything black, I find a lot of 333 Project stuck in black mode. Would have been good to see you wear some.
That’s okay everybody has their own personal style and preferences. Wear what makes you happy! I found black to be the most versatile for my lifestyle when creating my 33 wardrobe, however my full wardrobe contains a more diverse palette. To each their own 🙂
my clothes are literally just enough to last me two weeks. after that, i have nothing to wear anymore haha btw ur so pretty and Filipino too!

Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes I did mention that as it’s one of the convenient abilities of a longer coat. It’s also great when wearing thinner pants since it covers more area. I also actually included a midi dress since it’s better than a mini in terms of warmth 🥰

@@HaleyVillena 30 for just clothes and coat and shoes (add 4 for purse and a few pairs of earrings) 🥰 a few years ago I was a hoarder of clothes and had a walk in closet and jewelry and stuff I never ever wore. I finally FINALLY have made it to “the end zone” 😌😂

fantastic edit Haley! was wondering if you did a similar process with loungewear? I know those are not included in project 333 but still working from home and wondering how to make some guardrails around the constant leggings and hoodie scenario. thanks!
Thank you Jessica! Yes I certainly put a few loungewear pieces into storage for this challenge, however since “at home attire” isn’t included in the 33, I didn’t feel the need to pack away too much. I’m at home a lot of the time anyway so it’s nice to have clean clothes available when needed 🙈 If you have too many loungewear pieces I’d suggest figuring out how many you really *need* on a weekly basis and get rid of the rest 🙌🏽
