    • Agreed, i once let an elderly woman sit on the bus but because i couldn't stand properly during a turn myself (was carrying heavy stuff), i accidentally stepped on another woman's foot and she yelled impatiently at me even after i apologized. Thing is, in my country, if you don't give up seats to elderly, it's considered disrespectful, especially if you are young yourself. Worse yet, they mostly take the 'act of kindness' for granted, then go home to continue bitching about millenials who don't give up their seats instead of appreciating those who actually do. It's bad because the government supports such acts by installing ''reserved'' seats on the train, as if especially for them, making them more ungrateful and entitled. I contemplated making actual kindness cards to educate such elderly people that ''Kindness isn't defined by age. I have been kind to give up my seat for you. So do the right thing and say thank you. Be grateful.'' but then that would also be rude because it'll feel like i'm commanding the elderly people (in Asian we have this thing where the older people can teach the young but if the young teaches the old, it's like you don't respect their experience). There's just no 'right' way about kindness.

    • I agree but is doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be kind to people. I would say I am kind (trying not to sound like I’m bragging) but I try make sure people know I won’t put up with it if they take advantage of me. But this is for people I know mostly.

    • The Lifestyle Guru 2019 hey my sister was pregnant in October, and actually before she delivered that was her size. Which means she could deliver anytime soon. Already, I have backup for you. Second off, if you’re that close to delivering with that size, you should *NOT* be on the train, at that, moving at all.

  • STORYTIME: so when I was about 7, my mom took me to illinois to she my first musical (it was hamilton and it was incredible) we were walking to the show since it was by our hotel, and on the way, I saw a homeless man. He looked to be about my mom's age and I made about 20 bucks in 5 dollar bills in my purse I was carrying to get ice cream.i took out 5 dollars and told my mom"wait!" I looked and my money and said to myself: "it's not much, but I'll go with it" I walked up to him and said "here you go sir, it's not much but I hope you apreciate it." And I will never forget what he said after: "you are an amazing little girl and God bless" and as I walked away I saw him look at the 5 bill like it was a bar of gold. He was so happy and I was too. My mom didn't say a word about it but then when we got back to the hotel, I was playing games on my tablet when my mom said to go to bed. I'm 10 years old now and I will never forget that man.
