Love how Ottawa scoops up the shittiest coach available before the fired coaching domino effect even came into play.
The Sens hired a guy who doesn't have a winning record as a head coach. Yay.
Ottawa, just why...
Green is a disaster. Poor Senators, see you in the 2029 playoffs.
LOL and you thought the new era in Ottawa was gonna be GOOD LOL, Here a tip Berube was never going to Ottawa, He is going to either NJ or Toronto
As a NJ Devil fan ! YESSSSSSSS
Jay Woodcroft is a MUCH better coach and would be a great coach for them too bad they fumbled like crazy
Both Buffalo and Ottawa completely fumbling on the huge step forward both of them took last year. What a tragedy.
Growth/learning in the NHL is not linear.
senaturds....
It's funny because Sabres and Sens fans were putting Wings fans down before the 2023 season non stop. Saying how far ahead they were only to shit the bed completely lol.
I think they will both improve next year. They do play in a tough division, but I think Toronto will regress next year.
@@thenickfoxxand now Detroit fans are putting Buffalo fans down to shit the bed next year
Travis Green is definitely not the answer for the Sens
Craig Berube would be a better head coach for them.
@@SantiagoTPC literally anyone would be a better coach
The Sens believe in recycling.
LOL Talking about buying out PL Dubois already... Best comedy coming out of Hollywood in ages
That draft class was something else, eh?
It makes sense because of the 1/3 buyout option. If the Cup Final runs later than his birthday it changes to a 2/3 buyout - which would make it extremely unlikely to occur.
PLD is a bust
@@choppergunner8650 No he's not lmao. He's a 1st line center on a decent amount of teams, it's clear that L.A. is just the worst possible fit for him and the team. If he's in Montreal or say for example Chicago, he's a much better player right now. Now rather that's because of the players around him or he's in a better situation (keep in mind Doughty called out multiple players for being toxic apparently), that's what up to you to discuss but he's not a bust whatsoever dude lmao
@@HarryRiceHockey bro is a bust. If you're constantly getting slandered by more than 2 teams, there's something very wrong with you.
Travis Green? Is Dorion still in charge of head coaching hires?
Stankoven has looked great for Dallas. Hard worker with the skill to back it up. Dallas has an underrated young group of players.
It’s been kind of funny seeing Oilers fans realize their front office passed on Wyatt Johnston right before Dallas took him.
Really like watching him play.excellent focus and effort..
@@Archangel1994Had to check the draft list to see who Oilers got instead, big oof so far 😂
Oilers did just fine when McDavid wasn't in the lineup. MacKinnon is absolutely vital, though. He deserves it all the way.
Kuch isnt? Lmao they would not have been in the playoffs at all without him
Honestly they were pretty bad without mcdavid from what I remember
Fair point. I think people are realizing the Oilers do, in fact, have depth throughout their roster.
Both players are vital to their teams.
@@teajay3671oilers beat vegas 5-1 without mcdavid lol
Why is Edmonton and Vancouver getting such a long break between rounds?
I wonder that too. They said that it was due to them not having gone to game 7, but looking at it, even if both went to game 7, they would have gotten 2 days off before playing this game which none of the other series did.
Arena scheduling. Conflicts with other events.
Carolina won their series in 5 games and still only got 4 days off before having to play game 1 of the 2nd round. Vancouver went to game 6 and gets 4 days off between games before playing game 1 of round 2. It makes no sense.
Don't the Avs and Nuggets play in the same arena? It could be due to scheduling issues in the venues.
@@boblikesfood862 they shouldn't have scheduled anything during the playoffs or they should start in Edmonton
Honestly didn’t think Travis Green was any bodies first choice of head coach but here we are.
Not impressed with Travis Green..but hope Sens management has seen something I simply haven’t observed with his coaching efforts..
Great updates and unbiased analysis! 👏👏👏
The Sens are going nowhere for 4 years now. What a surprise!
Hart means most valuable to his team right? So let's look at stats that are "valuable" to a team. Out of these 3, Mack had the most ice time per game, most games played, most game winning goals, most overtime goals, most even strength points, most even strength goals (by 10), most shots on net (by 99 shots), highest +/- (tied with McDavid), MacKinnon scored 16% of Avs points, Kucherov scored 15.5% of Lightning points.
For funzzies, if PL Dubois did get bought out at 25, the Kings would lose 1.6 million in cap space for the next 2 seasons, 2.5 for the 3rd season, 3.8 million for the 3 years after that, 2.8 million for the 7th year, and a 1.13 million dollar penalty for the 7 years following.
I feel so bad for senators fans 🤣🤣🤣
Having more points on a worse team, with bigger point separation between him and the next teammate, Kuch is in my eyes the most valuable player to his team in the league. Also he's a winger.
Congrats on 315k!
Travis Green sure didn't do anything for the Devils.
Picks: NYR, COL
Why Travis Green 😭😭😭
Especially for 4 years. 2 is passable but 4 is terrible.
honestly i can't think of a person more qualified to have a vote for hart than Shannon.
“No plans to buy out Dubois” we’re screwed with this management
Hoping the best for Green and the Sens. I would like to see both prove all the doubters wrong
We are the next Buffalo aren't we. Can't believe I made fun of the Sabres for bringing Ruff back and then the Sens go and get his assistant coach. Like wow best in class sure doesn't seem like it from this new ownership group I hope I eat my words but Green really doesn't inspire much for me about how he will get the team to win. When the Canucks and Sens were both in the North division DJ Smith coached the Sens to a better record than the Canucks under Green I'm pretty worried
Green is a terrible coach. I don't understand why this guy still gets jobs. I feel bad for you guys.
I thought the exact same thing with you guys being the next Buffalo. I feel really bad for Sens fans.
Yes. We are.
Vancouver is so screwed against Mcdavid without Demko healthy
News of the day video❤
…just enjoying the ride.
If Travis Green is the answer, what was the question 🤔 ?!
Lol
The question was "How bad can we suck?"
How to win next year's draft lottery
He accurately predicted a goal for Lafreniere.
That Green hire is utterly inexplicable.
tampa bay lightning mentioned go bolts
Hiring Travis makes me feel green 🤢🤮
Last Night: 0-1, Slumping Hard 1-5 Overall: 28-18 Picks: CAR, DAL
NYR, Col Record: 30-11-5
NHL needs to give THG a vote
0-1 yesterday, 30-16 overall. Picks: CAR/ DAL
Speaking as an oilers fan, it's not Mcdavid this year.
yeah id say Kuch for sure. No chance they make playoffs without him and he was responsible for more then 50% of the teams points
Picks (24/46) Yesterday: 0/1 Today: NYR, DAL
I can't complain. The 3 finalists are all deserving. I can't complain no matter who wins it.
Mack attack is back jack
Yesterday: 0-1 Overall: 27-19 Canes Stars
GO AVS GO!
Hmmm...why the TB jersey?
I think the most likely winners for hart are mackinnon and mcdavid in my opinion. wit the huge comeback for oilers and just consistent success of the avs
If Freddy struggles in Game 2 I will not be surprised if the Canes move to Kotchetkov for Game 3.
I really don't understand the NHL scheduling. Canes and NYR play game 2 tonight, meanwhile Vancouver and Edmonton still have not started their series yet...
Western Conference second round is gonna be lit! Edmonton Oilers vs Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche vs Dallas Stars should both be great matchups.
Oilers and Avalanche rematch incoming...Oilers in 5 and Avalanche in 6.
PLD after his birthday is an increase in 2/14 years more!!
THG: Guenztel & Lafreniere are due to score. Both of them scored. Wizardry I tell you.
Yesterday: 0-1 Record: 26-20 Today: NYR, DAL
We had Claude Julien saying it would be ideal for him to coach Ottawa and they do this. I hope it works out but man this is questionable
Really disappointed that former Wild coach Creed Bratton didn't get the Sens job
He's replacing Sheldon Keefe 😉
My picks Car, Col
Kuch, Mcdavid ..either one.
Can’t agree on McDavid. Outdone by the other 2. It’s Kuch or Mac.
@@girardedward he pulled his team out of the gutter. And then put in another 100 pt+ show. That's kinda what an MVP does.
Buying out PLD, while arguably the correct move, would effectively be Blake signing a resignation letter. It's open admitting that the biggest trade and sign of Blake's career was an avoidable mistake.
You choose Mac over Kuch while wearing a Bolts jersey... That's f-ed up!🤣
Totally unbiased. lol
If the Dubois trade continues to look bad for the team next season, I can honestly see Blake being on the hot seat and potentially losing his job as early as next year at minimum.
MacKinnon deserves the Hart.
Ottawa is cooked lmao. Next buffalo
Buffalo should bounce back next year
@@nicolasdeperno2000 Bouncing back for them may not necessarily be saying a ton
@@user-by3nd4rm6c they will probably be a playoff team next year Washington Pittsburgh islanders are all done
@@nicolasdeperno2000 Eh, I wouldn't count out the Islanders with a full season under Roy. Don't forget that Detroit is going to have playoff mandate next year, we may not be optimistic on Ottawa going forward, but so will they
@@nicolasdeperno2000 how many years has this been said? Lmao
Yesterday: 0-1 Overall: 24-22 Today: Rangers,Avalanche
Hope the Rangers can keep it going , I think Carolina will try to keep out of the penalty box and if they do the rangers will need to pick it up 5on5 , I expect a closer lower scoring game , we will see
Rangers will win though....😮
My Vote is KUCH -> Nate Dogg -> McJesus. I think Kucherov was the biggest reason for Tampa to be in playoffs. NateDogg was expectional too, very physical, very 200ft game and a big part of the success. After the shiiityyy start, McDavid was great all throughout and Oilers came back from down and out to home ice is first round. My heart does go for MacKinnon but Mind says Kuch.
Great analysis🎯! Agree with your choice there👍!
@@HAL9010-sv1ghimma tell you why you’re both wrong and why both your mind and heart should be with MacKinnon winning it this year… Hart means most valuable to his team right? So let's look at stats that are "valuable" to a team. Out of these 3, Mack had the most ice time per game, most games played, most game winning goals, most overtime goals, most even strength points, most even strength goals (by 10), most shots on net (by 99 shots), highest +/- (tied with McDavid), MacKinnon scored 16% of Avs points, Kucherov scored 15.5% of Lightning points. MacK isn’t only the winner because it FEELS like he should be, it’s because statistically he should be as well.
@@BodyofWater_ Take away both Macks And Kuchs ENP and Mackinnon beats Kuch in points overall too. This is the dogs award this year and hopefully he gets rewarded with the Ted Lindsey too!
Well I didn’t see that coming 😂 Boston did well. Going into tonight, I sit at 25-21 … With that, your winners are NYR and DAL !
0 and 1 yerstday 28 and 9 record in the playoff
but you're wearing a tampa hat lol
Jay woodcroft to the leafs or jets?
Jets, if he's lucky. Jay is more of a C-tier coach. When your team goes from terrible to great after your firing, you aren't anyone's 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice.
Khl lol
The Jets should try to hire Gerard Gallant
Stars win in OT tonight. Series goes 7
I think it's good the Blues decided to keep their banisters, I bet a lot of people would get hurt walking up and down the aisle if they removed them
well played
I can already hear the screaming from Matthews supporters
Matthews and Leafs fans are not saying this. The conversation across the hockey world has always been between MacKinnon and Kuch. "Why do we always make it about the Leafs" mfs are the ones always making it about the Leafs. Look in the mirror bro!
@@clever-username It's your "fan-boy" media that draws fans hatred.
@@clever-usernameI've definitely seen leafs fans complain he's not a hart nominee despite the fact he has 69 goals and a selke nominee 😂
Green was finalized today, but looking back on his Canucks’ time…meh. As certain Senators’ fans have said, maybe he was the best and most experienced of those who actually sounded like they had no issue coaching for Ottawa, not just for the title and paycheck.
Not sure how Sens management/new ownership thinks Travis Green is the coach who’s gonna fix that team’s massive issues with underperforming. While Vancouver did have that nice little run in the bubble playoffs, Green’s era Nucks were a structural mess, somehow managed to be way worse each year than they should rightfully have been, core guys often underperformed and there was very little buy-in from players up and down the lineup. The Devils couldn’t get it together either under Green despite how talented that team is. Jay Woodcroft isn’t perfect by any means, but he makes way more sense for the Sens than Travis. As soon as I heard Demko was gonna be out for at least the first round, all my expectations for Vancouver went out the window. I’ve made my peace with it so now I’m just enjoying the ride and whatever happens, happens. Mackinnon for Hart
PLD contract is about to be as bad as the Milan Lucic contract was xD
greener days ahead in ottawa 🤢
Blues keep Bannister? Figures...not surprised...Another great move by Armstrong. (Rolls eyes).
It's the easy option. My take was that the Blues needed to make changes in the assistant coach area.
Would be nice to hear your Vancouver era take on Green. Please bring some depth to your vids 🙏
HG---it is pronounced In-ter-im....a 3 syllable word.
Avs in 6
McDavid wanted nothing to do with the art ross or hart this year. If he did he would have won them. That goes for the rocket as well.
Lmao RIP senators aka the new sabres
Why are Bruins games start at 8 and the Rangers is 7
Cant wait for sens fans to not show up to games. No ones waiting another 4 years of no playoffs with that coach
AVS ALL THE WAY!!!❤️
last night: 0-1, total: 30-16 tonight: CAR, COL
kings are pain
It does seem like rob blake is kind of shooting in the dark with all the moves he’s made. We need to get California hockey back into the death gauntlet it was 10 years ago.
I would rather the sens had just hired Gruden at this point......
Kuuuuuuuuuuuchhhhhhhh
Of all the coaches Ottawa hires that fruit loop? I've never liked green as a coach! Just another step backwards in Ottawa? PLD buyout better make him stick boy to so you get your money out of that contract?
Yeah sure, PLD should have been bought out, but just look, he got picked for team Canada at the world's. Woo hoo! Try and wrap your mind around that. I didn't realize Blake was the GM for that team as well.
I'm a Bruins fan and would totally agree with MacKinnon or Kucherov, not Connor...he pouted as the rest of the team to get the coach fired and then played like world beaters...
Kucherov should get the Hart. He dragged the Bolts to the playoffs on his own pretty much.
nyr colarado
he wore tampa than says if he had a pick mackinnon ive never felt more clickbaited
Sabres catching mad strays in this comment section jeeez
Sens organization isn't serious about being an NHL team. Absolute circus show there.
McDavid doesn’t stand a chance. 1 - sports writers find higher numbers sexier, most of the time. 2 - Kuch has the whole “they wouldn’t have made the playoffs without him” narrative going, despite them making the playoffs comfortably. 3 - Nate was on the highlight reel A LOT this year, despite also playing on the strongest team. Showed lots of flash. 4 - sports writers get bored awarding the same guy year in, year out, i.e. easier to award someone not named Connor. 5 - despite piss poor start, Oilers season-long climb back up standings wasn’t impressive enough. Verdict : Hart goes to Matthews. 😂😂😂 Kidding. I think Kuch has it sown up.
McDavid doesn't want it. If he wanted he would have took it.
Not speaking for all Kings fans, but I’m pretty frustrated and disappointed with ownerships decision to keep Blake and Luc. Keeping PLD fits the narrative that mediocrity is fine with the franchise. Go ahead and throw us in with all the other franchises going nowhere.
