Coverts are actually better muslims
As a designer, this was so relatable. I had to turn down a lot of high-paying projects and jobs because they had a haram element. But alhamdulillah in the end Allah provides you from places you don't expect.

Subhan Allah it really is. As a designer I've also had to turn down job opportunities because of the haram elements. Allah is the best of providers. The more haram we turn down, the more the Almighty provides.

Alhamdulillah Allah has guided my classmate to the straight path. He took his shahada yesterday he's only 13 years old and his family are atheist. I feel bad because it will be hard for him may Allah have Mercy. Alhamdulillah tho I will take him to Jummah and help him pray and seek knowledge.

All it needs is to be logical and avoid prejudices to embrace Islam. It's a religion that suits human nature and bring inner peace and closeness to God Allah.
Punishment for homosexuality in Islam The Companions unanimously agreed on the execution of homosexuals , but they differed as to how they were to be executed. Some of them were of the view that they should be burned with fire, which was the view of ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and also of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), as we shall see below. And some of them thought that they should be thrown down from a high place then have stones thrown at them. This was the view of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). Some of them thought that they should be stoned to death, which was narrated from both ‘Ali and Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). After the Companions, the jurists differed concerning the matter. Some of them said that the homosexual should be executed no matter what his situation, whether he is married or not. Some of them said that he should be punished in the same way as an adulterer, so he should be stoned if he is married and flogged if he is not married. Some of them said that a severe punishment should be carried out on him, as the judge sees fit. Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah be pleased with him) discussed this issue at length, and he mentioned the evidence and arguments of the jurists, but he supported the first view. This is explained in his book al-Jawab al-Kafi li man sa-ala ‘an al-Dawa’ al-Shafi, which he wrote to deal with this immoral action. We will quote some of what he said: “Because the evil consequences of homosexuality are among the worst of evil consequences, so its punishment is one of the most severe of punishments in this world and in the Hereafter. The scholars differed as to whether it is to be punished more severely than zina, or whether the punishment for zina should be more severe, or whether the punishments should be the same. There are three points of view: Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, Khalid ibn al-Walid, ‘Abd-Allah ibn al-Zubayr, ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Abbas, Malik, Ishaq ibn Rahawayh, Imam Ahmad according to the more sound of the two reports from him and al-Shafi’i according to one of his opinions, were of the view that the punishment for homosexuality should be more severe than the punishment for zina, and the punishment is execution in all cases, whether the person is married or not. Al-Shafi`i, according to the well-known view of his madhhab, and Imam Ahmad according to the other report narrated from him, were of the view that the punishment, etc.
@@jamesreed6634 don't know where you copied this paragraph from, but i see a mistake. The Prophet forbade to burn people alive with the fire, for it is Allah who gives such punishment, and not us.
I am an interior architecture student. In my mind, I was always questioning between my religion and my job, just like this brother. Why did I choose this job? Couldn't I have chosen a job that would allow me to practice Islam better? These kinds of questions were always in my mind. Don't get me wrong, I am in love with Islam. As a designer, I can TOTALLY relate to this. I didn't have the luxury of freelance projects, but looking for a job. A self taught designer, I knew I would struggle to get my foot in the door without any experience, but I persisted in designing my portfolio and 20 years later (part of me being lazy) I managed to get a job in the design field for a very big company in a certain industry. The pay is ok, but I knew wouldn't be designing anything that goes against me religion. The interview process was soooooooo easy, I woundnt even call it an interview, as it was an informal talk. Alhamdulillah, been here a few years, they've given me my own prayer room (which I didn't ask for), allowed me to work for more days from home and they won't book any team dinners, unless it's 100% halal restuarnt/no alcohol. Alhamdulillah. With such a firm foundation in pleasing Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, look how HE opens doors 😢😊

I went through the same thing with design companies handing me lotto and casino projects, and I had to pause and tell my employers. I was so afraid of many things but wasn't expecting that Allah swt would have their hearts open to me and they said don't worry about it. You have every right to choose what you want to work on. Wow, so he was behind the "salaam sisters" project. Our madrassah in Delft, Cape town , South Africa had the privilege of gifting them to our students much to their pleasure. I want to say shukran jazeelan to you
