    • You still feel it, but its more like a very very tiny burning sensation, not a shocking sensation. Feels like the sparks from an angle grinder. The closer you get to the tesla coil, the more the sparks hurt. If actually touch the metal circle on top (Toroid) it will shock the crap out of you. if you touch the wires, like the black primary coil at the base, or the red wires mounted on the outside of the glass it will most likely kill you, and burn your skin to the bone instantly.. that's the reason im hesitant to make a 'video how to make a tesla coil' if you messed up with this gun the worst you will have is a painful burn for 3 weeks, slip up with a tesla coil and you are dead :/

  • Now, I wonder if you could could heat the metal portably using your portable induction heater but a custom version where the coil is around the molten metal magazine. A thermometer or timer could be set to tell you when it’s melted and ready to fire.

  • Molten metal spray guns have been made and used to make durable moulds . I had catalogs of a firm in Australia (I think Hobart based) making an identical product . The feed is of a low melting alloy though.

  • Copper and Antimony act as hardeners while Lead is common in the lower grades of Pewter, which have a bluish tint. It has a melting point, around 338 - 446 F ( 170 - 230 C ), depending on the exact mixture. Pewter was first used around the beginning of the Bronze Age in the Near East.

  • ok imma make like 2 sections of what im gonna say 1:it can cut through things if its hotter then how you heated it but the risks of destroying something inside or something like that it could go straight back at him and do something bad or it would spray out in different places 2:i think the reason it sprays like that is because its like a last resort and its low on metal and the air pushing it out is too strong and is causes it to spread out (from a rare gamer SavageBeast)

  • I wonder why no one points out that's this in it's principle is basically a weapon of reapers from mass effect. If i remember correctly it shoots a stream of molten metal. Of course, they use some high temperature tungsten alloy and accelerate it to a relativistic speed with mass effect instead of air pressure, but at the end of the day stream of molten metal is the stream of molten metal.

  • You don't need Teflon you need higher air pressure and better flow. Might leak a little air but you'll have more metal types to choose from

  • You should try gallium if it's not too expensive. You can melt it faster and if your gun breaks and spills you aren't horribly burned.
