  • Both of them getting exposure at the same time, Dricus and Jiri remind me a lot of each other. Both revel in their strength and endurance, revel in their toughness as they pursue the hard, the hardest, finish, and a genuine, deep love for what they do, the love of fighting for a living, everything it entails, culminating under the hot lights of the cage and the performance. They both react similarly when struck... Dricus always smiles a bit, nods his head a bit... acknowledges that it was a good shot. Jiri does similar things, the talking to himself, using his hands to show "good one" to the opponent, bit a smile. Very similar in how they fight (very unorthadox), similar qualities. KO you or sub you... whatever. Sean is predictable. But he knows how to duck. That gives him longevity in a fight. But he may be working on that predictability, seeing it is a massive weakness, especially if you are the WC. Adesanya finally got mugged by his predictability. I think Dricus's take on why it will be a fantastic fight is spot on. Seany is a fighter, he is tough, he loves the dance, the puzzle, moment by moment, of understanding his opponent... Great stuff.

  • Ddp is a beast but the quote in the title is bs. Pereira does have heavy power but it was more timing that got him that ko not power and sean has better timing than ddp in my mind. Just cuz pereira knocked him out doesnt mean ddp will they are very different fighters and i respect both their talents a lot but its true theyre just very different scenarios. Not saying he cant do it but its just a weird comparison to me they are not similar styles at all

  • i like DDP but im rooting for Sean this time, its his first defense and DDP will be taking that belt and holding it for awhile, plus if Sean loses he might not get another title shot the UFC doesnt like him
